 everyone!! I hope that you all have had wonderful weekends! Terra and I took BIL to the train station this afternoon. We had a great time while he was here, though with his conference we didn't see him too much.
Unfortunately, I think that I was spoiled just enough with the adult conversation that the adjustment back to solitude is going to be a little tough. Dinner Friday and walking around the city a little yesterday morning was so nice because I actually got to talk about things other than Blue's latest clue, what Jojo learned today and the latest adventures in Terra's vast imagination. I guess that means that I really need to get a move on the job search in St. Louis so we can get back to my family before I completely lose it. I'm complaining, I know. It's really not that bad, just lonely at times.

Hope everyone is doing well!

BTW - Where the H-E-double-hockey-sticks is spring! Tomorrow makes it officially May and we're still dipping into the 30s some nights. I'm not liking it. If it is going to rain as much this week as "they" say it will it had better start warming up. I really don't want to be wet and cold on the way to work.

Glad you got to enjoy the visit with your BIL. And no need to complain about the lack of adult conversation.

We are also dipping into the 30's at night. Crazy weather.

Woohoo!!! My Dec. trip is booked! Chuck & I will be at Disney Dec. 1-5 at POR. We arrive about 1:00 pm on Friday and leave at 3:30pm on Tuesday. I'm calling to see if I can get MVMCP tickets for Dec. 4. I will be upgrading to AP's before the trip since we'll be going again in March (& hopefully Oct. 2007).

We will not be able to do DVC this year as I was hoping. I haven't given it up but I've started thinking about other places I want to visit so want to make sure we will continue to go to Disney several times a year before committing.

So now I need to research what else we want to do while we are there. We want to spend our time seeing the things that are special for the holidays. We probably won't ride many rides (except POTC since it was upgraded since we were there). So ... what are your favorite holiday things to see?

DVC will allow you to exchange thru RCI or II for 1000's of great resorts around the world, we have stayed in Hawaii, Portugal, Australia, Greece, Spain, Vegas etc etc thru exchanges

Glad her arm is not broken, but that sounds just as painful Hope she feels better soon :wizard:

We are home from Molly's dr appt. I can't believe that we are home within an hour of us leaving to get there. It is always a 2 or 3 hour ordeal. Anyway, apparently Molly dislocated her elbow but it popped back into place by itself. They said that it is common for kids her age.

Jen prayers for your friend :wizard:

Good morning. Rees is done with his test!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPPPEEEEEEEE!!!! He did great. He did reflux once I saw during the night. Overall, he only refluxed a few times that we witnessed. I am guessing the doctor will say that medication and diet for now to control it, and when and if the reflux breaks through that treatment, then we'll redo the Fundo. I'll get all the official results on Tuesday, and it still depends on the biopsy results and if he refluxed more than John and I saw.

Thanks for the prayers! He had milk for lunch and oatmeal (his faves!). Taking them to the movie later and getting a giant popcorn with butter. Yummy!
Denise -

I hope the tests will help take care of Rees

I can't decide

he is up and when Julia touched him this morning she said to me "HE ISN'T HOT ANYMORE!!" How hot must he have been that his 4 year old sister could tell the difference!

But the fever has been gone every morning and spiked in the afternoon

his eyes are still very dark and somewhat hollow - and he is pretty mopey -

I think I am going to take him to the doctor but I can't really make up my mind
I would take him as he might be worse at night. :wizard: :wizard: for Nick to feel better today

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all your posts and PMs regarding our open house today. I'm disappointed to report that nobody showed up though. I know our house has only been on the market for a week, but it's discouraging that we haven't had a single person walk through yet.

But at least the house is clean...it'll just take maintenance now, and hopefully not the back-breaking scrubbing Kevin and I have done for the past week. We're both exhausted and crabby.

Amy

Sorry you didn't get the turn out you were hoping for. But I am sure that will change. At least now the house is clean. Put your feet up for a while. You deserve it.

Amy - I am so sorry that no one showed up - I told Steve and he said - "it was a crappy day and not the kind of day anyone would be heading out to look at houses! So you should not be discouraged!!

DS came to ask if he could ride his bike so I said yes, a little later a neighbor from down the road drove him home, he fell off his bike and both knees are scraped and bleeding but he won't let us near him!!!
My kids don't like me to mess with them after a scrape either. Maybe cause they know I'm gonna spray it with bactine. :wizard: Hopefully he'll let you take a look at it soon to clean and disinfect it.

Have fun and enjoy, have you done the Western at all??

No -- first time for Western. We've done Eastern twice.

Same here  It rained all day yesterday & both ds had a baseball game. Garrett played in the rain & Rileys was cancelled. It has been raining all day today as well. So dreary, a firelace would be real nice. Enjoy the time with your parents!

What a disappointing week-end. Friday was so nice - sun shining and warmer weather. Saturday was overcast, windy & chilly. Today is starting out the same way. Bummer! One of those days I just want to stay home under the covers. Wish I had an indoor fireplace that I could snuggle in front of.

He showered and said it stung badly so hopefully that helped clean it - he is such a wimp when he gets hurt :lmao:

I am a bit tired today, if I could mainline some coffee I just might.

DH just left and the girls are a tad sad, so we are off to play in the back yard.

I did read all the posts, but I didn’t take notes this round. Sorry.

So PD and prayers to all who could use them.

Happy happy joy joy for all who have had good things happen.

I am off to find any thing with mega caffeine, it’s only 2:10 and the girls wont go to bed for another FIVE plus hours. Maybe I will use toothpicks to keep my eyes open.
:grouphug: Hope the kids cheer up and that you get some rest soon. Hopefully you didn't have to resort to toothpicks :scared1: Maybe you could staple your eyelids open. :teeth: :wizard: for the princesses missing their daddy and for the mommy missing her prince charming.
