I had a nice time...It's good to be back.. The segway tour was GREAT!! Everyone really enjoyed it. The 2 guides were terrific.

My family are so cute. Becky is teaching Chuck karate moves. Chuck's knee has been bothering him and it gets worse when he sits too long. He keeps standing up and running in place and punching the air.

:yay: for having enough desserts this year. :grouphug: to your dh for not getting any of your cookies.

Thank you for posting the recipe.

There were plenty of desserts to go around this year! Most of them looked really yummy, and all but one of them were homemade! Guess people felt guilty after last year.

The moonbeam cookies were really good. Here's the recipe for anyone interested:

Moonbeam Cookies

1 tube refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 Cup flaked coconut
1/2 Cup lemon curd (or lemon pie filling)
1/4 Cup white chocolate or vanilla chips
1 tsp. vegetable oil
Decorator's sugar

Empty dough into a bowl, and knead the coconut into it. Form 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Use your thumb or a spoon handle to make an indent in each cookie. Fill indent with 1/2 tsp. lemon curd or pie filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 13-16 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Let cool on a wire rack. In a microwave safe bowl, melt vanilla chips and oil for 1 to 2 minutes stirring after ever 30 seconds. When smooth, use a fork to drizzle over warm cookies. Immediately sprinkle with sugar.

I used edible glitter on them and they sparkled and were really pretty. I ended up leaving most of them home for my kids as I felt pretty guilty about making all these desserts for other people. By the time we got home, they were all gone. DH was upset as he wasn't able to get any at the dance.

Then I think it's definitely time to broaden your horizon! You must plan on coming to a DL meet!
I have also been to Canada, Jamaica, Bahamas, England.

I want to visit all 50 states and every continent and every Disney Park, so I got a lot of places to visit.

When is the Washington DC meet scheduled?
Basically the 15th and 16th of July. I know Kate will be there longer than that.

I will probably be there a bit longer also.....trying to work it out for me to be there about a week to 10 days.

This will be a short post as I jammed my finger today and it is really swollen and has turned black :guilty: I had planned to stay home today, get my camper cleaned and help the kids with their projects. Of course that didn't work out as planned. My Mother took the 2 older boys to a Kids and Cops day in a nearby town. They called shortly after leaving to say that Colby had been invited to attend by the Chief of Police. I ended up bringing him and was gone from Noon to 4 PM. It was fun and the kids got to play just about every sport that you've ever heard of. I was shagging balls during volleyball and went to catch 2 at the same time jamming the index finger on my left hand. Ouch. We finished the day and each of the kids were given prizes. Very nice. We got home around 5 PM and managed to complete Hunter's science fair project and about 1/2 of Nick's. So more to do tomorrow.

Glad to hear that Denise is ok.

Welcome back WDW travellers.

Hello to everyone else.

Thanks for the update Vicki. I am so glad you were able to talk to John. Prayers & hugs for Denise, Rees & the family :grouphug:

I just called Denise again and talked with John her DH. He said that there has been no change in Rees' condition. However, Denise now has a sinus infection. Between the Rees issues & the sinus infection, she is wiped out. I asked if there was anything we could do and he said just to pray for Rees & the family. I let him know that we are all doing that already and will continue to do so. I also told him to let Denise know how much she and her family means to us.

Deb, ouch, hope the finger doesn't hurt for too long. :grouphug:

Hello everyone! I just wanted to thank you all so much for lending your ear and giving such wonderful encouragement as our family goes through these big changes. On Friday, we had an auction of my grandmother's things. She had 4 generations of "stuff", so needless to say, there were SO many things that had to go! Many of the things have such fond memories, it was hard to see them go. I had to just keep telling myself that they were only "things", and the special memories I have cannot be taken away and are mine forever. We did purchase a few pieces of furniture that we would like to refinish someday. She will be packing up Thursday and Friday this week, and then will be moving to Clearwater, FL. I just can't believe how fast this is all happening! We also received news of a WONDERFUL BLESSING! My parents are going to be building a new house, probably beginning in July. The house that they live in now is NOT deeded with the farm as we originally had thought, so they are able to do with it as they wish - and they offered the house to us. I still can't believe it! What a huge answer to prayer! We will just need to find some temporary housing until my parents get their house built - and worst case scenario, I'm sure that we could move in with them for a few months, if absolutely necessary. So, things are certainly looking up for us - thank you again for all of your support!!! Sending hugs to you all! :grouphug:
Shana

Wow Shanna,

It is so nice to peek in here sna see some good news.   To your new home!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Glynis,

I agree with the taping of the children, (baby Cam)

I know this will sound harsh but when I was taking of my DH's cousin's child, she and my oldest son would really get roudy at times and I told them that if they could not keep quiet and watch the 'potty mouth', I was going to tape their mouths shut. Before I did this, I did discuss it with the mother. She was like whatever works. Had to do it only once for 15 minutes with masking tape and I was so upset but it worked and if I even went for the roll of tape after that, they would shut up immediately.
Your posessions are priceless to you and you have to do whatever it takes.

TAPE? I could send staples. :rotfl2:
