drawing a blank. I'm exhausted. Goodnight, all. I'm going to go sleep in Rees' bed to try to get him to settle down.

I hope you had a good night's sleep Denise. Tinker1bell has been keeping me up to date on what has been happening with Rees. I sure hope you get some answers soon and he's all better and as feeling great!!

Good Morning All,
Thought I would drop in and say hello before heading to work, if I could only figure out how to still get paid without going I could spend more time here.

I'll be checking out the School and Carnival supply store during my lunch break in hopes of finding some ideas for decorations for my daughter's reception.

Everyone have a good one,

Debbie :sunny:

I'm back on page 1852. I'll never catch up...

My sister is going to go to WDW with me. I was able to explain the concept of the word gift... :rolleyes1

The shirts look wonderful, Steffy. Sounds like you had a good time, but hectic. Don't worry about catching up, we will let you know if there was anything major to learn.

I am so happy that you were able to explain how important this trip is to you so that your sister has agreed to go with you. :sunny:

Hi Heidi! How are you doing??? :goodvibes

I actually have another ultrasound at 2:30 p.m. to check on the location of my placenta. At my last appointment, the doctor thought the situation had corrected itself since I haven't had any spotting, but I'm excited we get to have another ultrasound just to make sure.

Amy :)
Good luck today! Have you watched Gray's Anatomy yet?

Speaking of food: I tried a new recipe for pork chops tonight that was really easy and really yummy! Mmm, I love it when a new recipe actually tastes good enough for my kids to eat instead of pick at.

Oh, by the way, I was in Walmart today and what do I find in the ice cream section? The Mickey bars that Denise posted a while back. I grabbed a box, and the kids had them for dessert. Boy did they love them. They looked so cute, too! It was a fun reminder of DL even if the real Mickey bars look different. Thanks, Denise!
Recipe pretty please :)

I got off the plane, went to my nephew's house, went back to the airport and came home. No time to do anything. I didn't even get to a drugstore to buy a postcard!

Oh well. My leg is going to be in this cast for at least another month...

I made my great-nephew these onesies...

Thanks Kate! I got all of them from your gallery. He loved them!!

I'm not going to catch up. :surfweb: :surfweb: :wave2:

Ok...... so my humble opinions on the 2005 P&P......?

Hmm.... I'll try to be brief, but you can PM me if you'd like to discuss more, because I have a lot to say!

I did SUCH a good job of not comparing the actors (namely Matthew McFadyen to Colin Firth and Keira Knightley to Jennifer Ehle)..... just ask Kyle.

But the whole thing! In comparison to the novel! I think Jane Austen would be rolling in her grave, and I never use that cliche!

Elizabeth was a total wimp. Not at all a heroine. Darcy was actually quite good, although not as "tasty" (to quote Clare) as the REAL Mr. Darcy ;) Definitely the most true to character, though, by far. SO much of the rest of the movie was characters doing things they NEVER would have done in the novel. Mr. Wickham was practically skipped over, except Mr. Darcy's story about him and Georgiana. Not much thought given to his relationship with Lydia or Elizabeth's caring about him.

Practically NO time was given to the class distinction.... the title should have just been "Pride", and not really even much of that! :rotfl:

To top it off, ladies were wearing pants, Mr. Bingley was hanging out in Jane's bedroom....

It was a cute story, in and of itself, but oh my gosh --- it was NOT Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice .

(Like I said, I have more if you REALLY watt to know how I feel :rotfl:

Going to bed now. Tasty Dole Whips made tonight a MUCH better one... hope you all are doing well also!
It sounds like it's a good thing I haven't watched it.

I just got back from the gym. I am now up to two miles on the treadmill at 2.6 mph. I'm determined to be able to walk around Disney World easily this time! Last time I got a lot of pain in my back and hips by the end of the day. They also have a 30 minute circuit training unit, and I do this a couple of times a week, too (just the machines, though, as I'm doing the cardio and large muscle workout on the treadmill). Sometimes I do the recumbant bike. I like this gym because you can watch TV while you work out on the cardio machines. They have TVs set to certain channels and you plug in headphones and watch change the channels to the one of your choice. You can also listen to different music stations.

The board is slow again tonight.

:wave2: Hi and good luck!

I should have guessed that there would be a posting party last night with a milestone coming up!!

:sunny: :sunny: for good weather for everyone this weekend!
Robyn - Let me know about your parent's package by Friday.

Denise - Glad the dentist went good for Rees! My SIL with her triplets cried for a week when they went to Kindergarden. I talked to her later on, and she wanted more kids because "they arn't babies anymore" and "they are getting so big"!

Amy & Kevin - Love the new signature! I think it's fine Kevin!

Steffy - The onesies look great!

Marti - They are yours! PM me your address!

Mircle Whip for sandwiches, Mayo for egg salad or cooking...Mircle Whip just doesn't taste right with some things in my cookbook!

For everyone else - :cheer2: and :grouphug: and :teeth: and :wave2:

Oh Denise I feel that pain.. My "baby" will be starting kindergarten in the fall. Her orientation is May 25th. She gets to ride the bus around the school, visit her class, the gym, & the lunchroom. Its so hard to see her grow & need me less. I am happy for her & sad that her baby & preschool years are over...I will miss it.

My baby will start 2nd grade in the fall. That sounds soooo OLD. My first "baby" is finishing up his freshman year at high school, and dd has just one more year left before going to high school. I need another baby! (Don't let dh know that I said that...and I do know that it won't be happening.) I loved the preschool days.

Ok, I have a question regarding this. How many of you have both in your refrigerator?

The reason I ask is that I have to buy mayo and miracle whip. The mayo is for the egg salad that is my MIL's recipe and the miracle whip is for the potato salad that is my DM's recipe. We've tried both with the other and it just isn't the same. It's nice that Chuck & I both prefer his mom's egg salad and my mom's potato salad. At least I don't have to make two kinds of egg salad and two kinds of potato salad. I just have to always have mayo & miracle whip in the house.

We have only a jar of fat-free Kraft Mayo. We don't use it much. Just if I'm mixing up tuna for sandwiches (YUCK!) We'll have potato salad a couple of times during the summer. I don't really like mayo (except occasionally in things), and I've never even tried Miracle Whip.
