Did you greet him as such? And, did you ask him, "What can brown do for me?" :rotfl:

Amy :)

I didn't actually, because Cassi answered the door.

Unfortunately, the excitement has worn off and it's back to normal dreary stuff in Cincinnati! :sad2:

I am off to pick the boys up from swimteam practice and then home to make supper. I will try to check back with ya'll later in the evening.

Bye for now.....Lynn

The GI doctor's nurse just called because the Radiologist Report came back. It says the Fundoplication is Incompetent. That means it has failed. He is to call us tomorrow with more information. It also showed that Rees' stomach has rotated to a transverse (lying on its side) position which is very unusual and probably means it is trying to herniate. So, if this is all true, it does look like Rees will be having surgery. I will keep you posted. I told the nurse to have the GI doc call the surgeon so they could discuss treatment. I'll try to be back later.

I'm so sorry that it probably means surgery for Rees but I hope that it alleviates the pain that he is feeling in the long run. :tink: and prayers will continue for Rees & the Figs family.

Princess Bride is the movie of the month. Should be on a couple more times yet!! :teeth:

Jim loves Princess Bride...I think it's his favorite movie!!

It's also the one that Amy is always quoting!

I'm always low on cash lol I am hopefully planning a quick trip in Jan. to celebrate my ds 13th birthday. Aug/Oct might work if we can stand the heat :sunny: For me it would be better while school is out.

If we did value we would need to plan for 8/27-10/4.....or.....1/1-2/15. The Aug/Oct might be better since some people may be a little low on cash in Jan/Feb.

edit: I am talking about 2007.....time to plan and save

DDA Meet Requirements

The following are the official (until the queen gets back and changes it, for I am just the Court Jester:jester: who wants to be the Countess of Color and Fontsprincess:)

A DDA LAND or World meet is defined as….
  • When three or more DDA member meet at either Disneyland or WDW outside of a by chance meeting.
  • The three members must be those who post on the DDA thread (children, spouses and significant others do not count as DDA members unless they have a screen name and post regularly)
  • The meet must be discussed and schedule via the DDA thread.

This is the current official definition of a DL or WDW DDA meet.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao::rotfl2: :rotfl:

Sure, put the 3 or more in there. :lmao: Otherwise, Lindsay & I would have met the requirements!!!!! I can even go back and show you the original posts.

Uuuuhhhh, the machine broke?

I have forgotten how to use the machine?

My dog ate the thread?

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I had hoped that Paula wouldn't put the proviso of a DDA meet at DL or WDW because then Ellen and I would get one for tomorrow!! :teeth:

POFQ. We stayed there in October, standard view. It was nice. We ended up with a courtyard view. It was nice and quiet. Short walk to the pool, laundry, main building and parking lot. I think we were in building 4. I wouldn't pay extra for a water view as the grounds are wonderful no matter where you look.

I think that I am feeling better today. Since the aches and pains keep moving I feel strange going to the doctor with no specifics. It is probably the low pressure system that has been sitting over Vermont the last week plus. I really feel fine other than moving aches and pains. If it gets worse again or other symptoms develop I'll get to the doctors. We have crappy insurance so I really hate to go for anything, especially if I don't think that it's treatable. I did promise myself that I would get a yearly exam this year as I haven't had one in 3 years, which is the new standard anyway.

I spoke with Hunter's teacher this morning and she had just finished his state reading assessment and she was so happy with his results. It seems that he tested way above the standards and was in the top band. I'm so proud of him and am actually impressed that he has started reading for enjoyment in his spare time. He has a science fair project due next Friday so we will be working on that this weekend. He is going to make various sizes of egg drop protectors using upholstery foam. The teacher suggested that he make 3 different sizes and we will test them from different heights. We already have an 8" cube made. We'll probably make a 6" cube and a 4" cube. If the 4" cube protects the egg we might have to make a 2" and test that too. Nick has a big project due on Vermont. He has chosen the Maple Syrup industry as his topic which make sense as he already knows tons about it as we have done it for years. I know that I took a lot of video a couple of years ago, but I've got to find it and hope that we took video of all the steps, otherwise he'll be making a scrapbook or brochure of some kind.

The second weekend in June we are camping and they are having a themed weekend. The theme is Mardi Gras. One of the fun events is a costume contest at the Mardi Gras dance on Saturday night. Last year I won first prize. I had a short black dress with green, gold and pink diamond patterns in the front with a mask that I had made. I wore hot pink heels and thigh high fish net stocking which sealed the deal for the dj who apparently had a thing for fish net stocking :rotfl: :rotfl: They give free nights camping as adult prizes and small gift certificates for kid prizes. Prizes go to the top 3 adults and top 3 kids. So I put my thinking cap on today to see what unusual ideas I can come up with. This is what I have so far. I think I'll have Chris wear some brightly colored shorts and a tank and make him some "beer goggles" and put a lampshade on his head. I was thinking of using plastic beer mugs for the goggles with picures of a beautiful "10" woman taped to them. I haven't worked out all the details yet, but what do you guys think? I'm thinking of wearing one shoe and a table cloth with lots of Marid Gras Beads :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Any suggestions on what kind of table cloth would be obvious and Marti Gras looking? I think one of my kids could go as a boombox. That would be easy to make using a box. He could even have music blaring. Colby wants to be the bee hive so I might have to add beads to the bees or something to add a Mardi Gras feel. I haven't come up with anything for the third kid yet. So please anyone not on their way to WDW could you give me ideas/opinions. I am trying to do this without buying much as it doesn't make sense to spend a bunch of money for one night.

We are doing a Hawaiian Luau at the same campground in July. I thought we were going last year, but got the weekends mixed up. I had made the costumes so I will be able to use them this year. Chris is a bottle of Hawaiian Tropic Suntan Oil, Hunter is a Palm Tree, Colby is a blue sparkly fish, I am a Tiki God Totem Pole and Nick is a Bear in a grass skirt. Those are all done.

Thanks for reading this long winded post.

Deb

Good to hear you are doing a bit better today.

All will work out, just wait and see.

I love this idea. I'd like to suggest choosing a time during the value season because then I'd probably be able to make it. I'll have my annual pass for the parks so it would just be my flight, room & food for me. During value season, I can usually get cheap air flights as well.

If we plan it now I can also make sure to get the time off.

My boss is just now realizing I have two weeks off in a row!! in July!!

I am sorry but that would be an oxymoron!!

hot chick and military do not belong together. :lmao:

But you are probably the one and only hot military chick out there that isn't an oxymoron.

Well I am outta here, time to go to the baseball game. Catch you all later!

Well, we just got a phone call saying Cassi's game was cancelled (again). This means we're doing Kyle's birthday dinner tonight with my parents (who can't make it on his actual birthday)...... which in turn means I better pretend not to be angry with him :rolleyes1

Have a good evening.
