Denise - I just had Phil check our Mac and he said that the straps are not sewn in. They are threaded through holes in the seat fabric. You should be able to just pull the straps back and let them hang down if nothing else. I am going to do just that when I get home. If I run into any snags, I'll let you know.

Hi, Jo. Good luck with the move.

Tia, glad to hear that Phil is seeing a doctor he likes. He's in my prayers as is Grandma Ruth.

Headed to bed. I won't be on until late tomorrow afternoon when we get home from the hospital. Have a good one, y'all!

Thanks Denise and everyone for the prayers! I talked to my grandma on Saturday and everything went well. The pain from her back was gone already. She said that she was feeling pretty well, but hadn't expected the surgery effects to be so bad. I think that she expected it to be not much more than a few shots, but it was a little more than that. She did however go home on Saturday. My other grandma said this morning that she visited Meme on Sunday and she was doing fine. She will be back teaching early this week.

Denise's Christmas obsession is getting stronger daily. The funny thing is it is only 9/11/2005. She still has over 3 months to Christmas. Her candy cane name is no longer there but I can imagine it!!!!

Triplefigs said:
Hey, look at my new glitter name! Now I have what J&N's mom made me and Candy Cane name too! Woo hoo!

All together now singing! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.... on the DDA board...

ETA: Here is one from 9/12/2005 after someone posted a Christmas design request.

Triplefigs said:
Ok, everyone back away from Photoshop... I call DIBS cause it's Christmas! :rotfl: (kidding of course) But I will work on one for you.

Quoting myself here. In the picture, you can see how Rees' legs are too long for our old single stroller. Is he going to have the same problem with the Mac? I don't want him uncomfortable. He is 45" tall, but only 40 pounds. Do I need to look at the Special Needs Mac stroller instead?

It looks like the foot rest for the Mac is a little lower than on your stroller, but then it may be because the seat is lower too. When I get home, I'll measure the distance from the seat to the foot rest so that you can compare with yours.

Early September 2005 has everyone going through a sparkly signature phase. At Denise's request for a Diet Coke Addict logo, Clare creates this:

I can't believe how many pages appeared this weekend - my router had a funny fit and blocked the dis - but let me surf the rest of the net! I thought all our great designs had made the forum fall over! If it weren't for the fact that my DH2B is not technical I would swear he tampered with my pc to keep me form being glued to this site 24/7! :rotfl:

I have a question?

A Disney Design Addict.

Means we are addicted to this thread.
Or designing.

I'm asking because.

My shirts are all done.
Even my neighbors that I helped her with.

I still have breakfast every morning while reading this thread.
After work as soon as I can, I'm back reading this thread.

Yes we will be @ WDW 14 days.
I really don't need to change 2x a day.
Had to UPS my DD shirts, no room in luggage.
So that's it I can't do any more shirts.
I already did the Halloween bag.
Even made a design for my DS Halloween costume.

Is this crazy feels like home here.

Shouldn't I be more excited about my trip in a week? I'm feeling guilty for leaving the kids & DH at home. I've told them (uh... the kids) that I'm going on a business trip in FL and that if they are good I could get them a surprise at the airport. I haven't told Joe or Emma that I'm taking Lizzie on 5/19. I know Lizzie will have a great birthday trip and Joe did have a solo trip last Aug (and will likely have one in Oct) but I just know that Joe will be heartbroken. I think he's my real Disney fanatic-he loves TTA and CoP. He told me a few weeks ago "Mom I've never been to Disney when I'm 5 so I want to go tomorrow." I think I might make a count down chain for him for our Aug trip before I tell him about Lizzie's trip. But maybe a chain 100 links long would make it worse???? He's also been have some middle child problems lately too. I know he feel neglected-Lizzie needs attention after school with homework and Emma like being a baby. My poor little sensitive guy.

I think I'm also not too excited because I've got a lot to do to get ready-pack, make a shirt & card for Lizzie for the Pooh characters to sign, get stuff ready for DH and lots of work too. I want to make more autograph cards for my trip with Lizzie so I should probably do that before I go too.

Well I guess I better get to bed so I can face all that work.

I think the chain for Joe is a great idea! At 6yo we started my sister's chain at 100 days and it wasn't too much for her. Plus, I think that something concrete for him to have representing a trip for him later in the year would go a long way to help him get past Lizzie's trip. Maybe you could also take him out for something special locally (even just ice cream or something) to spend a little extra time with him before or after Lizzie's trip.

Enjoy your mommy time! That will be a nice time for you and your friend (or was it friends?). You'll have a great time in the end!

Someone asked for photos of DBF's and my spring break WDW and DCLx2 trip in late March/early April. Here are a few of us on pirate night. We bought the shirts in St. Augustine, FL last Fourth of July. Berry's is Pirate Dog and mine is Salty Dog (they say that on the front).

Here is Berry:

and here:

Here is me (not my best angle):

And here is a self-photo of us (thank goodness for Berry's super long "monkey arms.")

Also, here are the ribbons we won and the trophy I won in Mr. Toad's Jumping Contest onboard. The contest consists of trying to get your wooden toad across the finish line before your opponent's. My toad was Rosa and his was Pig. Don't ask.

All the other photos are from the boat, which we adore. If we ever win the lotto, we are moving into one of the suites and never moving out.

Jennifer

It looks like you had a great time. You two are so cute too! Terra and I are making pirate hats (well, the striped bandanas) for our next ride on PoC - her request after I was wearing a bandana the other day and she called me a pirate. I am tempted to try to add mouse ears myself or to just wait and buy the ones like you guys have.

Anyone seen or tried these ones?

I'm not sure about the orange and that's all they have this month - I'm pretty sure last month they were blue. The look quite comfy... might have a look on my trip but wondered if anyone had actually tried them on and what they fitted like?

We saw those in store and my oldest wouldn't go near them with a ten foot pole.....they both decided their little toes would pop out the side!! I thought they were kind of cute and plan on trying them on this weekend when we go shoe shopping!!

I had over 200 posts to catch up on?!?! :surfweb: Really, it only took me 40 minutes to catch up!

Cincinnatians - How in the world have you trained your men to wear polos?! I've tried SO HARD to get Bob out of t-shirts! :confused3

Phil too! It is either T-shirts or if he is going to the doctor or dinner, a button down (almost always white) shirt. I wear the polos his family got him for his birthday and we didn't get returned while near a Nordstroms.

When I got overly excited about a milestone and miscounted by a 100, someone told me I'd find proof that someone else had done this on the monster thread. Here it is:

OMG!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

I have seriously lost it - why did I think 6000 came after 5599?

Jo has a big milestone this upcoming birthday.

Kate, how many times will you have been at Disney before the cruise??

Julia & Nicks Mom said:
this is my last trip until my in-laws take us on a cruise in May of 2007 -

but DH can't stand waiting that long for Everest - so...

today I threw out that if they offer free dining next year would he want to go - and I did not get a NO!!! (in my book - that's as good as a yes!!)

This makes me believe there is hope for me. Chuck was just talking to me last night about whether I have our December trip scheduled. I'm reconsidering DVC at this time. After listening to everyone with their non-Disney trip plans, I realize there are a lot of places that I still want to go. I know - blasphemy!!!! That doesn't mean I don't want to go to Disney AT LEAST once a year. However, I'm thinking that I want to wait a little longer before making the decision on DVC. We will still be going to Disney for Christmas and again in March 2007 in the next year. Of course, Chuck doesn't know that as I'm thinking about the non-Disney trips, they all include visiting with my Disney (DDA) friends.
