HI Everybody;

We're back from our marathon day!!

Dawn-I can't tell you how excited I am for you!!! It is So nice to have one of both!!! Little girls are So much fun, especially to dress up!!! Congratulations!!!!

Denise- I will keep Rees in my prayers that everything goes as smoothly as possible, and can be done as simply as possible!!!! Your family is always in our prayers, I really admire you and I think that you have a truly amazing family!!!!

Unfortunately, I really don't have any great news to report as far as Cody goes. The tumor was much bigger than they originally thought, and it was wrapped around some nerves. It was a very invasive surgery, and he bled a lot. He has a 7 inch long 5 inch wide and 4 inch deep incision with 3 layers of stitches. They also think that his bowel may be affected since it was SO near there, he may now have some incontinence problems because of the surgery, we should see through the week. The Vet did not sound optimistic, but we have to wait about a week for the report to see what it was and if it had spread. Dave is headed up to the Vet now to decide if we should bring him home tonight, the Vet said that it was up to us to decide, he can stay overnight or go home w/ a lot of pain and meds. If we do not bring him home tonight it will be sometime tomorrow. The surgery was also a lot more expensive than we thought it would be unfortunately. I am really sad about this and I am dreading having him come home because I know when I see him I will be even more upset. If you all could keep up your continued prayers we would very much appreciate it!!!

no, she's always so nice! I am surprised too. Wonder if something went on via PMs that nobody else saw.

I'm nosy so I had to go look it up. I don't recognize one of the posters, but the other I see around a lot and it is strange because she's really nice and helpful. Maybe there is a history or something.

yes she has brought abayas for us actually. I have that and a few Saris from Sri Lanka. I have a very dear friend who was born in Sri Lanka and also lived in the UAE and Yemen for a total of 11 years before coming here. He pretty much says that Saudi is one of the only countries still being as ....... different as they are. He said everywhere else he has ever been is COMPLETELY away from the whole "women can't do anything" garbage. There are certain religious ramifications for women versus men, but he thinks that will be forever. But socially, NOTHING. Just in Saudi. It about kills me every time they go back home. It is really interesting to hear about though, and they just sent pictures last week of their town and the 'big city' nearby when they got a new digital camera. It's very neat to see!

I always find other cultures so interesting. I love to learn about them, be a small part of them and then come home.

Full day. 7:40am to 2:20pm. Bus picks up at 7:05am so I really won't be able to stay up late every night. I'll have to start posting early with Tammi and Elin!

My kids also get picked up at 7.05am, they start off catching the bus but once it gets dark and cold DH takes them to school and that carries thru to the end of the year they do catch the bus home most days and then either DH or my Dad meets them. DS hates the bus, they are really noisy.

We are in our room such a little it doesn't worry me which side or where as long as I can sleep without noise around.

Thankfully, no. I am such a wimp about heat! I might have to keep a list of hotels handy, though, that take dogs if it were to happen tonight! I know they're warning us at work to save anything repeatedly if we're working on the computer, as they think we might see one later today.

They're thinking we might break another record - which is 101 for today!

Hope the rolling brownouts end soon. Only went through one and it was a veerrrrrrry long 3 hours

I say she should get a microphone and tape a bunch of sounds on the computer. Then we can change the sounds for different functions of our computers. Can't you imagine when there is an error we could hear Clare saying "Lurgy". When the computer starts, it could say "Blimey".

i'm with you! Although I think I could spend some SERIOUS time living in Italy Still come home.... just maybe after a few years.

And after Clare posted that they get 30something mandatory days off I told everyone for a week that I was moving to London!
