thank goodness it comes out on DVD next Tuesday!!!

Hi, all. Graduation and the music program were wonderful. Davis got Most Caring, Brantley-Kate got Best Teacher's Helper, and Rees got Most Curious. The IEP meeting went very well too. Got everything we wanted with no problems. He will receive PT, OT, and Speech Therapy. Also will have a Parapro come into his classroom 2 times per day to help him with work.

Oh, and Rees' next tests are on Thursday am at the hospital. I'm sick with bronchitis again, and feeling crummy. So, I'll talk to y'all later. Have a good day!

Ok all you creative types:

My really good friend just found out she is having a girl after 4 boys. Can we say EXCITED!!!! She is just over the moon, happy about it. Anyway, I'm throwing her a shower at the end of June, and I want it to be really nice. I need ideas for refreshments, party favors, games that aren't too embarrassing for her, etc. Let me have all your recipes, ideas, etc.

no its not totally odd.
you could make a diaper cake for the center piece you take size newborn or size 1 diapers and rool them up. then make layers. then you tye travel size lotion, baby shampoo, spoon, bib, diaper rash cream, rattle, etc. to the sides for decoration.

DH has not heard from his friend who had little madelyn yet. He told him to call them on mothers day to wish the new mom happy mothers day dont know if he did. will let every one know when I hear something.

Ok all DDA bakers, I wannna cheat so give me all your Dump Cake recipes please.

Easy peasy.

2 Cans of filling
1 cake mix
1/2C-1Cup melted butter

Put filling in the pan, pour cake mix over the top, pour butter over the top. Cook for 1 hr. at 350.

My favorite is raspberry filling with french vanilla cake mix.

Okay what I thought was mosquito bites might be chiggers instead. I asked some of the ladies I work with. This is what they think it is. did research on the internet and I agree. now to find a way to get rid of them. any suggestions all I know is they itch like crazy.

Chiggers are easily removed from the skin by taking a hot bath or shower and lathering with soap several times. The bath will kill attached chiggers and others which are not attached. Since symptoms of contact may not appear for several hours, it is not always possible to completely prevent welts caused by chigger bites. Antiseptic should be applied to all welts which do appear. Temporary relief of itching may be achieved with nonprescription local anesthetics available at most drug stores. Studies have shown that meat tenderizer, rubbed into the welt, will alleviate itching.

I asked this question on the resorts board, but no one is answering. I found that I will have a few extra dollars for my trip and decided to upgrade from Pop to a moderate. I couldn't decide between POFQ and CBR. I've stayed at both in the past. POFQ was just redone in 2004. My main reason for wanting to upgrade is that the bus stops at the parks are a little closer than the values (especially Pop). I finally chose POFQ since the resort is smaller than CBR and quieter for the most part. I called and got water view. Do you think I chose wisely? What would you have done?

I couldn't decide between POFQ and CBR. I've stayed at both in the past. POFQ was just redone in 2004. My main reason for wanting to upgrade is that the bus stops at the parks are a little closer than the values (especially Pop). I finally chose POFQ since the resort is smaller than CBR and quieter for the most part. I called and got water view. Do you think I chose wisely? What would you have done?

Honest opinion? Don't spend the money on a water view! Yeah it might be nice, but how often are you in the room?
I always ask for a corner room. Two windows makes the room look bigger! We were in Room 6201, corner room. If you sat on the air conditioner (which is really a window seat if you think about it!) you could see the river!
Glad to hear you picked FQ over CBR. CBR is too spread out in my opinion, and there is only one bus stop at FQ. Everything is literally within a 4 minute walk of something..room to bus stop, main building to pool, pool to room...

Ok all DDA bakers, I wannna cheat so give me all your Dump Cake recipes please.

1 20oz can crushed pineapple in syrup, undrained
1 21oz can cherry pie filling
1 package yellow cake mix
1 cup chopped nuts
1 stick butter, cut into thin slices.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, grease 9x13in pan.
Dump in pineapple, spread over bottom of pan.
Spoon on cherry pie filling.
Sprinkle on cake mix.
Sprinkle on nuts.
Place butter slices over top.
Bake for 48 to 53 minutes.

(PS...I actually call this my Sunday morning "coffee cake"! It's great warm or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!)

Thanks, Chanon. I really wanted preferred, but they said they were sold out of preferred. I thought perhaps water view would be closer to the food court and the bus stop. Do you think I should now "downgrade" to a standard view or do you think the water view will be closer to everything?

ETA: We might be at least "at" the room more than you might think. We're going at the end of August and thought we'd take pool breaks in the afternoon.

I'm asking for prayers for my neighbor. Her 24 year old daugher passed away on the 14th from a massive stroke. She left a newborn baby boy.

I cannot say about CBR but I really liked POFQ.
