Hi Everybody;

Sorry I wasn't around at all yesterday, I can't even begin to catch up but I did skim a few pages, looks like I missed a lot of fun!!!! I was on a cleaning rampage yesterday, and I tackled the basement, I got SO much done!!! I am going to work down there today too, and hopefully it will be done by the end of the weekend!!!! I literally worked down there for over 12 hours straight, everything is organized and neat. I have SO much for my garage sale, Now starts the part I am dreading the most, putting the prices on everything!!!!

I am feeling tons better, I guess it was some kind of upper respiratory infection or something because I lost the sore throat and it went into my chest and head. Thanks for all of the get well wishes they definitely worked!!!!

Cody came home yesterday, his incision looks nasty!!!! He is shaved all over, and I have a hard time looking at his incision. He needs a lot of extra care, we can't take him outside except on a leash until his sutures are removed on the 1st, he has lots of meds. to take. I'll spare you the rest of the gory details but I think we will have our hands full w/ him for the next few weeks, but it is worth it to have him home!!! All I heard every time I called to check on him or I talked to the vet was what a wonderful sweet dog he is, they had a hard time sending him home!!!

We got the biopsy report back on Friday too. It was malignant & it was a mass cell tumor. The vet said that he thinks he got all of the tumor. They rank the tumors on a scale of 1-3, 1 being the best, 3 being the worst. Cody's was a 1, he has a 90% chance of this never coming back again, but he said that if it does come back it is almost always fatal. It come back in the lungs, kidneys, etc. He said we would know it was back because he would just get really sick really quickly. Hopefully we will never have to worry about this!!!!

Thanks again for all of your kind words and prayers!!! I know that they helped tremendously!!!! You guys are the absolute best, and whenever any of you need prayers, I immediately put these onto my list to remember your requests too!!!

My friend still hasn't called, I guess she knows I'm p***** at her, we usually talk on a daily basis+. I am kind of dreading Monday, because I know I will see her at school, Oh Well!!! I am just SO non-confrontational, I hate to fight w/anyone, but this has been bubbling under the surface for a while now and I know I need to get it off of my chest!!!!

If you need to hear anymore about what a people pleaser/sucker I am ask Amy & Kate what I did at the Children's Museum at lunchtime!!!

We are all looking forward to our night at Kate's, the kids are SO excited!!!!

Thanks Again!!! Hope you all have a great weekend!!!!

Julie :goodvibes

That is great news about the dog!!! :wizard: For a speedy recovery!!

Hey Question for you all!

I am having major printing probs on my photoprinter (HP Photosmart 7550). I can still print photos fine, but when I try to print on paper (which I have done dozens of times before) anything that it is black comes out all streaky. (i.e. if I print Mickey Mouse, all of the colors are fine, except black) My black ink is 80% full (the others are 60%), I have done the clean mode on the printer more times than I can count and when I print in greyscale, everything is fine :confused3

Anyone else ever had this happen??

I'm giving this silly ticker one more day to return my pumpkin, and then I'm going to reset it. WEIRD!

WARNING... almost no one else has been on here for the past few hours so I have been posting and posting and posting. Please ignore if you are in a hurry! :rotfl:

Tammi --

Not certain why, but I can see just the smallest sliver of the pumpkin this afternoon.

I just got home and am trying to get caught up. Should I stop or will I miss something important if I don't read ALL the pages???

I just read them all, mostly 3 mystery posters trying to fool us while everyone guesses who they are. Paul was around for a while but I think everyone was off watching High School Musical.

Glad you're back safe - how did it go?

Sorry to be obsessing over this. Here's the rough draft:

Wed. - Flight gets in at 5:30, check in, head to Epcot, Eat Around the World, catch Illuminations

Thurs - Sleep in, pool, over to MGM for PrimeTime lunch, MNSSHP

Fri - MGM late AM, MM for FDP

Sat - AK, Akershus for dinner

Sun - check out, Cape May for BF (Char. meal, I know, but we gotta have one)

Here's my one problem. How am I going to fit Soarin' into all of this? It is one of Alyssa's 'must do's'. Both Wed and Sat, by the time we would get there, FPs would be gone.

Friday night is EMH night time at Epcot. Soarin' was open last year with almost no waits.... might work?

Very strange. Have you changed out the black? What about getting a cleaning sheet to run through the printer? Other than that have no idea. Sorry.

It went surprisingly well. The horrible rainy weather they were predicting held off until 8:00 last night which allowed us to go to the cemetery. That was important to my broghter and sister and me since we had not been able to do that when my Dad died. (It snowed 37 inches the day he died and it continued to snow for the next 3 months. It was horrible.)

We got to see old friends and people from the neighborhood where we grew up. Most of the adults from that time are gone, but the few who are left came, as well as relatives we had not seen in years. A dear friend from Fredericksburg drove up for the funeral and then back home. I was stunned as it is a good 6 hour trip!

Most importantly, my siblings and I got to reconnect and it was terrific. It has been 6 years since we were all together and we had so much fun last night when we went out to dinner. We laughed and cried and had a little too much to drink and it was wonderful.

Again, the love I have received from all the DDA friends has been such a comfort to me. Thanks to all of you one more time.

Elin,

Good to see you back safe. It is so sad that families from far away seem only to get together for weddings and funerals. But you just want to hold on and on and not have the time go fast.

It took me a while to make my gif and I might have gone overboard - so we will see if it works - thanks for the reminder Jen!!

I really don't think I could ever find the right words to post right now - just sitting here thinking of how you all have enriched my life in the past year has me in tears. I never imagined I would meet the most wonderful people in the world on the internet. Everyone of you is so important in my life and you are all a constant!! I feel lucky that I have met so many of you and that I am on my way to meeting more of you- I would love to eventually meet all of you!

Thank you all for being the best friends a girl could ever ask for!!

I love you all!!

Kate

Kate --

I am so sorry that I missed this HUGE milestone. I agree 100% with all you said. Who said people couldn't form close relationships over the internet?!?! :goodvibes

Ok, this just reminded me of a funny story. When Alan and I were first married, for Christmas that year we didn't have a lot of money, and I wanted my present to him to be something special and meaningful. His favorite movie of all time is the Sound of Music. So I bought the VHS copy, wrapped it up beautifully and displayed it under the tree. Fast forward to Christmas morning. He opens my present and begins to laugh hysterically. Handing me my present, he tells me to open it. I do, and what do I find? The exact same VHS copy of the Sound of Music. We had a good laugh about that, and it became the family joke for all my siblings.

Well, a couple of years ago, DH opened my Christmas present to him and finds the DVD copy of the Sound of Music. He screams, "NO, NO, NO." I just look at him and shake my head. "You didn't." I say. He begins to laugh. I open my present and find yet another copy of the Sound of Music on DVD.

Sounds like an O. Henry short story :goodvibes

Oh I really think you need to read ALL of the pages. Then the whole pumpkin thing will make sense.

I hope all went as well as can be expected for you this weekend.
