After TeresaJoy posted about seeing Kate, I sent her a pm when I saw that she was from Michigan. I told her I was from the U.P. and asked where she was from. She sent a nice note back saying where she lived, that her husband had attended Michigan Tech in the UP and where did I live in the UP. I sent another one saying that Chuck & I had met at Michigan Tech and the years that we were there. She sent another note saying that her husband was there at the same time. What a small world, she says! She went on to say that he used to hang out with Bob & Liz x, Dave y, Chuck & Vicki z. Imagine my surprise when I opened the pm and saw my name in the middle of her post. I couldn't read it fast enough.
This is our long lost buddy & his wife. We attended their wedding. I just asked Bob a couple of months ago if he had their address because I wanted to start sending Christmas cards again and their last one came back. He didn't have it. I just got off the phone with him and he is excited that I've found them too.
Bob & Liz were our neighbors in married student housing when we first got married. Dave, Bob & her DH were best buddies. Chuck was a grad student and worked a lot of evenings & Liz was a nurse that worked nights. I can't tell you how much time we all spent together over those first two years of my marriage. We hung out all the time. After we moved to Holland MI, they all met there to hang out one year. We got together for their wedding and Dave's wedding. These were very close friends. I'm so excited to have made contact with them again. I can't believe I did it through the DDA.
Can you tell I'm like this right now????!!!!!!

Hope your evening showing goes well and you get a bite on your house.teresajoy said:I don't know why he looks familiar to you, but he has always reminded me of someone, and I couldn't quite place it!
Bob was a college buddy of my husband's. He is also a friend of Vicki's who was also a college friend of my husband's. This might explain a bit:

Great job Jake.UP Disney said:He's originally from Indiana.
Ephram just loved the character meals more than at the parks as well.julia & nicks mom said:Mrs. Heg
You've gotten some great advice
I do disagree with Amy on one point - when Julia was 3 she was nervous when we first saw the characters in the park - after our first character meal - that all changed - the same thing happened with my niece when she was 3 - seeing the characters walk around and talk gave them a chance to watch the characters safely from afar for a while and then have the safety of the table between them and the character when they first approached - the characters are really good at the character meals of gaging the kids reactions -
You might also start with a meal that is face characters - I love the 1900 Park Fare breakfast - it is a combo of face characters and Pooh characters - both of my kids love it!!
ETA: while I disagree with Amy - I don't think she is wrong - just presenting a different point of view!![]()

Anyone know where I can get Disney themed teacher supplies such as posters, b'day banners, etc? My kids name tags will be Mickey and Minnie. I'm also going to get Disney fabric for curtains. I'm really excited. And the Director's son just finished a 6 month internship with Disney, so she's a huge Disney fan too!

UP Disney said:Hey, I've already said that I'll stop buying after this auction ends. I really, really want this one though - more than I wanted the convertible. It is a Tigger Disney Water Baby. I'm told by another Pal Mickey fashion dresserthat the outfit fits Pal Mickey. Won't that make a cute Halloween costume for him?? Tigger is my favoritest character of all time. That's why Pal Mickey has a Tigger buddy. I bought a dalmations water baby outfit a week ago but it hasn't arrived yet. I couldn't resist as that is what my girls dressed up as when they were little. They loved the 101 dalmations.
