mommy2emmersNmo said:Thanks for the concern everyone. We took him to vet, just to be safe, and they said he is fine. From what my DH and I can tell, he had about 1/2 of a white chocoalate lollipop. He had more fun with the Jellybeans and Peeps. He is acting quite normal, running around the house "fighting" with Brandi, our other dog.

bengalbelle said:We had a great day yesterday too. We felt we had been going overboard with the baskets the last few years so we simplified this year. MUCH better! Christopher was crazy about everything in his basket and after he finished looking in it said he wanted to make an announcement. Then he thanked the Easter bunny. The Easter Bunny hit a home run with the Teen Titans DVD. Christopher and Brian watched it for a while yesterday morning while I did some cleaning. Sad, I know on Easter but I was behind from being sick.
We did not go to church yesterday. We haven't been in quite some time, actually. We haven't really found a church that we feel comfortable in. The one we're members in is very large and sort of hard to get involved in. It's also far away. We don't have any Presbyterian churches in our area either. Anyway, my goal for next Easter is to be settled in a church.
For lunch we went to my inlaws and had boiled shrimp, corn on the cob, potatoes, mushrooms, salad, sausage, Boudin Balls, bread, Peep cupcakes and Strawberry Daiquiri cake. We had a really nice time. There were some close family members there as well. Lots of nice conversation and Christopher spent hours chasing after his older cousin and hunting Easter eggs. He was dirty and sweaty when we left![]()
Today I have to finish cleaning and get back to decluttering. I've been slowly doing this since December! Christopher's out of school this week so I'm letting him be lazy today, but I've got to plan some fun things for the rest of the week.
I hope everyone has a great day!

Elin, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. You and your family will be in my prayers.
Glynis - You look absolutely wonderful. My first thought, as I read was everyone elses, was how incredibly happy you looked in the after picture.
Kristine - I knew there was something I forgot to say in my drive-by post yesterday.....Happy Belated Anniversary. Sorry it's late.
All of the pictures everyone posted were great.
I feel so out of touch with you all since I am not on here regularly to chat. Hopefully that will change in a day or two. I miss everyone!

UP Disney said:It came across exactly the way you intended. I think we all understand your sense of humor since most of us share it. I don't think you have anything to worry about!!!!!

Talk about having a large variety of food. Here is our extensive list. This is short for my Mom normally we have a larger variety and more desserts.
Turkey, Ham, Potato Filling, Sweet Potatoes, Corn, green beans, broccoli with cheese, carrots, spinach dip with beer bread, Grands biscuits, honey lemon muffins, homemade strawberry jelly, homemade, apple butter, macaroni salad, cole slaw, pepper cabbage, deviled eggs, Jello eggs, Pink cement, turtle brownies, pineapple sour cream pie, rice krispy treats, cheesecake, peanut butter pie, angel food cake, sugar cookies, peanut butter eggs, cherry cream eggs, coconut cream eggs and butter cream eggs. I think that covers everything.
She always sends everyone home with leftovers and also takes some to the one neighbor whose wife died about a year ago.
I went to 8am church, than I helped my Mom get lunch together for the 15 people she was hosting. We ate lunch around 12:45, played some card games, watched Narnia and Toy Story 2 with my Moms friends kids. Somewhere in the we had dessert, it is separated from the meal so that we can actually eat it. I took my grandmother back to her nursing home and had dinner. I attempted to nap and then I went to work and I just got back from work.

As far as the base your SIL will be stationed at, I am not sure why she cant tell you the base, but whatever. I dont think the base is a secret (not to be confused with the secret I have and am not telling you all), it would be her job that would be secret. Usually when we are not allowed to tell where we are going, it has to do with locations that are not well known, but to be stationed someplace for a few years is not a normal secret thing.
I found four Air Force bases in England. You can google them and try to figure out where they might go. And if you do go visit Clare, then you might have time to stop in and visit you family as well.
RAF Alconbury
RAF Croughton
RAF Mildenhall
RAF Lakenheath
babytrees said:Out of those bases I can tell you which one it probably isn't, unless it's changed missions, that RAF Croughton.....that is where my dad was stationed and I worked when I was HS in the Public Relations Office. I am betting she will be stationed at Mildenhall and I think your sister thinks to highly of herself if you can't know the base....geesh!!
while other times this is what I feel like
anytime I have to deal with her. Needless to say, I talk to her only when it is completely unavoidable on my part. Thankfully we do not have to be around one another very often. Steamboat Marti said:I wouldn't expect anything less!
Sorry to post and go... we're having more company in less than an hour. Catch up with you later.
Oh - and we're having hot dogs, hamburgers, broccoli salad,on-the-grill potatoes, baked beans, fresh fruit salad and of course... Dole Whips for desert!!
UP Disney said:OMG! If they were to ask me of all the people on the DDA which is the least likely to be cruel, I'd have to say Glynis. It is so obvious from all your posts how sensitive & caring a person you are. I love all the people on this thread but you have always stood out to me as an extra special caring person. I don't think you have to worry about anyone ever thinking you are cruel.![]()

I Am Eternal
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on the snow.
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumns rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
For I am not there. I did not die.

. I am so sorry for your loss.
& I love the new addition to your signature.
. I never get a day like this to read posts, but a bug had me feeling pretty yucky this morning so I stayed home from work & have used the time to catch up a little bit on what's been going on here.
