Denise, congratulations on your new job! I never found much in the way of Disney classroom decor, but I can tell you from shopping for Alyssa's and Matthew's rooms, that Home Depot has some neat removable adhesives (princesses, Pooh, Mickey and friends, Nemo, Tinkerbell, and Cars). I also made a lot of my own Disney mini-motivational posters and laminated them.

Jennifer, I hope you are feeling better soon!

Paula, great pictures!

Oh, Denise I missed the new job thing. WTG!!! :Pinkbounc

Ok, Becky needs some pixiedust tomorrow. She is taking her drivers test to get her real license. She just wasn't ready before but the last couple of months has really wanted to drive and has done so every chance she could. The only thing I'm really worried about is the parallel parking. We don't have much of that here so it is hard to practice. We'll be spending a few hours practicing in the morning. I'll set some stakes up in the driveway. She spent 1/2 hour just driving down and backing up our driveway getting used to the feel of backing up. It was amazing how much she improved in just that 1/2 hour. There is a selfish side of me that hopes she won't pass but then the real mom side wants her to accomplish this!!!!!

:wizard: :tinker: pixiedust::tink:

Selfish Vicki.... back off and let real mom see her daughter get what she wants.

We went to Home Depot last Saturday morning for their Kids Crafts program. Apparently they do it the first Saturday of each month. Kids can build projects. They supply the projects, tools and instructions. The best part was that it was completely free. These are the projects that my kids did.

These are the cookies that we made today. The kids decorated them:

We have decided to cancel our camping trip for this weekend. If you've watched any weather reports you know that New England is having a summer Nor'easter. We have had non stop rain all day. The rain is supposed to taper to on/off showers for the weekend, but we still expect a lot of rain. My brother and his family can't go as his truck is sitting in Chris's garage. He needed a lot of work done. Chris worked on it Monday night, Tuesday night and tonight. He fixed everything that was wrong with it, but when they tried to bleed the brakes a brake line broke. He will now be replacing all of the brake lines. It was a good thing that it happened in the shop and not while towing his camper. My parents were thinking of cancelling due to the weather so we all are cancelling. We promised the boys that we'd do another Home Depot craft clinic as it is our Home Depot's 1 year anniversary so they are having special events. They also want to go bowling and we all want to go see Cars. Since we are staying home I will have to work Friday night as they were really short handed without me. Oh well.

Deb

WOW!! LOVE the pics, great work!!
Hope the weather changes for you soon. Sorry you cnx your camping trip.

Today was an exhausting day. Poor Alyssa has a diaper rash, so she was rather cranky and I spent most of the day cleaning, which makes me cranky too. At 1:30 p.m. Remax called to ask if a realtor could show the house in an hour. As much as I hated saying it, I had to say no...first, Alyssa would be napping and second, I was still trying to get the house looking decent. When I told Kevin later that I said no, he wasn't too pleased, but for crying out loud, an hour's notice?!!!

So, around 5:30 p.m. I'm making dinner (the showing wasn't until 8:15 p.m. so there was plenty of time to do this) and the phone rings. Remax again...someone wants to see the house now. In fact, they are parked next door waiting for the okay! So, Kevin says fine, but please understand the animals are here, I'm making dinner, etc. The realtor was very nice and he spoke highly of the house as he walked through. They must have been out looking at other houses and decided to stop by. The man he was showing around spoke no English, and we heard the realtor speaking Spanish to him throughout their tour.

Okay, so we eat dinner, and I vacuum one more time. We lock Lucy (evil cat)up in her cage, Kevin takes Libby (dog) to the new house, and I take Alyssa to Home Depot. On my way home, I drive by at 8:35 p.m. and there's no one in the driveway. I call Kevin and tell him I'm just going to get Alyssa ready for bed. He comes home about 10 minutes later. At 8:55 p.m. the doorbell rings!!! They were very apologetic for being so late. This time it was a young woman who works at Children's Hospital. She took lots of pictures. This realtor was very nice and complimentary too. They left around 9:15 p.m. and now here I am, telling you my saga!

Though I hope the house sells ASAP, it will be nice to be all moved in to our new house and not have to worry about these showings! Whew, what a day!
Keeping my fingers crossed Amy. Could part of the problem be that you are showing the house "by appointment only?" I know 5 years ago we did that and our realtor discouraged it, but we had 2 dogs and we both worked during the day, so there was really no place to lock them up.

The kids did a great job decorating those cookies!

Sorry you had to cancel, but as much as I hate to say it, Virginia could use a little of that rain, if you can send some here.

Our parallel parking is now called "manuverability". And so many people fail it the first time around they make you take before you take the actual driving exam, because if you don't pass, they don't let you take the driving part of the test. (I passed by two percent; no I'm not a bad driver, I drove a stick shift to my test and there are hills everywhere where I took my exam! The examinator said I "rolled" on the hill too much...yea whatever!)

Good morning DDA! We had some excitement here last night. Emma lost another tooth. As you can tell she was very excited knowing that the Tooth Fairy would be visiting. And it won't be long for the 4th tooth, I just hope the TF is better prepared. This tooth was worth $5.

Hey, I've already said that I'll stop buying after this auction ends. I really, really want this one though - more than I wanted the convertible. It is a Tigger Disney Water Baby. I'm told by another Pal Mickey fashion dresser :lmao: that the outfit fits Pal Mickey. Won't that make a cute Halloween costume for him?? Tigger is my favoritest character of all time. That's why Pal Mickey has a Tigger buddy. I bought a dalmations water baby outfit a week ago but it hasn't arrived yet. I couldn't resist as that is what my girls dressed up as when they were little. They loved the 101 dalmations.

Thanks Vicki, I went to Ebay and checked these babies out and found a Dumbo one that I will be bidding on. Molly will love it!

Terry - what a wonderful card. He IS a keeper! Have a wonderful time at the shore. We will miss you!
