The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 8

Update on my knee surgery. My physical therapist said everything looked great today. I have good movement and if all continues I should be back to walking normally within a few weeks.

Okay a quick update,
Olivia was feeling better on Sunday so we decided not to take her to the Dr. Instead I ended up going to the Doctor myself. I woke up at 7 with a severe headache. I took my migraine medicine
An hour later it had not gone away and when I took my temp it was 101.3. So I arrive at my appointment. The Dr sees me he asks me if this is the worse Headache I have ever had I said yes my migraines compared to this one is a 7 out of 10 on pain scale this one was a 10. So they give me 50 mg of Demerol and 25 mg of Phenergan. No change in HA. Then they sent me to the ER for evaluation.

So I arrive at the ER at 11am they admit me start an IV give me 5 mg morphine and waiting for a CT Scan. The first dose of Morphine did not touch the HA so on comes the second dose of 5mg of Morphine. Drops it down to a 8 on the pain scale. Chest x-ray done. Lumbar puncture done.
Since I still have HA I am given Dilaudid and phenergan. Eased the HA to a 6on pain scale. The ER Dr. decides to admit me this is about 4 pm. The admitting Dr finally gets their to see me around 8pm at 6pm I was given more Dilaudid because the HA was back to a 9. Finally get to a room at 11pm. Then down to MRI for an MRI and MRA of the Brain and an MRI of the neck. I have swollen tonsils strep. test negative. Lumbar puncture negative. Chest x-ray negative. MRI’s and MRA are all negative. HA was down to a 3 this AM. They gave me some Advil 600mg and I got to eat and have a COKE. The Dr. finally saw me at 1pm we finally got out of the hospital at 3:30pm went to my mom’s to get Olivia.
This was the first time Olivia had stayed the night with anyone. She sleeps in bed with Jeff and I, I am trying to figure out how to break her of it. SO I was really concerned about her but she and my mom slept on an air matress in their living room.
Okay well that’s it for tonight. Going to take my antibiotic and go to bed so Jeff can have the computer

So I have yet to post this, because I am hoping it is not to good be true. But I can tentitively go to the Washington D.C. DDA meet as I am currently not scheduled to work that weekend. This is all pending that our two new employees do not pull any "stunts" on us and the green card issue gets taken care of. As both myself and our manager are scheduled off that weekend.

That is wonderful news Becky! Hopefully the news will hold and you can go to the meet!

Everything is printed for Wednesday night, I just gotta gather everything together. I'll do that tomorrow night after my meeting.

But I could use pixie dust for no rain as they are calling for a 40% chance of rain on Wednesday night and this is supposed to be outside in a park and the place we would have to have it inside is really crummy.

Yes we are still going with the JOJO theme. Yes I will be making my own cake. Pilsbury makes a funfetti cake and icing that I thought would be perfect for a circuis theme. I think I am going to make it 13" x 9".

Hey Vicki, my evil cat says

Hi to the evil . They are so cute even when they are evil!

While I was at Disney last trip, I went in the bathroom at POR. Some poor little girl (about 5) had thrown up on the floor. The mom got the little girl to the garbage can and was holding her while she continued. I cleaned up the floor for them. The little girl started crying because on top of all of this, she had pooped in her panties (luckily she had a dress on). Her mom told her that they would throw the panties away and go get clean ones in the room. The little girl was almost hysterical begging her mom not to tell anyone. I felt so bad for her!!! I was glad that I could help clean up so that they could get out of there as soon as she was feeling better.

Katrina threw up all over herself in the car when we were on a day trip to my MIL's when she was about 8. I had to stop at a store to buy a new sweatsuit for her. I learned to carry extra clothes with us whenever we went on a car trip as she can get car sick.

Otherwise, I've been lucky when it comes to them getting sick.

I'm glad the headache is better although I would feel better if they were able to diagnose it. That has to be frustrating. I hope the HA completely goes away and stays away.

Did you look for the cat at your old house?

When we moved to Iron Mountain, we left a 40 acre farm. We had an outside cat and I asked a friend if she could stay there until our house was ready (we were living in a motel). She ran away. We looked for the cat at our old farm but couldn't find her. About a year later, the new owners of the farm said they saw a cat that looked like ours but they couldn't get near her. We really miss that cat!

If you watch the redneck comedy tour on Comedy Central, Bill Envil does a whole thing on bedroom slippers with a headlight. Those shows are so funny. I must be a redneck
