I was gone for 7 1/2 hours and only 2 new pages were posted :confused3 Come on guys we must be more talkative than that.

I had a horrible night at work. My boss is a PITA. He did not schedule enough bus staff and had me short 1 1/2 wait staff. I say 1 1/2 as I had a new waiter that has only worked 2 prior weeknight and he puts him on a short staffed Saturday night. I babysat all night. He even had the audacity to tell me that I was over seating him. He had a section with 6 tables and I never sat more than 3 tables at once. :confused3 I explained to him that it was my job to find tables for customers, not babysit the waitstaff that cleary had no place working on a Saturday night and that if he had trained him properly or staffed us properly I wouldn't have oversat him. I don't think I'll be getting a raise anytime soon, but give me a break :furious: I am usually a very even tempered person and always stay calm even in stressful situations. My good friend that has worked there with me for 14 years even commented that he had never seen me get so worked up. At least tonight is over. I feel bad for the new guy as I rode his butt all night, do this, do that, pick up plates, etc. etc. etc. He must think that I'm a real HCTIB. Oh well.

Deb
Tell him to "Deal With It". JUST 3 tables?! IMO you did the right thing!

We were never considering the marathon. We are planning 3 weeks at the end of July - beginning of August 2007. Lots of time to plan and save :teeth: I wonder if anyone else will be down there then?

Deb
I thought it was you, someone said about how after running the marathon their DH would like to challenge themself to the Kitchen Sink. Off to see if I can find out who it was, but I swear it was you. :confused3

Alright I'm going to bed. DH and DD just got home. About a month ago. we had some really bad storms here and in Waco where DH 's dad lives. THeir was awooden playscape that got blown over. FIL got it at a resale shop for $300 it only needs a few boards repaired. So less then the cost of a brand new playscape I am getting a slightly used one. Any way Jeff and Olivia wnt with my brother and mom to waco when Jeff got off work at 3pm CDT to get it and just got home.

So I am off to bed. see you all in the morn.

It wasn't you Deb, it was Chris himself in the DDA weight loss accountability thread.

Would it be hypocritical to walk a 1/2 marathon and then celebrate by eating a kitchensink by myself?

Chris may have made the comment, but we were never actually planning a trip then. The kids are in school and they would never forgive us if we went without them.

Who's here tonight besides Jennifer and myself? Vicki, did you get the office cleaned, are you lurking? Chris won't be home from the Red Sox game for another 2 hours or more so I hope someone is around.

Deb
I'm here for now, I have been busy shredding papers for several hours and am watching High School musical for the first time, and Dissing. I have a big trash bag full of shredded papers. I have lots more to shred as I've got records from my Grandparents from the 1970's and before, why they kept them all for so many years is beyond me.

Sorry that your job did not go well tonight. Sending you :wizard: for smoother nights at your job in the future.

We are at the stage in our kids education that pulling them from school for any length of time makes it difficult to catch up. They are both excellent students and put a lot of pressure on themselves to bring home top grades. I think our vacations will coinside with school vacations for the next 15 years or so  I would consider pulling them for a couple of days, but I don't think I'd do a whole week again. I understand why people do it and certainly see nothing wrong with it, but I know my kids and it just wouldn't work for them.

Ok, I just thought I was going crazy because I remembered reading about running the marathon and eating a Kitchen Sink and then you said about never mentioning it so it had me even more convinced I was going crazy. It's all good I was just very confused. :)

Ooh, now to meet the pillowcase guidelines set by Paula, we have to schedule a meet while we are there and talk about it on the thread. I haven't really set an itinerary yet. As we get closer, we'll have to make sure that we discuss our get together!

Hey Paula, here is the 1st post about a tentative meet of 3 DDA regular DDA members. UP Disney, Cinderumbrella and myself! :lmao:
I think steffy will be their during that time as well.

Apparently everyone has gone to bed. I'm still checking in, but do you know that there are many other forums out there to read?

:rotfl: I'm always so busy trying to keep up here that I've not read anything else in months. Interesting Gator thread on the resort forum.

I know that feeling of never being caught up on this thread. I'm still here just working on assembling things. These are two of the many projects I have been working on.

Award Flower pots with Girls names on them. I have to reattach the patches to the sticks as they were all falling off.

Becky those are very creative. I couldn't understand why you were making wings as we got cloth ones when I moved up, but now I understand that you are making large ones for the girls to wear as wings on their backs :rotfl: Thanks for the visual. Sometimes I can be a little dense.

I think I'm heading to bed. My Tylenol PM is kicking in and I have no idea when Chris will get home anyway.

The small cloth ones wings and their Bridge to Junior rainbow are actually attached to the large wings. Like you said they will get attached to their backs when they bridge. I made large wings last years for my Bridging girls. This year anytime I mentioned Bridging the question always was, will we get big wings to fly up with? Suprisingly this simple thing was the most requested thing from last year. So I had to make them big wings. They are about 2 feet across.

It's frustrating isn't it :scared1: I love our pets so much, but I am at wits end. The older dog often Poops inside as I don't think he even knows he is doing it now. Sometimes he does it while he is laying down. I am constantly cleaning the rug. The female now requires pretisone and antibiotics for he immuno dificiency disease (probably for the rest of her life) and the meds make her have to pee and it isn't always outside. She also has a really purple, blood tinged tongue which I am assuming is from the meds so when she licks her face all the time she has blood tinged fur which makes her look mangy. The cat goes through his stressful times and marks everything. I love them, but don't know when I will have to draw the line. My oldest son came to me last night and told me that he thinks it is time to have his dog Tuffy, the older one, put down. He said "Mommy he can't stand up good and almost can't walk" Nick has been his biggest advocate. He cried himself to sleep last night. I just keep praying he goes on his own. I don't want to have to play God. Each time I buy his meds I think well, I'll give him one more month. What to do, What to do?

Deb

I'm sending lots of :wizard: and :grouphug: for you and the kids - my cats are my babies and I know I'd be devastated if anything happened to them.
