K. One assignment done. Thanks, Kate. I wonder what Katie will say when she reads it?

Ok, I'm up for it. The song has to be done by Thursday so I have time to memorize it for Friday.

On second thought, there is NO WAY I would subject my friends to this reading material. Unless you are in desperate need of some sleep, that is. If you are, may I suggest "Collection Development for a New Century in the School Library Media Center" by W. Bernard Lukenbill?

:thumbsup2 :teeth: :rotfl:

Lukenbill? Has he written any other textbooks? I swear I fell asleep(read) at least one of his other textbooks. :teeth:

Hey, give me a break! I'm working on it! I promise I am! It's not enough I have to do my own homework, I just got a note from Katie's teacher. She's having the kids write their autobiographies, however, she wants each mommy to write about the day the child was born. So now I have to do Katie's homework too.

I promise I'll get to the DL stuff. It's on my to do list for tomorrow!

Excuses excuses excuses. Some people (those who live in UT) always have some excuse.:teeth:

Today only, I will give you a 24 hour pass, then it is back to pounding the keyboard for you.:rotfl2:

I am only messing with you.

With a name like Lukenbill I'm sure he's written lots of dry dull boring stuff like textbooks.

Good Night ladies!! This once again has been a blast but I gotta get my beauty sleep so that I can go embarrass myself on the volleyball court tomorrow in the parents/teachers vs. students game!!

A 24 hour pass will do nicely, thank you very much! I will be pounding the keyboard come 0800 tomorrow morning. See, I won't even take the full 24 hours. How's that for good?

I enjoy your messing with me. Makes me feel like I belong.

Oooo, I hope the Tag Fairy doesn't see that!

That is it?

It hurt.

I couldn’t get Elizabeth to come out. I tried everything! Yes ODTT and everything! She was two weeks late! They had to give me a pit drip and force the girl out. And I ask myself why she is they way she is?

Ok, I'm caught up! Back to the books for me! I'll refresh after the next chapter (if I can keep my eyes open)

I think that all things should be taught in song - don't you remember everything you learned in a song?!?!?

Wouldn't school be way better if you just sang all day long -

Elin would love that!!

The one school I observed at and did a reading program with, had a teacher who had music cd's for every subject. All different types of music. Rap, classical, modern stuff, it ran the whole gamut. She had some for math, science, spelling, social studies, geography, etc, basically she had something for every subject. This was the regular classroom teacher who did this. I was very impressed as this was in a low economic school area. But I could see the kids using the songs to help them as they worked through math problems, spelling, etc.

The kids would learn the songs to help them learn the information. I thought it was a great idea.

I think Glynis might have a hard time explaining ODTT to Katie :rotfl2: .

I like it hurt but a bit more expressive. It hurt like the dickens!!

I took AP Physics my senior year of high school. I had to ask my step-dad to help me with my very first homework assignment. Before he looked at my assignment, he starts telling this story about his hardest professor at Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon). We open my textbook. Guess who wrote it...same guy! I'll never forget his name: Hugh D. Young. Horrid, horrid man!!!!

Do you have access to Kate’s hidden camera’ in my house?

As far as Mickey getting more than the girls get….

I don’t recall.

Now I bet if we made up a song for you - you would ACE your final!!!

I would actually do this to learn information or make up silly actions or other things. I definitely believe in the use of mnemonics. Although I felt really silly attempting to kind of act things out during my tests but it worked.

No - I think we should all pull out our worst labor and delivery stories!!!

Seriously though - why do women do that?

We had to do that. But we were supposed to interview our Mom and than write it ourselves. Perhaps she could question you and write it down herself.

This bothered me when I had to do it in Junior high. My thought always was, What if you don't have biological parents to tell you about the day you were born. I guess you could write about when your parents got you but I know with ours it was specifics about being born. I guess this is what happens when you have several adopted friends some whom you have known since preschool. You tend to think beyond the teacher. :teeth:
