Well, it's official. I need to stop cursing. The Donald Duck in me uses a few choice words during moments of frustration (break out the hot sauce Glynis!) and tonight, when Alyssa couldn't fit the crayons back in the box, well, she used one of those words...about six times before I realized what she was saying. Actually, Kevin picked up on it first, and since he swears once every two years, you know who got the blame.

Please, can I still swear here? ;)

Amy :)

I had/have a problem also. Ellie when she was starting to talk cam out of the kitchen one day saying. Chit, chit chit. I was floored and new I had to everything I could to stop that. So now I say things like HONESTLY! That seems to help some. Then I just go in the other room and say what ever I want into a pillow.

Since we are still on the topic of "disciplining" children...

Did anyone else's parents have a set of a HUGE wooden spoon and fork hanging in their orange and yellow 70's kitchen?

No BIG wooden spoons, but I did have many wooden mixing spoons broken over my backside. I was one interesting child and it is coming back to me. I swear I keep apologizing to my mother, but things have not changed. :confused3

You will have to come visit me then. The bar that I work at is part of a restaurant so it isn't really a bar bar per se, but I found a few tonight. The funny thing is I ended up bartending all night which I didn't think would happen and was the last to get off work so everyone else had already started drinking. We took my van because it hold 7 and headed to the first bar. I could tell I was too old for this partying stuff because the band sucked and was waaaaayyyyy to loud. We had a couple of drinks and a shot there then decided to go to another bar. One of my coworkers was drinking soda so she drove us to bar #2. We met another girl that bartends there and she got us all in with no cover charge  . By then I had lost my buzz from the previous bar and had decided not to drink as I would need to deal with my kids at some point in the morning. Did I mention that bar #2 has strippers? They took off everything except the panties. I was totally not impressed and neither was Chris. At one point he commented "is it a bad thing when I'm in a nudy bar watching the Red Sox game?" :lmao: :lmao: So after a couple of shots/drinks there we moved on to bar #3 which in my opinion was going to be another waste of time, but the birthday girl really wanted to go there as last call was an hour later. We got to bar #3 to find out that they had given last call 15 minutes earlier :confused3 We had even called twice, but they still wouldn't serve us so I drove everyone home. Chris was feeling pretty good so he needed some Turtle Time which was to be expected as we actually went out and had no kids tonight. So now he is sleeping and I am DISing, hoping to get tired soon. Oh What a Night.

Deb

Sounds like fun. Can I come next time? :teeth:

Jiminny Christmas is a favorite swear of mine....if I am really mad it becomes Jiminny Christmas and Hoppy New Year. Booger Butt, honker, dang nabbut all come into play at my house. I have never been a swearer always swore once around friends just to see their faces!! :teeth: Some of their reactions were priceless.
My oldest is learning some lovely things from a "friend" of hers....including the middle finger. I told her it only means something because we make it mean something. I don't think she believed me. :rotfl2:

I think I am going to have to start eating at McDonalds as they have adorable Build A Bear Toys in the Happy Meals. :rotfl2:

HELLO!!

How are things? What did I miss? What is everyone up to? I had a great time!

Paula - Thank you sooooo much for the SSP!!!! I can't wait to show the kids tomorrow!! You are wonderful!

That's AWFUL! I can't believe your DH's brother doesn't believe they're responsible?? Are they angels at home or something??

We were shopping yesterday evening and on the way out a young girl (about 6 I think) was throwing a tantrum as she wanted to push the trolley on her own and her mum wouldn't let her - I was just saying to DH that her mum needed to control her better... then they reached the car and the little girl said to her mum - I wanted to push on my own you HCTIB!!!! From the mouth of a 6 year old??? When I was 6 I hadn't ever even heard that word! It didn't even look like her mother reprimanded her either :faint:

:scared1: OMG!!!! I think soap on the tongue would have been in order after that!

I don’t think so little one!

WARNING!!!!!

NEVER CHALLENGE VICKI!!!! She is up for any and all challenges.

She called me on my post and she must think I am crazier to talk to than when I post. I kept talking and talking. (then again it was nice to talk with an adult again, yes I know DH left only a few hours ago, but he doesn’t count as an adult unless he is here with me.)

I had such a nice time talking with her, I hope to speak with her again some day soon.

Oh, I wonder if we could do a 20 way call.:confused3

Thank you Vicki, I so enjoyed our conversation. :thumbsup2

I am finally home from my week in Colorado. I had a great time with Theresa and her family last night. They took me out to dinner, and then we spent time chatting and catching up. Cassidy and Abi are just adorable, and I had a great time meeting Theresa and her family and getting to know them all better. Theresa, thanks again!!! :)

Here are a couple of pics we took last night in my hotel lobby:

If you are gonna have your hair cut, I would wait until after your night out.

Yes, I will be waiting until after the night out, because I know how to get my hair up like the military requires it. I would have to work on what to do when I don’t have to put it up. Thinking of that, the last time I remember NOT putting it up for military duty was 16 yrs ago during basic training. WOW that is a long time.
