Well now, that just sounds delicious!

Kevin had a 4 hour meeting, so Alyssa and I ate dinner at LaRosas and went to Tri-County for a while. I got her two pairs of jeans at the Disney Store for $10 (originally $20 each!). They only had size 2 left. We had the playroom to ourselves. And don't worry Paul and Marti, since we ate dinner before the mall, I didn't eat Chick-fil-a!

I had it done the first time about 4 weeks ago and loved it... then it grew out... so I just had it done again and think it is a wee bit short I haven't washed it yet so hopefully it will look better then.

If I'm brave enough I'll get DH to take a picture tonight and post it

I can't believe that I am INSANELY jealous of a 12 year old

Not only did she get a lifetime pass to all 11 Disney parks worldwide, so did the rest of her family; mother, father, 5 sisters, 1 brother, and a baby on the way! All 10 of them have lifetime passes to all the parks.

I nipped the babysitting thing in the bud when I became a Den Leader 3 years ago. No boy is allowed to show up at a meeting without an Adult. I had a boy years ago that was actually dropped off at a public building for a meeting and told to find a ride home. She never even walked him in or spoke to anyone. The boy was 8. That was it and I layed down the law. We do have great involvement as long as all they have to do is show up.

That is scary! What if the meeting had been cancelled or moved, and she hadn't received the message. I still walk my 15 year old in to meetings, because I don't want him stranded. One of the reasons I quit leading Girl Scouts was because of the babysitting thing.

Had to brag on my boys. They both passed their first test tonight and got a yellow stripe on their white belts at Karate! And Davis had enough "High 5" awards to get a blue star for his uniform. Rees got his 5th award today, so he'll get to trade them in for the blue star next week. Proud mom moment! They are loving Karate so much.

Congrats to Davis and Rees!

Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers, and hugs. Today was mostly spent crying, but i had work for 5 hours, so the kids helped keep my mind of things.. Her mom told us that it was peaceful and now shes not in pain, so i have to keep remembering that when i get upset--i appreciate you letting me vent here!

Seems like bad news around here continues....we got a call that Bill's cousin died. She was only 59. She was a cancer survivor...during Easter she had a terrible head ache...she ended up at the ER. Turns out she had a blood clot. Things were looking up when we left for Vegas...but I guess took a terrible turn and she passed away tonight. I didn't know her very well, nevertheless, I feel very bad for the family. I think I am developing a death complex.
