Kate, we got married at Manor House too!

Outside at 12:30 p.m. on the hottest day of the year: July 24, 1999 (yes, a Saturday)

Since it was lunchtime, we only served champagne punch...most people were interested in ice water though! :sunny:

My step-brother and annoying SIL got married there too in 2001...and Princeton HS just had their prom there last week.

Amy :)
That is so funny we never knew that!!!

Did you get married in the Gazebo?!!? It is so gorgeous! I wanted to get pictures there but not in the middle of the winter -

Can you believe some people are still going on about the new MS non spinning version?? Like there's something severely wrong with those of us who don't want to be spun around! Some people have way too much time on their hands and should go and do something constructive!

Sorry rant over... back to your usual scheduled programming...
That is absurd!!

why do they care? Are they worried the lines will be longer now?

Usually I fall into the I will still ride it category - but I am not really interested in finding out at WDW if one of my kids has a hidden heart condition - and we probably won't ride it with them - but now if they want to go we can go on the other part

and - to be truthful -I thought the ride was stupid anyway - I honestly found myself bored and ready to get off - it was very predictable and I just wasn't that impressed with it which really makes it not worth any risk for me

Morning...

my internet was down for 16 hours!!!!!!!! I was in total withdrawal...I had to spend hours talking to Bill!! :lmao: :lmao: He's just not as entertaining as you guys.. :teeth:

Anyway, no time to catch up. If I missed anything important...someone please let me know.

Kristine

I have trouble with motion sickness but was determined to ride MS at least once, the signs posted along the que made me nervous about getting sick but what really did me in were the "bags" on the console. I survived with only a mild case of queasiness, but I wasn't impressed enough to ride it again though. The whole family is anxious to give EE a try. :bounce:

 Welcome to the mad house!

I agree - I have a phobia about being sick - or being anywhere near anyone who is (even on TV) which is why I give MS a wide berth. I'm sure I could handle the tame version though and I'm intrigued to see what it's all about.

Kate - how is Nick today?

:badpc: Sorry! The administrator has specified that users can only post one message every 40 seconds. :badpc:

I didn't think it was all that great either. Dh became very ill on it and had a miserable couple of hours afterwards. I have been debating whether to let ds (will be 7 then) try it out in August. I think the non-spinning alternative is a great option!

I'm an aunt again!!!! Woohoo!!!!!! :cool1: My brother & his wife had their baby yesterday. He called me at 12:54 am and scared me to death. I don't like getting calls in the middle of the night!!!!!!

I found myself holding my breath when I asked girl or boy. Normally, it doesn't matter to me as long as the child is healthy. However, this was different. My brother is 43 years old. He is a Jr. and he is the only grandson to carry on the family last name - Dad had 12 brothers & sisters - his brothers either had no children or girls - there are 30+ grandchildren total and he is the only one to carry on the last name. When my dad died, my brother talked at the funeral about how important it was to him to have a son to carry on the name for my grandfather & father. That was more than 8 years ago. Well ...... there is now a great grandson to carry on the family name. Mom & baby are doing great. Yeah! Thank you God!!!! I lay awake for an hour saying thanks because it was so important to my brother.

Congratulations to you and your family! :goodvibes

Apparently it premieres here today - there's an episode on at 5pm so I might have to check it out!

Amy -- the pictures all look fantastic. I love the ones of Alyssa dancing, and the one where she is feeding Kevin! Too cute! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for the congratulations! I wish this was the end of the road, it would feel a bit better. :rotfl:

Matt's team - Team France - kicked the butts off the opponent today. Final score was 6-2

....oh you asked who they played??

Team ENGLAND :teeth:

Woo hoo! Leave it to the in-laws to save the day again!
:furious:

ETA: Actually, I should qualify. Leave it to me being a people pleaser, and my inlaws being pushy to save the day. :sad2:

Hi All! I'm back but still recovering....It was a great trip. The weather was perfect and I think I managed to pack some of that nice warm stuff and bring it home. It is stranage to be doing laundry today and see all the wintery clothes the kids were wearing when I was gone and it was in the 40's and rainy here.

I did lots of first on our trip-EE-it was a bit intense but great. I'm still not sure about Lizzie-I'm sure she'll love it but the Yeti does appear to be just about to grab you. Did SM for the first time and loved it. Did RnR for the 2nd time and was surprised that other than the start it is actually rather tame. I was terified the first time I did it. I've had to learn to be brave for Lizzie.

We did CS in Morocco and it was great. Did Boma for dinner and it was great. Had a rainbow margarita by Mexico-boy are those strong. Had a Curly Wurly from UK and Chik-fil-A at the airport.

The FLower Fest was awesome! I would definately go in May again. We had relatively low crowds. We were able to ride EE first when the park opened and then did Safari with little wait. We did fast pass a few rides but most rides had little wait (even when the sign outside would say 20 minutes).

We all really enjoyed POFQ. I think my DH will like it there when we go in August.

Thanks to Beth who did the Pooh design. I had all the Pooh characters sign a card "Can't wait to celebrate your birthday with you." I just need to make the T now. Thanks also to Kristen-I used your designs to make a Tigger card for Emma and Mickey card for Joe "Can't wait to see you in August.". I bought Emma a Pooh T and Joe a Test Track Mickey T. I also bought the Test Track Mickey for Joe and I have a Tigger from the Disney Store for Emma. I'll have to take photos and post them. I'm still uploading all my trip photos.

Vicky-did you get my email? It was so hard to take photos with the camera phone. It was so bright that you couldn't see the screen. I also send a post card via snail mail. Did you have any notes for me? :teeth:

After I do my laundry I think I'll start packing for my next trip. :cool1: I think the crowds will be a lot bigger. I've been reading about folks being offered an upgrade out of Pop to a 1 bedroom at SSR. I think they haven't offered it to me because I've got a AP discount on the room. I hope things aren't too crazy when I there with Lizzie or for the DDA trip. I'm also a bit worried about how hot it would be. It was 93 on Thursday. I would be happier with 87.

I've got laundry and house work to do. Hope everyone is doing OK.

Chanon-I've got your brochures. I'll go to the PO on Monday.

Denise-I never did make it to the PO before my trip but I WILL go on Monday.
