My DS Jake had two baseball games last night. His team was in a three way tie for first, so they played a mini-tournament last night. His team won both games, and the first place trophy. He had fantastic hits each time at bat -- always over second base. I was so proud!

Way to go jake.
He's a cutey.
I like the team name.

Ok, here are the pictures!~

Giving PM a big hug.

Right before going into surgery. PM and Pooh went too!

After surgery. PM and a new Mickey baloon!

And today, making the Sand Art creations that Deb sent the kids. They turned out so cute, and we all had a great time making them. Thanks, Deb!!!!

I got the job! 4 days a week as lead teacher. So I have a question. I am allowed to decorate my room however I want, so obviously I picked Disney!!!! Anyone know where I can get Disney themed teacher supplies such as posters, b'day banners, etc? My kids name tags will be Mickey and Minnie. I'm also going to get Disney fabric for curtains. I'm really excited. And the Director's son just finished a 6 month internship with Disney, so she's a huge Disney fan too!

Denise great news on the job.
As to the Disney I always check out the Goodwill.
I have found some good finds.

We went to Home Depot last Saturday morning for their Kids Crafts program. Apparently they do it the first Saturday of each month. Kids can build projects. They supply the projects, tools and instructions. The best part was that it was completely free. These are the projects that my kids did.

We have decided to cancel our camping trip for this weekend. If you've watched any weather reports you know that New England is having a summer Nor'easter. We have had non stop rain all day. The rain is supposed to taper to on/off showers for the weekend, but we still expect a lot of rain. My brother and his family can't go as his truck is sitting in Chris's garage. He needed a lot of work done. Chris worked on it Monday night, Tuesday night and tonight. He fixed everything that was wrong with it, but when they tried to bleed the brakes a brake line broke. He will now be replacing all of the brake lines. It was a good thing that it happened in the shop and not while towing his camper. My parents were thinking of cancelling due to the weather so we all are cancelling. We promised the boys that we'd do another Home Depot craft clinic as it is our Home Depot's 1 year anniversary so they are having special events. They also want to go bowling and we all want to go see Cars. Since we are staying home I will have to work Friday night as they were really short handed without me. Oh well.

Ok, Becky needs some pixiedust tomorrow. She is taking her drivers test to get her real license. She just wasn't ready before but the last couple of months has really wanted to drive and has done so every chance she could. The only thing I'm really worried about is the parallel parking. We don't have much of that here so it is hard to practice. We'll be spending a few hours practicing in the morning. I'll set some stakes up in the driveway. She spent 1/2 hour just driving down and backing up our driveway getting used to the feel of backing up. It was amazing how much she improved in just that 1/2 hour. There is a selfish side of me that hopes she won't pass but then the real mom side wants her to accomplish this!!!!!

I'm glad the kids had fun with the sand art. It did look like fun. It is good to know that Rees bounced right back from surgery. Is the reflux gone now?

I'm off to bed as these boards take forever to load lately.

Today was an exhausting day. Poor Alyssa has a diaper rash, so she was rather cranky and I spent most of the day cleaning, which makes me cranky too. At 1:30 p.m. Remax called to ask if a realtor could show the house in an hour. As much as I hated saying it, I had to say no...first, Alyssa would be napping and second, I was still trying to get the house looking decent. When I told Kevin later that I said no, he wasn't too pleased, but for crying out loud, an hour's notice?!!!

So, around 5:30 p.m. I'm making dinner (the showing wasn't until 8:15 p.m. so there was plenty of time to do this) and the phone rings. Remax again...someone wants to see the house now. In fact, they are parked next door waiting for the okay! So, Kevin says fine, but please understand the animals are here, I'm making dinner, etc. The realtor was very nice and he spoke highly of the house as he walked through. They must have been out looking at other houses and decided to stop by. The man he was showing around spoke no English, and we heard the realtor speaking Spanish to him throughout their tour.

Okay, so we eat dinner, and I vacuum one more time. We lock Lucy (evil cat)up in her cage, Kevin takes Libby (dog) to the new house, and I take Alyssa to Home Depot. On my way home, I drive by at 8:35 p.m. and there's no one in the driveway. I call Kevin and tell him I'm just going to get Alyssa ready for bed. He comes home about 10 minutes later. At 8:55 p.m. the doorbell rings!!! They were very apologetic for being so late. This time it was a young woman who works at Children's Hospital. She took lots of pictures. This realtor was very nice and complimentary too. They left around 9:15 p.m. and now here I am, telling you my saga!

Though I hope the house sells ASAP, it will be nice to be all moved in to our new house and not have to worry about these showings! Whew, what a day!

Sending :wizard: that Alyssa's diaper rash goes away quickly and :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: that your house sells quickly.

Here if you don't pass the parallel parking they won't even let you do any other driving. It is the first part of the test, after the inspect the car and you have to make the lights, windshield wipers, etc work.

Not just each state, at least here it varies from Driving center to center. I lucked out when I got my license as I didn't have to wait 6 months after I turned 16 and had to have 50 hours of documented behind the wheel experience in various areas, such as parking, highway driving, country driving, etc before I could get my license. It changed to these restrictions after I got my license.

Since I am now caught up and watching Ray I will share how my evening went.

It rained just about all day today, so we held the Bridging ceremony inside. It went extremely well and I have a feeling it will end up being inside in the future as it kept everyone at the ceremony and not running off to the playground. Lots of people commented that they liked it inside. Personally I still wished it would have been outside but you gotta make do with what you got. I heard it was the best Bridging ceremony in years which made me feel good. :goodvibes

Each troop presented either a song(s) or a poem(s). My girls choic was Are you Sleeping and they wanted everyone including the parents to do the Hokie Pokie. Well I changed the words of Are you Sleeping? to this
Are You Sleeping? (Are You Sleeping?)
Families and Scouts (Families and Scouts)
We sure hope you are not (We sure hope you are not)
So please stand up (Please Stand Up)

Thank you for coming (Thank you for coming)
To bridging (To Bridging)
Won't you please all join us (Won't you please all join us)
And do the Hokie Pokie (And doe the Hokie Pokie)
We then did the Hokie Pokie, it was great fun to get everyone involved, I think the girls had great ideas.

One of my Brownies kept asking me if it was the last time she would see me as I am not having the Brownie Girl Scout troop in the fall. She even made me a homemade thank you card. I know she will be the one to miss me the most, as she never wants to leave. She might be moving over the summer so I might not get to see her, even though I will be around with other Girl Scout stuff.

Here is the tree we put together during the ceremony from the parts I made, each level was represented by a different tree part. It was quite interesting getting the leaves on as the back post was 8 feet tall.
Bridging2006040a.jpg

All I got left for this Girl Scout year is the community Flag Burning Ceremony on Flag Day. Worn out Flags are collected from the community. We destroy the flags properly by cutting the stripes apart and the blue part off of the flags and the stars are cut out and then they are burned as this is the only proper way to destroy the United States Flag. It is really neat to watch and participate in.

The only other thing would be the pool party whenever I end up planning it. :rotfl:

Ooh, you did get it! I've been sitting on pins & needles wondering if you had received it yet! :lmao: What did the girls think?

We got it today and they say "Thanks Aunt Vicki!!!" But I am wondering why I'm a monkey when they are bears? :confused3 :lmao:

They don't have a Tigger water baby at our Target. I won't go any higher on my bid. If I get it, it would be about the same as you buying it and shipping it. We have Sesame street water babies at our target which are also adorable. They are $15. Next time you are at Target, see if they have one and let me know how much they are. If they have a Piglet, please buy it for me and I'll reimburse you. Piglet is Becky's favorite after Tinker Bell.

Okay, but you do realize with all this running around I am doing for you, I am enabling you? :lmao: Ah heck you are enabling me too....love to shop at Target!!!

btw...what's a water baby??

It sounds like someone new will get to sleep in Cinderella Castle at WDW and a Mickey room at DL every night after getting the royal treatment during the day! Now that is absolutely awesome!

I'd love to be a winner of one of those golden fastpasses.

I'm not sure I'm lucky enough to get either. I figure I don't have luck when it comes to things like that because I have such a magical life as it is. Leave the extra magic to others. However, this would definitely be me if I did win something. :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

They gave away one of those golden fastpasses away already!! I would love to have one too!!

KristineN said:

They are little baby dolls that are plastic and empty until you put water in them. They are heavier than a baby doll and wiggle and are more pliable. They've been around about 15 years, maybe more. Cassidy had at one point I think 4 of them. They are great....all right you caught me, one was mine!! :rotfl:

So DH gets me an anniversary card and when I start reading the first part, I gotta admit, he is getting me a funny card, but also I know he is good for a tear jerker.

so the card starts out with :
After all this time,
I still want to...

on the inside

Have fun with you
fall asleep with you,
wake up with you,
dig deep with you,
be friends with you,
act bold with you,
make love to you,
grow old with you.

tear jerker
I love my man
probably won't get him to WDW
but I love him
