Hey, the dog has yet to participate.

Please keep the stapler away from the dog. They don't like things stapled to their fur.

At least she doesn't have a pet turtle to staple things to.

Ok, I'm up for it. The song has to be done by Thursday so I have time to memorize it for Friday.

On second thought, there is NO WAY I would subject my friends to this reading material. Unless you are in desperate need of some sleep, that is. If you are, may I suggest "Collection Development for a New Century in the School Library Media Center" by W. Bernard Lukenbill?

:thumbsup2 :teeth: :rotfl:

That titles sounds very Harry Potterish to me. All of the book titles in Harry Potter have their own unique ring to them.

This bothered me when I had to do it in Junior high. My thought always was, What if you don't have biological parents to tell you about the day you were born. I guess you could write about when your parents got you but I know with ours it was specifics about being born. I guess this is what happens when you have several adopted friends some whom you have known since preschool. You tend to think beyond the teacher. :teeth:

I always had back-up plans for assignments like that. I'd like to think I thought beyond my students. :teeth:

No - I think we should all pull out our worst labor and delivery stories!!!

Seriously though - why do women do that?

Do what, change the subject, pull out the worst or just go for ODTT.

I was on bedrest in the hospital for 12 weeks and then had an emergency c-section and was in the ICU for 2 days. I hold the trump card. Oh, and I had triplets too!

Nite all. Wine kicked in.

Dearest Tag Fairy,

I would formally like to invite you to spend an evening with us here in the DDA TFZ. The evening will begin with pleasant greetings and postings of how the days of the DDA members have gone.

It shall then take a turn to who knows what (ODTT, or what ever else may pop up) this in turn will bring many a screen to have a drink sprayed all over it by an addict laughing hysterically.

A perfect evening filled with laughter, joy and friendship.

Please join us at your earliest convenience.

I'm just wondering why I'm having another one in 10 weeks when I vividly remember every bloody detail from Alyssa's birth!!!! :teeth:

Amy :)
Go upstairs and look at Alyssa sleeping in her crib - you'll have your answer!!

We had to do that. But we were supposed to interview our Mom and than write it ourselves. Perhaps she could question you and write it down herself.

Good point.

Alyssa's door is way too squeaky...we don't check on her during the sleeping hours (we do still have a baby monitor plugged in). I will give her lots of kisses when she wakes me up around 8:30 a.m. :goodvibes

Amy :)

The turtle left for the week, it only has a weekend pass. :rotfl:
Oh and when DH brings it home, it returns to it's shell after....... (this is a family forum people, what are you thinking)

Amy :)

You remember every bloody detail from Alyssa's birth because it was such a special occasion for you as you now have a beautiful little girl, who will be the big sister to Matthew. Because in the end it is all worth it.

Wait I need to stop typing as I have no experience in this department and don't want to have stuck my foot further down my mouth than humanly possible.

Actually - my DH was not adopted until age 8 - he says those things never bothered him and that the teacher always would help him with those assignments

he said that he hated when people walked around on eggshells with him b/c although it was different it was his normal and a part of who he was

he said that teachers couldn't just not ask about these sort of things - what were they supposed to do - ignore Mother's Day in his classes :confused3

and if he were asked to have his mother write a story about the day he was born - she would write a BEAUTIFUL story about how he came to live with them!!!!

Now she has really stooped below the belt as she is considering stapling things to the turtle after it returns to its shell. :sad2:

TMI and EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

8:30 a.m. ? What time do you put her to bed at night?

I get "The sun is shinning, birds are singing, it's between 6-6:30, get your self out of bebd mom".

Julia was a c-section and they still had to use forceps!!!! believe me -I know all about kids deciding they like your womb!!!

I must not have been a good hostess. All my kids couldn't wait to leave me! Katie was 2 weeks early. Jacob was 3 weeks early and the twins were 5 weeks early.

I think Glynis might have a hard time explaining ODTT to Katie :rotfl2: .

I like it hurt but a bit more expressive. It hurt like the dickens!!

You're right. ODTT might just blow her mind.

I'll probably have to come up with something more than "it hurt" though. It's a great beginning, though. Hmmm, it hurt, it hurt, it hurt, it hurt. Then I had the epidural and it didn't hurt anymore. Nice epidural, good epidural. I love the anesthesiologist!

The deal is, it sucks during the entire “GET OUT OF MY BODY” part, then, it’s like magic and you forget the pain, you have a beautiful baby.

I took AP Physics my senior year of high school. I had to ask my step-dad to help me with my very first homework assignment. Before he looked at my assignment, he starts telling this story about his hardest professor at Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon). We open my textbook. Guess who wrote it...same guy! I'll never forget his name: Hugh D. Young. Horrid, horrid man!!!!

Amy :)

Well, you could say he made a lasting impression on you, right?
