The quickest way there is to walk....

Its about 1/2 mile at best, why bother with those buses?

What kind of post is that?!?!?

Julia wanted me to tell Uncle Paul

"Happy Birthday!!"

That was him trying to get 28,000 and you stole it right under from under him. The queen strikes again!

You got it Kate!

from Port orleans riverside. or from DTD.

I plan on talking to the leaders who worked with her this year to see what they have to say. Everything I can tell is she has done a great job. This year the Junior and senior high aged girls were together, but they ended the year with a huge troop so next year they will be split into junior and senior high age levels, whether or not I take the co-leader position.

From POR, its right around the corner from OKW. We always rent a car and drive everywhere, I'm on vacation and cannot be bothered waiting for a crowded bus JMHO

I got my laptop back - they had to replace the hard drive so I am going to go see if I can get all my software loaded - I lost disc 2 for photoimpact - so I am praying i find it soon!!

I gotta go to work now. I have tomorrow after 8am off so I can hopefully relax some more or attempt to get some stuff done. Have a great night everyone.

Thanks everybody for your good wishes and pixie dust. They're definitely helping a lot since today I really felt better and the pain is almost gone. I didn't even need pain reliever all day long. The kids are doing great and they are even being helpful. I'm just having some trouble with every-day activities, especially with DD 17 months, as far as changing diapers, bathing, combing, picking her up, etc., but DH has been great and is helping me a lot.

On the other hand, today it was a fun day since we celebrate in Mexico Children's Day, you know like Mother's Day? We went to our Club and they had a kid's party with all kinds of sport activities and games for them. They divide them according to their age, and each group rotates each activity. They gave them a t-shirt, candies and lunch was included too. They had a blast! This day you find special treats for kids at restaurants, stores, malls, etc. They also had a Children's Day party at school, but they had theirs last Friday. Preschool had games and activities like cookie decorating, necklace making, mask making, beauty saloon, hospital, etc., one in each classroom, and the kids were able to go from one classroom to the other to do all the activities. Elementary school went to the movies that day.

Denise: I'm glad Rees did good and I hope the doctor has good news. :wizard:

Kate: I hope Nick gets better and it all ends up to be "just a virus". Good luck with the test results.

Amy: I'm sorry that things didn't work out well this weekend. Sending you pixie dust. :wizard:

Happy Birthday to Paul and Alyssa!! party:

Monica

Where are you walking to get there? Is there a path or are you talking out on the main road?

I don't think I would make that walk with a little one in tow -

There is about 100 yards of grass off the road that I would walk on and that has got to be better than the 40 min bus ride with transfer at DTD with a little one in tow...

Another busy day is over!!! Happy Birthday to Skunka and Alyssa party: :bday: party:

Hunter only lasted 10 minutes last night on his backyard campout, Nick made it until 6 AM, then came in the house and went back to sleep in his nice warm bed. Chris toughed it out of course. Our temps got very cold here last night and we got a very heavy frost. Chris said when he unzipped the tent this morning snow fell in :rotfl:

We went to our Maple Orchard today to clean the lines. That is when we pump clean water up through the lines to clean them out. Each tap has to be closed off so that the water will move up the line. It takes forever and it is all up hill. I keep telling my brother that I am not a Mountain Goat and we shouldn't try to do it all in one day, but it is useless. Chris and I were both exhausted and our feet were killing us. The boys tried to help, but get bored easily. My wild child Colby was accidentally soaked by Hunter so we removed his shirt to get him to stop crying. Well, we all know that Colby is accident prone and while trying to keep up with Nick he tripped and fell onto a fallen tree. He got some good scratches on his arm, chest and cheek. He didn't want me to clean them up, but I had to get the dirt off. I cleaned them and covered them with antibiotic cream so I'm sure he will be fine. That kid manages to get hurt just walking through the woods. It is a good thing that he was my third son because if he was the first born he would have been an only child. Chris and I have said that for years. He is the one that is going to give us a run for our money :sad2:

When I got home from the Orchard I finished cleaning the camper and then sorted through all the info the kids brought home on Friday. They both have major projects done on May 26th. Looks like I will need to start budgeting their time.

Deb

Whew! I'm exhausted just reading this. Glad to hear that Colby is ok. Some kids are just like that, aren't they? Makes you glad that your others are not like that.

I took Nick to urgent care - and the doctor agreed that she thought he had a sinus infection so they did x-rays - she and I were both shocked that they were normal and he does not have a sinus infection -

so I have no answer on the headaches which concerns me that they might be migraines - the doctor said it could also be the fever

the fever was much lower today and he is sound asleep now - so I hope that maybe he is getting better

he did scream about his head once - but I am not sure he didn't hit it - so I will just keep an eye on it this week

the worst thing that happened to me the whole day was when the nurse popped her head in while I was waiting for the x-ray report and said to me "you need to call your husband" my world stopped - I couldn't breathe - all I could think was that they x-ray had shown something horrible - turned out I had called Steve to let him know what was going on and he returned the call to the front desk and asked to have me call him

I am sure she had no idea how she said it came across but it really scared me until I realized what she meant!

How very odd!! :confused3 I hope they aren't migraines. They are icky no good things and for a little one to have them is even worse. :guilty:

That would have scared the bejeebers out of me also!!

Hope answers come soone!!

Wow sounds like you all had a wonderful day! Glad to hear your finger is feeling a litttle better :goodvibes

As I have posted before I am not having the Brownie troop next year. At the sleepover on Friday night, I was approached with the "We have a job for you". One of the leaders has specifically requested you to be their co-leader next year because of the awesome job that you are doing.

The service unit director said I know you want to take a break but this person would really, really like you as their co-leader. I told them I would think about it. If I do it, it would definitely be on my terms with an up front understanding that I might leave at any moment. It would be with the junior high age level or Cadettes.

PLus I found out my session at the sleepover was the girls' favorite.

Whether or not I take the troop, it was nice to be noticed for doing a good job.
Becky

Becky how true is that!!

In the Mile Hi Service area there are only two Cadette troops....my oldest being in one of them!! With Cadettes you know they are in it because they want to be not because their parents wanted a babysitter.

So glad your session was so well received
