The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 6

Well, I'm going to be a good girl and quickly pick up the messes from last night. I also need to organize cub scout stuff that I have put off while getting this party ready. I actually made a list of things to do last night and I think it will take me days to accomplish everything.

Anyone seen or tried these ones?

I'm not sure about the orange and that's all they have this month - I'm pretty sure last month they were blue. The look quite comfy... might have a look on my trip but wondered if anyone had actually tried them on and what they fitted like?

I haven't tried them on but saw them at our store. If someone else hasn't tried them on in the next couple of days, I'll run to our store (it is a block from the high school where I have to pick Becky up after track everyday) and try them on.

I am speechless... plus I don't have any lime green shirts, and apparently neither does Kevin...

Actually Paul, she is very serious (if you didn't believe her anyway ) ;)

Julia went from the backyard to the front door once, and rang the doorbell because it was locked. You should have seen Amy take off thinking you might have made it! :teeth:

John and I are thinking about trying Nurti System. Anyone use it? We both would like to lose around 20 pounds.

I did it for a month, and it's really convenient.... but WAY too expensive for me right now! It does work, though! Elin has used it faithfully, and we've heard her results! :cheer2:

Okay, everyone else has shared their Easter photo. Here is mine (plus a few others):

Here is Eloise, my Build a Bear Workshop bunny. Since Vicki has her Pal Mickey, I feel comfortable sharing Eloise with you without you thinking I'm nuts for having her. My mom got her for me since I travel so much for work so that I'd have someone from home with me in the hotel room. Here she is in her Easter dress and tiara from the new WDW Bibidi Bobidi Boo-tique along with her friend Meadow the lamb, also in her Easter dress.

Because every good DD should have one, here she is in her princess dress:

Here she is in the crocs I bought for her on Friday, which was opening day at the new store in Northpark:

Here is a close up shot of Eloise's crocs:

It's the best of both worlds for me. I get a little girl to dress, without worrying about babysitters or saving for college.

Next up: making a few t-shirts for her.

Jennifer

They are adorable. I love the Easter dresses. I want them to come out with a Pal Minnie so I have a little girl to dress. There are soooooo many cute girl outfits and I don't think Pal Mickey would be happy wearing them! :rotfl2:

Oh, and please keep him in your prayers tomorrow around 2-3pm. We have to go to the hospital for his pre-op admission, blood work, etc. He is already worried, and I know it's going to bother him.

Thanks!

Absolutely -- consider it done! :wizard:

I am the Stealth DDA poster! Several of us use the Invisible Mode. When we had our green light on, we'd get bombarded with PM requests for designs. This way, it keeps it down some. Plus, then we can POUNCE and nobody is expecting it!

And when Denise says pounce, she really means take stealth milestones! ;)

I will be praying for Rees tomorrow

since Nick has a dairy allergy he can't have the mickey bars and he LOVES the itzakadoozies!!

Poor little guy must have asked me 100 times today - go Disney World today?

thank goodness we are going to DL in the fall - he would never last until May!!!

Ohh, and I'm going to tell you a story that Kate said would make her family look nuts. Instead, we thought it was the cutest thing in the world, and that we expected nothing less from the DDA kids! ;)

Nick came running up to the table while Kate was eating. He was really excited because he heard (saw?) fireworks and told her 'fireworks! disney world!' Even the young ones make the little connections all the time... like Rees' airplanes and Deb's bus smell (and all the other ones we're remembering now!)!! :p

ETA: Can I stow away with some of you going soon? :guilty:

:rotfl:

Ok... I was SO incredibly tired all night. No second wind, no "some hours are better than others" stuff, just plain exhausted.
Now I'm wide awake :furious:
Going to go read or something to see if I can take a nap.

Amy -- enjoy Chick-Fil-A

Have a good day! :goodvibes

I haven't, but a good friend of mine bought them in every color -- she wears a pair every day!

She is darling! I didn't know they were going to have a store at NP. Good to know!

Does anyone know how fast do you have to buy them before they sell out. I know at DL last year they sold out of their's pretty quickly. Not sure about WDW.?.

I just started catching up from last night so someone may have already answered, but you have plenty of time. Nights won't start selling out until mid to last summer probably and then those will be mostly weekend dates and those close to Halloween/Christmas. I think DL's is so limited in the number of nights that it goes faster.

Someone asked for photos of DBF's and my spring break WDW and DCLx2 trip in late March/early April. Here are a few of us on pirate night. We bought the shirts in St. Augustine, FL last Fourth of July. Berry's is Pirate Dog and mine is Salty Dog (they say that on the front).

Here is Berry:

and here:

Here is me (not my best angle):

And here is a self-photo of us (thank goodness for Berry's super long "monkey arms.")

P3310137.jpg

Also, here are the ribbons we won and the trophy I won in Mr. Toad's Jumping Contest onboard. The contest consists of trying to get your wooden toad across the finish line before your opponent's. My toad was Rosa and his was Pig. Don't ask.

All the other photos are from the boat, which we adore. If we ever win the lotto, we are moving into one of the suites and never moving out.

Jennifer

Very cute pictures of both of you! I need to get to working on our clothes for pirate night!

The Party is over!!! :teeth: It was very nice. I really had no idea how many people would show up, but the invitation went out to about 60 people. The weather was rainy here today. We had about 30 people actually show up and a few people called with unexpected company or sickness issues so they couldn't come. The cakes were a huge success and There is one entire uncut chocolate cake leftover which I can bring to the restaurant tomorrow night which means I don't have to bake tomorrow :teeth: I will also bring the topper of the large cake as a centerpiece. I am so happy that it is over, but glad that I did it. Everyone thanked me for throwing the party and my mother even called when she got home to thank me again. Nick appointed himself videographer and interviewed everyone there individually with questions like "So how do you think their relationship is doing?" It was funny to hear the responses and even funnier to hear the comments he was making. I'm sure my parents will enjoy their DVD.

Thank you sooo much for all the nice comments about the cakes. I must give the florist thanks as the flowers ended up looking lovely even though I had my misgivings. I'm certainly glad that they worked with me on the changes.

Tomorrow I need to sew some items for the travelin' Mickeys.

Deb

I am glad to hear that it was such a success. Nick's video sounds reall cute and I know your parents will love it. Congratulations on a great job!

It's just the ears. The kids LOVED them. They have white faces with chocolate eyes and mouth. The ice cream was soft. Is the entire thing chocolate at WDW? I thought the one we got was just the ears, but I honestly don't remember. Regardless, the kids were in heaven! And then BK informed us she was eating a lot of those when we go in September! Rees of course said he was eating lots of Itsadoozies (sp?). Those are his fave.

They used to make these when I was a kid. My mom would buy them for us as a treat sometimes and it was great! See maybe it was their fault for my WDW obsession. My dad once told Phil "I don't know where she gets it. We went a couple of times when they were kids, but that's it." when he called at we were at Disneyland for a few hours (when we lived in CA).

I am sure that you can pull it out as I know you can remove the seat cover For Terra I have unhooked the harness part and it just hangs in the back. We do use the lapbelt as she has a tendency to just decide to get out of the stroller while we're walking. That was almost a VERY pretty sidewalk burn one day, but luckily she caught herself. Unfortunately, she didn't learn her lesson and still tries if not buckled if there's not a tray in front of her.

Ok. The first official DDA logo was created by Kate on 9/9/2005 but the logo isn't on the page so I can't show it to you.

Okay - I had to do it -

we need an official DDA logo and I thought a tie dyed sparkly would be perfect - what do you all think?

ETA: I found this in someone's signature. Is this the first one. It looks like what Kate described.
