Have any of you seen Over the Hedge yet?

We promised the girls to go to the drive in to watch it tonight and the line to get in was 6 blocks long!! :sad2:

So we told them and our little friend that we would take them tomorrow night and get there earlier!! :teeth:

I just wondered if anyone else had seen it yet!
We're going to see it Monday. I've heard it's really good!

Thanks Marci! I talked to them last last night. Hopefully all will go smoothly :thumbsup2

I received the letter concerning Riley & ADHD & it says that he is at high risk. So I guess now I wait till we see the Dr & see what he suggest. I just Want Riley to be able to focus more. I am really worried about him taking medication & what effect it may have on him. I want him to still be his normal self if that makes any sense.

Claire - Thanks for telling me to be cheeky! I got two hats for $9 instead of $8 each!!! Now I just have to wait three days for the next auction to clear (which is still only at my lovely bid of .01 cent) but I still have three days for that to go up some; and then I can get the last shirt and I'm good to go for MNSSHP!

:woohoo: I just love a bargain :thumbsup2

So... do you think I'll need a bathing suit on our cruise? :rotfl:

I swear, I own like 7 of them that are all fairly new. I loved buying them once upon a time. :rolleyes1

So I go today, to see if I can fit into any of them? And I have NO idea where they are!!!! I have searched high and low, because - as far as I know - all the clothes boxes from storage have come and gone, and I didn't remember seeing them. So, they must have been here all along.

Well, they aren't. And according to my OCD lists we made when we moved here, they aren't in any boxes in storage either :confused3 :confused3

How do several swimsuits just diseappear?!
Your bathing suits are probably in the same place all of our missing socks are :confused3
Good excuse to go buy new ones!

Poor Alyssa. I get home from work tonight and Nicholas comes running out into the garage, before I even get out of the car, telling me he hit Alyssa in the head with the door but it was an accident. I get in the house and she is laying on the couch with and ice bag on her forehead and dried blood on her shirt and pants. She looked so sad and pathetic. My first question is 'does she need stitches'--she's already had them once. No. John and Nicholas explain to me that she was chasing Nicholas into his bedroom and he goes to shut the door, with the edge of it cutting her in the forehead. So she has about a 1/2 inch gash. Our neighbors, husband and wife, both nurses, come over to check her out. He works the skin back into place to form a nice line and gives us some saline and patches her up with those steri-strips that hold the skin together. They give us a supply for about a week and say she will prob not have a scar (I hope not!). So I've pumped her up with Motrin and just put her to bed. I hope she has a good night. Poor Nicholas feels so bad.
Tammi, I hope she feels better soon. Here's some :grouphug: for her and Nicholas!

From someone who regularly colors....definitely wait until after your trip. The sun will fade whatever color you put in.

Jen why don't you get your hair cut the day before as planned... but colour your hair yourself the week before? It's much cheaper to do it yourself and then it doesn't matter if it fades on your trip. As long as you use a good quality shampoo and conditioner for colour treated hair you shouldn't do too much damage.

What colour were you going for?

In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth and populated
the Earth with broccoli, cauliflower and spinach, green and yellow and red
vegetables of all kinds, so Man and Woman would live long and healthy lives.

Then using God's great gifts, Satan created Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and Krispy Creme Donuts. And Satan said, "You want chocolate with that?" And Man said, "Yes!" and Woman said, "and as long as you're at it, add some sprinkles." And they gained 10 pounds. And Satan smiled.

And God created the healthful yogurt that Woman might keep the figure that
Man found so fair. And Satan brought forth white flour from the wheat, and
sugar from the cane and combined them. And Woman went from size 6 to size 14.

So God said, "Try my fresh green salad." And Satan presented Thousand-Island Dressing, buttery croutons and garlic toast on the side. And Man and Woman unfastened their belts following the repast.

God then said, "I have sent you heart healthy vegetables and olive oil in
which to cook them." And Satan brought forth deep fried fish and chicken-fried steak so big it needed its own platter. And Man gained more weight and his cholesterol went through the roof.

God then created a light, fluffy white cake, named it "Angel Food Cake," and said, "It is good." Satan then created chocolate cake and named it "Devil's Food."

God then brought forth running shoes so that His children might lose those
extra pounds. And Satan gave cable TV with a remote control so Man would
not have to toil changing the channels. And Man and Woman laughed and
cried before the flickering blue light and gained pounds.

