Often, each teacher has a school mailbox. You could easily drop them off in the main office and ask them to be passed out for you. :thumbsup2

Amy :)

I even know where the mailboxes are at the middle school. Guess I should have thought about that! The high school is new territory for me. I will definitely send each teacher a thank you, and I'll even try to get the kids to do it to make it more personal.

I know!!! I never realized how low the cost of living is here.... everywhere we went for residency was expensive, but LI was nuts! I knew it was expensive (who doesn't), but I thought it would be like a million dollars for a milllion dollar home (in my brain) and it was only expensive because you didn't have any other choices. imagine my sticker shock!

That is one of my big concerns about IBM shutting down operations here and having to relocate. We live in a very inexpensive housing market. I'm not sure we could afford to live anywhere else.

Amy, I found the photos! They are terrific! I'm not sure how I missed so many pages earlier. No wonder I often feel out of the loop.

Emma's friend has the same birthday as you, June. But she will be 6 on 06-06-06.

When I was pregnant with Molly I so wanted her to be born on my grandfather's birthday, April 4. Well she wasn't but when she was about 6 months old I realized that she in a way shared his birthday as his was 04-04-13 and Molly's is 04-13-04.

That's cool! My dad was excited because his birthday was Katrina's 1/2 birthday.

My birthday is 11-16-61 which I always thought was cool with only 1's and 6's. The last 9 digits of my drivers license # have all 7's & 8's except for one 4. I love number patterns. I look for them in everything!

You know, I always feel guilty that I don't do something for the middle and high school teachers. I'm not sure what I can do without breaking the bank and without my children's help (neither would take something in to their teachers).

Any suggestions?

Beth

Once the kids hit middle school, I made it their responsibility to do something for their teachers if they wanted. I was willing to provide the money or assistance but they had to take the initiative. Since they start changing classrooms every hour in 6th grade, they would have 5-7 teachers each year.

The girls did something for the teachers that took a special interest in them and made sure they had a good classroom environment. I say if the kids aren't interested, I wouldn't worry about it unless you see a teacher doing something extra for your child. When we did do something, it was mostly gift certicates.

Are the Tinkerbell ones new??

ETA: Popcorn doesn't work well!!!

The first tinkerbell is new but the second one is not. I like using that when I send someone pixie dust.

Ok, I'm gone for an hour and you guys are posting fiends. I come back and there's no one here. What's with that??!! :confused3

This is for the first tooth. After that it wiil be $1.

You're better than I am. We do a golden dollar for the first tooth, and a quarter for each tooth after that. Unless the tooth is lost at grandma's house, then it's more, go figure! We also give more if the tooth is lost on a holiday. Katie lost one on Christmas Eve and the Tooth Fairy left her a dollar for that one.

Thanks for the help with the bags. I appreciate the opinions. I am going to order the smaller ones for all her teachers. Here is a design that I came up with for her teacher and assistant

I am going to have Emma put her handprints on either side of the design. I am working on something for the other teachers.

Love it! :dance3:

OK, I just noticed that we have new smilies... is that why there are so many pages to get through tonight?!?!?
