Good morning all....

All my kids have been sick for the last 3 days...thank god all of them went back to school today....of course none of them wanted to go!

Well, I bought a new laptop...I already can't figure something out...and I am waiting for the Geek Squad to arrive.

Kate...did you get my PM about shirts?

Tammi...Sorry about your friend...very sad.

Kristine

Yay! Kristine is back! Does this mean your "blues" are gone?

Before I head to bed, I am hoping that you can spare some prayers and pixie dust for my grandma (Ruth) tomorrow morning. She recently joined Curves. Two weeks ago Saturday she was doing her workout and did something to hurt her back. Thinking it was just strain she took it easy for a week. When it was still sore that Thursday she went to the doctor who sent her to physical therapy. The pt listened to her complaint and said "you know that sounds just like a woman who was here the other day and she actually had a fractured compressed vertebrae. Soo...they do xrays and my grandma has not one, but TWO fractured compressed vertebrae.

So tomorrow morning she is having a procedure done to help the extreme pain she is in. They will insert a needle between the vertebrea and insert a little balloon. The balloon inflates to put the vertebrea back in line and then they inject a concrete like substance that will keep them in place. She has been told that the pain is better almost immediately which should be good.

In addition to this one time, I am concerned about what this all means for the state of her osteoperosis. This is the simplest event that has ended up with a broken bone for her so it doesn't sound good. It is about the 6th broken bone she has had in the last few years.

Thanks all!! :grouphug:

Hope all goes well with your grandma

Hot, but not July hot... not too crowded as most people won't take their kids out of school with only a week left until summer break

I did!!! 2 years ago.Erich missed 2 days, about 2 weeks before summer break, because we had a chance for free tickets to IOA and of course we HAD to spend a day at Epcot while we were in the area!!! :rolleyes1 :teeth:

Marci...what cutie pies!

Well I think I caught up...did anyone ever tell y'all talk too much!!!! :p :lmao:

Okay - here is a chance for you all to help us decide - this design is going on a red shirt and needs a border - which one do you like?

the ears will be on the back - I think the last one is my favorite - but what does everyone else think? (note: those who will actually be wearing the shirt will have a higher weight in the decision)

I think I will have to make this line blue or black - I forgot about the red shirt!!

I like the first border or the last border best. They are all darling, though. You guys are gonna have a great time!

Hi!

DBF and I are big Disney Channel fans (though we don't have cable, so we watch it on vacation or at my parents' house) and I'm a big fan of musicals.

Should we troup over to my dad's tonight to watch the High School Musical movie on Disney Channel tonight? I've been reading online what a phenomenon it is -- so many songs going to #1 in one week, winning ratings the first and second time it aired, etc.

Thanks!

Jennifer

It's so darling! My daughter, husband and I have a date to watch it tonight. I also plan on recording it so she can watch it over and over until the actual DVD is released in May. She already has the CD memorized, and has been practicing the dances in anticipation of tonight.

Anyone know if the DVD of HSM will have the dance sequence, or do I need to find somebody with a DVD recorder ASAP to make me a copy of it tonight? And, yes, I still haven't seen it! I plan on watching it with the kids this weekend.

Rees' tests are next Friday. We have to be at the hospital at 7:30 am. He goes Monday for his pre-op appt with the Anesthesiologist. I don't think I'm going to be around as much the next week or so. I really need some time to try to recharge. I'm having a tough time with all this and I can't take it out on my family. I'll try to pop in and say hi, and I'll keep you updated on Rees.

Hugs to you all.

:grouphug: to you, your family, and Rees. I'll keep you all in my prayers this week and especially on Friday! Stay strong, and don't worry about us! We'll be here when you get back!

The DVD is supposed to have both the sing along and dance sequences on it so you will have it all next month.

I haven't seen it either...I set the dvr for tonight

I guess I should have clarified. You know, when I typed it out, I didn't even realize what I was doing. Talk about subliminal....

Glad you're feeling better, and even more glad that you're back posting.

HELP!

Hey.... hopefully someone can help soon :)

Anyone care to share their experience with crowd levels in the Spring? I went in March but it was like 100 years ago so I don't really remember. Here's what we're looking at (and we have to send this request in ... 2 days ago  )

March - June
- I know that Easter is April 8th, so probably the entire month is out, except maybe the last few days
- June is out, because we honeymooned during that time and it's freakin miserable in the Florida sun :)

- so mostly, what do you think about March and May? And maybe April, if I'm not thinking correctly.

Thanks!

We have gone several times in May, though the last time was 2 years ago. The weather was beautiful, and the crowds were moderate. We went in mid-May, and the crowds were definitely on the increase by the time we left on the 19th. The other thing is that there are school groups in the park in May. They weren't too bad, if you just went the opposite direction.

I love going in May, but I can't take the older kids out of school any more.

Jennifer - don't know if you have an answer or decision yet, but I've been in all 3 months within the last 5 years.

You're pretty much guaranteed to have Spring Breakers from early March (I know Texas schools are out at this time) until the week or so after Easter. We went very early March this year, and although the crowds weren't terrible, we could see things filling in by the end of our 10-day stay.

We went mid-April last year. There were still a fair amount of "Yankees" :goodvibes at WDW due to Easter being so early, but I do think Easter being at the end of March last year helped somewhat with the crowds.

We went late May (arrived like the Thursday or Friday after Memorial Day) in 2003, and things were pretty good. It was warm, but not overly miserable. Up to that point, that had probably been the lightest crowds I had ever seen at WDW, since I was so used to going in mid-summer with my family as a kid.

So, of the weeks you're considering, I would look at going late April to early May. The weather should be nice, and hopefully the crowds will be, too.