Then God brought forth the potato, naturally low in fat and brimming with
nutrition. And Satan peeled off the healthful skin and sliced the starchy
center into chips and deep-fried them. And Man gained pounds.

God then gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calories and still
satisfy his appetite. And Satan created McDonald's and its 99-cent double
cheeseburger. Then said, "You want fries with that?" And Man replied, "Yes!
And super size them!" And Satan said, "It is good." And Man went into
cardiac arrest.

God sighed and created quadruple bypass surgery. Then Satan created HMOs.

 Ok I'm reading this and :rotfl2: then I get to the punch line and :confused3 What's an HMO???? :confused3 :sad2:

I just got back from taking our dog, Shane, to the vet. He has developed a large lump on his butt, next to the tail. So she aspirated it and from what she can tell it does not appear to be anything serious. However, if it keeps growing it could eventually interfere with his rectum and going to the bathroom. So if we are going to have him operated on we need to do it now, before it gets bigger and harder to close. So, the estimate is around $600. The difficult part is that he is almost 15 years old, but really in good health otherwise, except he is going deaf. So I'm thinking this is something that needs to be done.:guilty:
:wizard: :wizard:

We had to take our cat Charlie to the vet this week... on Sunday morning he peed on our floor length curtains and I had a fit! Then later on he peed on a pair of socks that I'd dropped after doing laundry... I thought he was being naughty... Then on Tuesday night he just wondered round the room crying and squatting down on anything on the floor... like the newspaper, or some papers I bought home from work... we had to keep grabbing him and running him up to the litter tray... poor thing. We took him to the vets on Wed am and he has cystitus (sp) apparently it's common in male cats after something stressful happens (probably the arrival of our new sofas!!) So he's on meds and is back to his old self! Apparently once he gets it once it's likely to recur, and we have to watch him because if he ever can't pee it's life threatening and we have to take him to the vets immediately even if its the middle of the night!!!

Phew! Tuesday was a stressful evening and made me think of how on earth you all manage with sick kiddos!

Clare - a Health Maintanence Organization. A kind of health insurance for Americans to purchase. I understand why you wouldn't "get it"!!

That's good. I didn't think it looked great, by Kyle wants to see it because he's obsessed with the soundtrack. Most of the songs (with lyrics, anyway) are by one of his favorite artists, Ben Folds.... not mine, to say the least

You'll have to let me know what you think! I'm sure we won't be seeing it any sooner than Monday!

Kind of.... except I don't WANT any more this size!! :rotfl: Not to mention the fact that I'll have to be more selective, which equals more money (I'm assuming). I'd rather spend the money on something fun DURING the trip!

DH took our kids when I was in WDW. They said it was cute. I wish we had a drive-in around here, especially one that gets new releases!

I'm a little unsure of doing it myself, because my hair doesn't hold color very well. I know low-lights are a different process, but highlights should last several weeks and never last more than 3 or 4 if I do it at home... and last about 10 weeks if I get it done in a salon. I think it's a little different solution, but more than that I think their version allows for more processing time without causing extra damage. Unfortunately, this is one thing I think they'll continue getting at least some of my money for! I do go for bargain haircuts though, if I'm just getting a trim :thumbsup2

I'm not really sure of the color... I'll post a picture or two when I have a chance to find some. Honestly, I'll probably have to wait until after anyway since I won't have time to think about it before then! :rotfl:

Hey Tia came with you after all!! ;)

So did you add PM into that EE photo afterwards or was he really there?? How on earth did he stay in the car

[ETA] I just noticed this is post 2727... maybe I should stop posting!
Nope, he actually rode it, and put his hands up like the rest of us. I could tell you how we did it, but then it would ruin the magic. ;)

We have one near the university I went to... it's about 45 minutes from here. I never made it to see movies there, but it always shows 2 first-run movies plus some cartoon short (from.... who knows where, never anything I've heard of!)

Unfortunately, it's getting sold :guilty: My guess is the person that buys it won't be keeping it a drive-in. We used to have several, but they're all disappearing. I'm guessing it can't be too profitable! Ours is only $7.00 for 2 new release films!!!!!! That's a matinee price for 1 at a theater!

I've been wondering where you've been. I figured either really busy at work or really enjoying your dd being home.:goodvibes
