Love all this talk of obsessiveness - we all SO fit in with each other!

Last year, DH and I went to WDW for his 30th b-day (actually this time last year! ), and our parents were surprising him by showing up our last couple of days. Well, I prepared and shipped to them these very elaborate binders with maps, packing lists, itineraries, menus from the restaurants we'd be eating at, driving directions from the airport to their resorts, etc. - even a CD of my favorite Disney music to get them in the mood!

Fortunately, they all loved it - but DH was a tad overwhelmed when they each pulled out their copy to show him!

I also have HUGE files on each of our trips currently residing in one of our filing cabinets. DH says we will have to rent a storage unit to accomodate them all if I'm planning on keeping them! :rotfl2:

That is exactly what I want to do for our big family trip next year! Would you mind PMing me the details of what you included (if more than you listed above)?

HI Everybody;

We're back from our marathon day!!

Dawn-I can't tell you how excited I am for you!!! It is So nice to have one of both!!! Little girls are So much fun, especially to dress up!!! Congratulations!!!!

Denise- I will keep Rees in my prayers that everything goes as smoothly as possible, and can be done as simply as possible!!!! Your family is always in our prayers, I really admire you and I think that you have a truly amazing family!!!!

Unfortunately, I really don't have any great news to report as far as Cody goes. The tumor was much bigger than they originally thought, and it was wrapped around some nerves. It was a very invasive surgery, and he bled a lot. He has a 7 inch long 5 inch wide and 4 inch deep incision with 3 layers of stitches. They also think that his bowel may be affected since it was SO near there, he may now have some incontinence problems because of the surgery, we should see through the week. The Vet did not sound optimistic, but we have to wait about a week for the report to see what it was and if it had spread. Dave is headed up to the Vet now to decide if we should bring him home tonight, the Vet said that it was up to us to decide, he can stay overnight or go home w/ a lot of pain and meds. If we do not bring him home tonight it will be sometime tomorrow. The surgery was also a lot more expensive than we thought it would be unfortunately. I am really sad about this and I am dreading having him come home because I know when I see him I will be even more upset. If you all could keep up your continued prayers we would very much appreciate it!!!

Sorry to be such a downer on such a happy day...

Thanks

Julie

:wizard: :grouphug: for you and your family and Cody

Ok, we only have about 400 more to our next milestone. Yes, I counted right. I'm not totally crazy!!!! Well, that discussion is for another time. :rotfl: When we hit 22584, we'll have more posts in this thread than in the monster thread. That is only about 400 away. It took you 220 days to hit it in the monster thread. How many days will it be in this thread? So far, this thread has been going 104 days.

EGAD, guys! Now I know why it is taking me FOREVER to catch up. Stop talking, for Pete's sake :rotfl:

I really like them both, especially the colors. But isn't it spelled Pinocchio? Amy...where are you?

Yup- Vicki just PM'd me. Spelling is my true weakness!!! I changed the design.

OMG!!! I'm finally caught up. I was at this computer for 6 hours last night, and nearly 5 so far tonight (even ate sitting at the darn thing). What is going to happen when I go away for a week in August to Virginia Beach and for 6 days in September to WDW?

The trip to see Bud was great, but much too short. He loved his chocolate airplane. Matt was glad to get his cookies, and everyone enjoyed the dinner cooked in two crockpots. The bad part was coming home. A trip that should have taken 8 hours took 10! We were 4 hours just getting through New Jersey (and 1 hour of that was spent sitting in line waiting for gas on the Turnpike). We didn't get home until 11:45 p.m. and I had to go to work the next day. I haven't done anything since I got home except to work, sleep and catch up on this thread.

It sounds like everyone had a very nice Easter. Congratulations on the baby, Dawn. Julie, I hope everything looks up for your dog. Kate, thanks again for the Goofy signature - I love it. Denise, prayers and pixie dust for Rees. I hope he can be cured the easiest way. Chanon, I typed up index cards for my trip last December that had all of my ADR confirmation numbers, times, etc., park hours, parade times, what shirts to wear that day, etc. I put two together back to back and had them LAMINATED. We are all OCD on here. I am already started on charts for my September trip. No shirt designs yet, though. My granddaughter and I are going to design them together as soon as we have a weekend that we both can spare the time (to at least get started).

I read so much that anyone that I forgot, please forgive me.

I was telling DH about this over the weekend. He thinks we are wacked.

Bob just rolled his eyes about the Travelin' Mickey Band that will be traversing the world this summer. Kristin was disappointed that we did not design something cooler than Pal Mickey. When I asked her what she thought we would do and she shrugged her shoulders and said, "I dunno... but you guys are so cool with those designs I thought you would come up with more than Pal Mickey in a box." :rotfl2:

Cinder - You've NEVER heard of Thome before this year?! Wow :thumbsup2 He started in Cleveland, then was traded to Philly and is now in Chicago. He grew up in IL, so he has a decent following in Chicago. It was great to see him welcomed so nicely there. You'll like watching him at the game. PS: Bob got tickets to the June 10th game. It'll be his first game at the new stadium in Chicago. He's so excited!!

Vicki and Tia - One thing I don't plan well for is money. Since we prepay for food, there's not much that we spend money on. Normally I buy one snowglobe, Bob gets a couple shirts, and that's about it. I do do envelopes for Mousekeeping though...so I guess it's a start. :thumbsup2

Wow, more than the monster thread...... :goodvibes

There is one up the road on Abernathy RD where the Michaels is.
Have you been to the new centre they built by Perimeter it has a whole bunch of new restaurants, a super target, stores, high rise apartments etc??

John works right there at North Terraces (BellSouth). It is literally across the road. He loves it there and spends all our money at SuperTarget. There are some good places to eat in there (that Burger place). We could meet there!

I watch the White Sox only (and occasionally the Cubs to cheer against them of course!!) so I'm never up on who is on the other teams.
June 10 is my "Baby's" 3rd Birthday!!

Before I go: I forgot to mention that Walmart has their Clearance Cameras for an additional 50% off. I bought a DVD mini recorder for $180. It was originally $470. They had a wide selection too. I'm assuming that they just did the further markdowns. :thumbsup2

Oh man, I may have to go check that out tomorrow. What is with everyone trying to enable me to spend more money lately!

Here's that DDA brain thing we were talking about yesterday. Elin says:

Just Kate!? I think we should collect money for a calling card for Claire to use to call all of us! :)

We call out of the country often and it is not as expensive as it used to be with all the new technology. We should do a conference call.

What happens when you're prayer family of the week?

(I must confess that I don't go to church)

I don't go to church that often either Clare, which is why I'm kinda joking about this. Kevin goes to his childhood Presbyterian church every Sunday (he sings in the choir), and Alyssa and I made an appearance on Easter. Being "Prayer family of the week" is a rotational thing (it just means we're at the top of everyone's prayer list), but I thought it was humorous that the one Sunday I'm there, that our name was in the bulletin.

And since we're trying to sell our house, having a baby, etc. I thought I better be on my "best" behavior this week, so I told Kate and Julie at the Museum Center that lay off the sarcasm. It's not easy! :rotfl:

Amy :)
