The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 6

We are in the Disney Movie Club....joined last fall. I think they run some good specials and have movies you don't see out on the shelves. I haven't fulfilled my commitment yet but still have quite awhile!!
I think there are quite a few that have fulfilled their commitments and can answer better!!

Hmmmm. Want to take a guess on when we joined the club? Yep, last fall.

Thanks everyone for your prayers! From what I have heard the procedure is fairly simple, but I think Meme is a little concerned because it just sounds so odd. When the PT said they would inject "concrete", I think that it threw her for a little while. Now, she can't seem to get past that part. She should be back at home and good as new as early as tomorrow so that is good! I just told her that this had to be better and faster than the time she broke both wrists within 4 weeks of each other. Not fun for a woman who lives alone!

I believe mention of the 40 second rule is supposed to be preceeded and followed by That rule seems to cause a lot of problems around here. I figured that I was going to miss it because of that rule, but others posted quickly enough to help! Thanks guys!

Vicki -- on those HCOE DVD's you bought .... how do they do Spectromagic? Is it on there at all? I have it on video but it's not the best quality. I just finished listening to a podcast of all of the electrical parades in the past, around the world, etc and just realize I need a good quality DVD of it in case it ever goes away! Thanks!

You know, I don't remember Spectro being on there now that you mention it. I'll watch it again and let you know for sure. They don't show you the whole of any attractions. It is just enough to give you a warm fuzzy reminder.

Ok.... so did you know that the people who do the VOICES of Mickey and Minnie are married?

I just listened to a program called "Mickey and Minnie tell All", and it talks about this. And it gave one of the reasons that they don't make them (the mice, not the humans) get married in public.... they did a survey, and found that most people that responded view them as their own age -- especially kids. So if that's the case, and then they got married, they would ruin the illusion becuase they would suddenly be adults.

I would like to first thank Stephanie (Steffy) for telling me about the DIS board. About two weeks after that, I found the Design thread and that started my year long posting.

When we went to WDW, I had the most fun. Not only because I was having a real, real vacation since my cruise in 1987 with my DH. But all the planning, and making of shirts from everyone who made the most wonderful designs for our time with Disney.

I do not have the money to go as often as I would like to in my dreams, but I can live vicariously from everyone else going. Right now I would give anything to go this year, but it is not looking like that in the cards.

Before I head to bed, I am hoping that you can spare some prayers and pixie dust for my grandma (Ruth) tomorrow morning. She recently joined Curves. Two weeks ago Saturday she was doing her workout and did something to hurt her back. Thinking it was just strain she took it easy for a week. When it was still sore that Thursday she went to the doctor who sent her to physical therapy. The pt listened to her complaint and said "you know that sounds just like a woman who was here the other day and she actually had a fractured compressed vertebrae. Soo...they do xrays and my grandma has not one, but TWO fractured compressed vertebrae.

So tomorrow morning she is having a procedure done to help the extreme pain she is in. They will insert a needle between the vertebrea and insert a little balloon. The balloon inflates to put the vertebrea back in line and then they inject a concrete like substance that will keep them in place. She has been told that the pain is better almost immediately which should be good.

In addition to this one time, I am concerned about what this all means for the state of her osteoperosis. This is the simplest event that has ended up with a broken bone for her so it doesn't sound good. It is about the 6th broken bone she has had in the last few years.

Hi!!! I still remeber your mailbox. Did you do anything else "Disney" outside your house? Can't convince DH to do any Disney decor around here.


I booked my airfare with Jet Blue 2 days ago after waiting for SW fares which ended up being too high. I got $89 each way for the 5 of us. I know you shouldn't look but I always check the fares after I purchase anyway.

Wow, that is interesting..I always wondered why they kind of act married & other times not. My kids ask me that question every time we go to their houses at toontown. So to me Mickey & Minnie are 38 so something must be going on between them! ;0) (smiles aren't working)
