Paula-your girls are so beautiful! It seems odd to see them in swimsuits when it is rainy and 48 (feels like 43 according to weather.com) and the 10 day forecast shows 8 days of rain, 1 day cloudy and 1 day of heavy rain & winds but it is forecasted to be 65 on May 20th. I can usually see the Boston skyline from my office window but today I can't even see the entire parking lot to the office building.

Deb-here's still hoping the sun will find its way to shine on your boys this weekend! :wizard:

How about some Disney flowers to brighten things up?

Bernadette - what kind of camera do you use?

Your pictures are AMAZING - maybe I should just use your photos for my family room!! I really do want to try - but if I fail - I might ask you for some of yours!!

Life around here pretty much sucks today. The weather is crappy and it is predicted to rain right through the weekend. Each time I look at a report it looks worse :furious: I have packed our rain coats, but I'm beginning to think that boots might be in order too.

I called our Vet this morning he couldn't get Tiffany in until Monday unless I was willing to schedule an emergency visit (complete with the emergency price). Since I had no idea what we were dealing with I decided to find a different Vet. I ended up finding one that could see her 45 minutes later and it was just a regular visit charge (*** ? This Vet has never even seen us?) So we went and the Vet was absolutely wonderful. She spent 45 minutes checking her out and ran a few tests. She has a urinary tract infection and she suspects that she is suffering from an Immuno Deficiancy disease. She is now on Pretisone and an antibiotic. We could have a biopsy done for $400 or treat her this way. The thought is that the problems will clear up then reappear periodically for the rest of her life requiring repeat treatments. She said that it is like Lupus in humans. The biopsy would probably just confirm the diagnosis which would end up with the same treatment. Elin posted how her dog is pretisone and has to go potty NOW. I have been warned that Tiffany will have this issue while on the meds and to expect some accidents :sad2: I guess it might be a good thing that we are camping this weekend as she will be outside a lot.

:cheer2: To all the kiddos taking swiming lessons. I have taught lessons in the past I cannot stress how important it is for kids to learn how to swim and to do it young. Water is all around us and keeping our kids safe is so important. I love to hear how the kids are meeting these new challenges. As an added benefit swimming is such good exercise. Kudos to all the kids and parents out there.

:rolleyes2 I'm green with envy over all these upcoming trips. They sound marvelous.

:grouphug: :grouphug: and :wizard: :wizard: to all those out there that need a little today.

Deb

Deb,
I am sorry they are still calling for not so great weather this weekend for your camping trip. Sending :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: weather. I know you will have a great time whether the weather cooperates or not. I highly recommend that you take the boots with you. Follow that Boy Scout motto and Be Prepared for the crappy weather. You might want to make sure the other families know that they will be outside in the weather no matter what the case may be. The more prepared you are the less likely it is going to occur.

Last year for our Service Unit camping trip, they were calling for hail, tornadoes, and horrible thunderstorms all weekend. We went anyways it rained all weekend and thunderstormed on and off, it was chilly too as it never got above 50 degrees. We were outside in the rainy weather most of the weekend. Everyone had an absolute blast and they didn't want to go home.

Sending more :wizard: :wizard: for :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Sending :wizard: that Tiffany gets well quickly.

For those of you complaining about the rain, I want to let you know that we have rain mixed with snow & it is 32 degrees. Less than an hour from here, they are warning that the rain is freezing on the roads. Yuck!!!!!! What I'd give for a fireplace right now - even a gas one!!!!

Beautiful picture of the girls! In case you are not available again in the future when I need you, here's what I need so I can pull it out whenever necessary. A cute little girl (or two) with their hands clasped (like in prayer) in front of their chins, heads tilted a little to the side, looking up with sad, little puppy eyes as if saying "pretty please with sugar on top!"

I second that. These are beautiful pictures. I loved looking through her gallery. My BIL asked me where my scenery pictures were from our last trip since I take mostly family shots. I think I'll print one of all Bernadette's pictures and tell BIL that they are mine. :rotfl:

Any one know how to keep wasps away from your yard? They keep coming and I can't find anymore nests?

I had the pest guy out the other day and he got ride of 3 nests, but I keep seeing them flying around the back yard. The girls play so much outback, I don't want them to get stung.

Got it, I will get on of those for you a bit later.

Sony W7. I bought it before my trip last Aug. I already had a Sony so I wanted to stick with the same memory technology. I wanted something that fit in my pocket but still had a view finder. It is not a credit card size camera. They are coming out with a W70 and W100 so I've seen the W7 advertised for $250. It really is a great camera for something that fits in your pocket. I'm thinking someday I may want a digital SLR but I don't know if I want to be "burdened" with a big camera. My camera does occasionally have some trouble focusing but overall I'm very happy with it. One of the friends that I was traveling with told me I should leave my camera at home since I wouldn't be taking any photo of kids with characters. I said I couldn't wait to take even more photos when I don't have one eye on the view finder and one eye on the kids. I took over 600 photos on that 3 night trip. I just love that as long as you have enough memory the photos are "free". You definately get more keepers when you are not afraid to snap lots of shots. I also took some great video of the Grassroots at Disney (considering it was just on this pocket camera). When I saw the videos on my Mac at home I thought they looked better than what I saw in person. I don't know how to upload video yet.

I'd be happy to share full size images with anyone.

Paula,
Maybe you could do a photo with the girls holding a blank piece of paper and Deb could use a photo editeding software to put what she needs on the sign. :rotfl2:

Kristine, hope things get better soon. :wizard: :grouphug:

Deb, :wizard: for the doggy, sorry its gonna rain on your camping trip.

Ok, after all the talk about Zizzlingers yesterday, I had to see if I could find them. I went to one Walmart and found the superhero ones near the "value" toys. They were completely out of Princess ones. Next we went to Target and they had no superheros, but they did have 3 Princess ones. I bought them all up. We are going to use them as motivators for the kids to keep their rooms picked up, or some other chore that they despise. So, I won't be able to see them in action for a few days. Once they are "opened", I'll post which ones we got. Apparently they are very popular here, so you have to snap them up fast!

Anybody know if Zizzlinger's sell stock?? If so under what name? As I think I might have to go buy some of their stock if they do. Seeing as how they are so popular and the DDA is buying all of them. :teeth:

Well my P3 is over. I think it took me 3 hours to complete. Emma was upstairs reading and kept coming down. Eric got home early and now Molly climbed out of the crib again. Her ped recommended those nets that go on top of the crib to keep pets out. Don't know if I like the idea but I have to do something.

Well I will check in later. We are going to watch a movie as the weather here stinks as well.

Can you keep the side lower on the crib or perhaps remove the one side of the crib, so she can slowly transition to the toddler bed? What about a mattress on the floor? Or perhaps railings for the toddler bed so she still feels like she is in a crib?

What is it that causes her to not like beds? Do you know or is it just she freaks out for no reason?

Kristine, I have a clothing coloring question for you.
I am in need of a red dress for Ellie's school program and I have yet to find one but I have found a rather fabulous white counrty dress. If I was to change the original color from white to red..... how would I go about that? And please add in the saftey tips, I can't have red all over my body parts and the house.
