We were there mid-May two years ago, and during the week the crowds were low. Weekends were very crowded. The flowers at Epcot were beautiful!

We were there in mid-May 2 years ago, too! May 10th-19th, I believe. I know that we left on the 19th for sure, because that is the day after my birthday.

Thanks, DDA Family for all your prayers. I just talked to my cousin, and Aunt Dot did well during the surgery. Her artery was 95% blocked. She's in ICU, and we can go in briefly to say hello tonight. If all goes well, she will be home tomorrow night or Sunday. Continued prayers for a full recovery are appreciated!

Y'all are the best!

Thanks for the update! I'll keep Aunt Dot in my prayers.

HELP!

Hey.... hopefully someone can help soon :)

Anyone care to share their experience with crowd levels in the Spring? I went in March but it was like 100 years ago so I don't really remember. Here's what we're looking at (and we have to send this request in ... 2 days ago  )

March - June
- I know that Easter is April 8th, so probably the entire month is out, except maybe the last few days
- June is out, because we honeymooned during that time and it's freakin miserable in the Florida sun :)

- so mostly, what do you think about March and May? And maybe April, if I'm not thinking correctly.

Thanks!
Our first trip was in May during the Flower and Garden festival. Of course, it was 3 years ago. I do remember crowds weren't that bad. The topiaries and flowers were gorgeous. I kept snapping pics. of the topiaries they were so cute. But, we had a huge heatwave when we were there. At the rides they were announcing how much water people should be drinking per hour and listing symptoms for dehydration etc. They were selling out of those water fans everywhere. Of course, it could have been unusual weather for that time. (Insert shrugging smilie)

Jennifer--I forgot to mention that our school district will most likely have Spring Break the third week of April next year. I think that there are other NYS districts that have the same week of April off.

Anyone know if the DVD of HSM will have the dance sequence, or do I need to find somebody with a DVD recorder ASAP to make me a copy of it tonight? And, yes, I still haven't seen it! I plan on watching it with the kids this weekend.

I went a few years ago the last week in April/May. Lines where great, all less than 30 minutes. Topiaries were neat to see. Our only heat wave was our last day and at AK. Drink lots of water. You can kind of tell the best time to go when Disney goes back to there "regular schedule" meaning AK is open 9a-5p and MK is only open until 8pm. :)
Please don't go in March or anytime up until the week after April :) Airfare will be outragous unless you book now, and it's really, really, really crowded. (This year Disney ran out of Value resorts at AAA rate.)

My DD taped HSM when it first came on tv a few weeks ago. We must have seen it at least 10 times!

I have to say the songs are very catchy..."together, together, together, everyone"...can't get that one outta my head.

I love HSM because of all the singing & dancing but it helps that it has a major theme of basketball. In high school and college, that was my passion. I'm hoping that I will have more time for it now that the kids are older. I also connect with it because there were two sides to me in high school. I was the star athlete as well as the class salutatorian. Luckily, I went to a very small school so it was easy to fit in. Otherwise, I'd have had some of the same troubles that Gabrielle and Troy are dealing with. It's sad that you are pigeon holed in a certain role in school.

Ok.... so did you know that the people who do the VOICES of Mickey and Minnie are married? :)

I just listened to a program called "Mickey and Minnie tell All", and it talks about this. And it gave one of the reasons that they don't make them (the mice, not the humans) get married in public.... they did a survey, and found that most people that responded view them as their own age -- especially kids. So if that's the case, and then they got married, they would ruin the illusion becuase they would suddenly be adults.

Interesting :goodvibes

So now after all this they are NOT married :teeth: :teeth: :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks everyone for your prayers! From what I have heard the procedure is fairly simple, but I think Meme is a little concerned because it just sounds so odd. When the PT said they would inject "concrete", I think that it threw her for a little while. Now, she can't seem to get past that part. She should be back at home and good as new as early as tomorrow so that is good! I just told her that this had to be better and faster than the time she broke both wrists within 4 weeks of each other. Not fun for a woman who lives alone!

ETA:
Hey, 24,000! How did I do that?!?! I'm never around for a milestone!

YEAH!!!! :cheer2:  :cheer2: (Sorry guys, that's the closest to designing that you get from me! :teeth: )

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

congrats on the 24,000 :Pinkbounc

Well I went looking for my schedule again today. Couldn't find it. Today was garbage day for the road, so I'm hoping it got thrown away. As a safety measure, we canceled our joint checking account just in case I left a deposit slip in there. It was time for a new bank anyways, something that has been needed to be done for a while. So I'm making lemonade out of the situation!

Kate - I'm Tivo'ing High School Musical to see what the fuss is about. Send me the quiz.

Bob's watching the White Sox game in the Man Room. (AKA basement.)

Robyn - You never called! :) Hopefully I'll hear from you next week.

I'm thankful it's the weekend. I think I'm gonna make some mini cheesecakes tomorrow and clean the junk room. (Yep, junk ROOM.)

So if Mickey and Minnie arn't married, why are there all the cake toppers out there with Mickey and Minnie?

Has anyone heard of Hungry Howies Pizza? I've fallen in love with their crust. Or how about CiCi's Pizza? They are a pizza buffet. Last time we were there they had mac and cheese pizza.

Ok...I'll quit rambling now and start watching HSM. From the sounds of everyone's responses about the quiz, it looks like I'm gonna have to really pay attention.
