Jennifer - did you get there about 3:30 and do you have a blue car with a Mickey antenna topper and a Disney license plate that says been there done that and a UC sticker?!!?

If not - then there was a girl in front of me that seems awfully similar to you -

I should note I was driving and could not see her face - and didn't think it was appropriate to stalk her into the Target parking lot - we were on our way home!

I think that is would be appropriate for us to make a donation through the Pixie Dust Fund for OctoberBeauty -

what do you all think?

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

If we can find out the sizes and favorite characters of the family members, I will make a shirt or two for each of them.

:rotfl: Actually, no it wasn't me. I have a red car, no antenna topper currently, and a Miami plate/sticker.

But I swear, I was at Target (@ VOA) from about 3:15-3:45  :rotfl:

So is the server busy message related to the new RSS feeds and ads?!!?

It is very annoying!

I agree, this morning it too so long, that I gave up and now I am behind.

Why is technology so fabulous? We love it and hate it all at the same time.

Thanks for the help with the bags. I appreciate the opinions. I am going to order the smaller ones for all her teachers. Here is a design that I came up with for her teacher and assistant

I am going to have Emma put her handprints on either side of the design. I am working on something for the other teachers.

I like this also!!

As a former teacher, I would have adored to get gift cards to a book store. I would also have liked cards to restaurants, movies, etc. Those are things that most teachers can't afford all the time. During the summer they come in handy.

Thank you, I will make something and give a GC.

I know how you feel. That's one of the reasons we moved to our current location. Here in Alpine, we have tons of family. 3 of Alan's siblings and their families live here. That gives us aunts and uncles and tons of cousins. As we've gotten to know people here, there are now several girls that I trust to sit my kids. Still, when we go out of town without the kids, I prefer to leave them with family rather than have a sitter stay in the house with them.

Trust me, though, it's worth it to get some good sitters. You and your hubby need to have some time away from the kids to maintain your relationship. Alan and I have date night once a week (another thing Flylady suggests). Sometimes we go to movies or bowling. Sometimes we go to dinner. Sometimes we go shopping, or sometimes we just go to a park and talk. It's very good for us. We reconnect as a couple and it is so nice.

I'm working on it. :goodvibes

Guess what I get the Stupid Award for today. Earlier today I was cleaning the gunk of packing tape off a pair of scissors and cut my thumb.

Sorry to hear this. Are you ok?

Finally, some pictures! :)

This is my new niece Taylor! :goodvibes She is nine months old. I was so happy to meet her, but Alyssa didn't like me holding her too much. It should be interesting to see her reaction when Matthew gets here!

Here is my brother being silly with his beautiful daughter!

This is Cousin Becca...she's a year and a half older than Alyssa, but she towers over her!

Just popping on quickly to say "hi!". Hope everyone who has been sick & their kids are feeling better.

My DH is coming home tonight. He has been in Columbus since Monday on business..hey Kate & Amy how close is Columbus to you guys??? Maybe I'll have to come out with him someday & I can make a road trip to the cheesecake factory to meet you all.

My DS Daniel's 7th birthday is Sunday. He is going to his first Mets baseball game & is so thrilled. He's a huge-o Met fan not sure if you remember my halloween (MNSSHP) pictures from October but he was a Met player for halloween. Anyway, we submitted a request to the stadium to announce his birthday & put his face on the jumbo-tron thingy. He doesn't know about this but he's going to be so excited when they do it. Kids 12 & under get to run the bases after the game. He also doesn't know that either...can't wait to see the look on his face when we go.

Hope all is well with my fellow DDA's.
How cool for Daniel! Take lots of pictures.

what do you all think?

By all means.

Kate,

I just went back & saw the aprons..They are fabulous!!!! What a great gift for the teachers! I like the flowers, they add a nice touch. :thumbsup2 .worth the spurlge I say.

Kate - loved the aprons. You and Julia make a most formidable team!

I hesitate to post this lest anyone think I'm hinting for birthday wishes, but knowing your fascination with numbers, I will. A co-worker pointed out today that my birthday this year is 06-06-06.
