Out of those bases I can tell you which one it probably isn't, unless it's changed missions, that RAF Croughton.....that is where my dad was stationed and I worked when I was HS in the Public Relations Office. I am betting she will be stationed at Mildenhall and I think your sister thinks to highly of herself if you can't know the base....geesh!!

I have only been to Mildenhall over night on the way back from the Middle East, so I don’t know much about the bases either, but I do find it funny that Robyn’s SIL is being so Super Secret.

Thank goodness I don't work tomorrow. My poor kids would be so confused. I'd talk with a NY and Midwest accent, wonder where my tie dye Crocs were, tell everyone I didn't have triplets, crave Dole Whips, be thinking of my next great project to send to Disney...

Most of you who have been on here for a while and especially the past few months will probably remember that my Mom has been steadily declining in health. Well, tonight she died. It was not really unexpected nor sudden, but it hurts, nonetheless. Bob and I were going to PA to visit her and his parents this coming Friday. I guess we will be going sooner now. Please keep my brother in Boston and my sister in Allentown in your thoughts as we all all be traveling at some time this week.

Elin, I am so sorry to hear this. I know it wasn't unexpected, but that never eases the pain. I will be praying for you and your family. :grouphug:

Anyone with a newer laptop: what do you have? and how do you like it??

I am going to get a new one in the next couple of weeks...not sure what to buy.. :confused3

I am so very sorry for your loss. I will pray for the traveling family member and that you all find peace sooner than later.

I Am Eternal

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on the snow.
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
For I am not there. I did not die.

Ok, so that P3 took WAAAAY too long. Are the boards just being super slow for me?!

I'm off as well to try and be productive  My mom is making Easter dinner tonight, I can't wait! I don't really have anything else on the plate though (specifically) so more likely than not I'll be on and off all day :)

If you have a minute, we could use some pixie dust for our mortgage process. I don't know if there's anything wrong, it's just taking a REALLY long time. And I realize that they do take time. I'm just a little nervous because we aren't getting a traditional mortgage. We're trying to get a 'doctor loan' (sounds shady, but I promise it's a real thing :rotfl: ) that has all sorts of certain criteria -- no PMI, not taking deferred student loans into consideration (which is HUGE for residents whose loans are more than they'll make during their entire residency), little to no down but with a good rate still, etc. Basically a loan taking your future income/debt ratio into consideration rather than your current situation.

I don't know, there's a list of like 20 things that we are supposed to look for, and we had very little luck with it around here. There is one company in the area that does it, and the rest are online (which I am less comfortable with). If this company doesn't make it work, I'm not sure where to look. :confused3 And we don't feel like we have a lot of time. God help any students moving out of their city, this is hard enough while staying IN town!

Have a fantastic day! :goodvibes

PD to you and Kyle..... pixiedust:

This reminds me of German Kinder-eggs they are the same idea.

Oh I LOVE Kinder Eggs! My "brother" (long story) used to send them to us all the time while he was stationed in Germany. When I went to Italy, I had at least one every day and brought home about 30! :rotfl:

My absolute FAVORITE treath though (ever. hands down), is the Kinder Pingui. When I worked at a Marriott nearby, one of our favorite business customers used to bring them to us every time he would stay. Kroger and another local grocery store used to carry them for a short time, but now they don't. And even Jungle Jim's doesn't, so I thought maybe they weren't made anymore.... but I found those in Europe as well, and got all of my friends hooked!

I don't know how you do it Steffy -- and extra 7 people?? That would send me over the edge!

I have to say, it was the calmness of my daughter. The table was all set with 8 place settings and a space for my baby grandson. When her father-in-law showed up, he had his brother and his wife, Nanny T's two adult girls showed up, and Dsil's brother and his two kids. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

The food was going to be served buffet style from the kicthen, since we had put the leaf into the dining room table and there was SO MUCH FOOD, it would have made it hard to pass around the dining room table. So she just told everyone to grab a paper plate, she put the china away and we were off!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I didn't care. I was sitting with my baby grandson in my arms sniffing his little baby smell, my two older grands now had playmates! Nanny T brough dyed eggs and we just used yard instead of her home... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Now if we hadn't made enough food to feed this army.... yikes!!

We did not go to church yesterday :(. We haven't been in quite some time, actually. We haven't really found a church that we feel comfortable in. The one we're members in is very large and sort of hard to get involved in. It's also far away. We don't have any Presbyterian churches in our area either. Anyway, my goal for next Easter is to be settled in a church.

The Presbyterian church that I belong to is very large as well, around 1300 members. There are 2 other Presbyterian churches near me as well. All of them have large congregations. I agree that with it being so large it is hard to get involved. Emma's sunday school class 2 years ago was 30 kids. I just don't see how she could really learn anything in a class that size. Luckily, we have since found a non denominational church around the corner that is a great match for us. Hopefully you will find something that fits your family.

Chanon, Clare -- Here are a few pictures I found. I'm still going to try and go see it for myself! :rotfl2:

First off - there is no such thing as a midwest accent - people on tv talk like ME!!! :thumbsup2

and I would take great offense at the crocs comment - except I wore them with my easter outfit today - yes a balck and white skirt and balck top with my tie dyed crocs - my knee couldn't handle the heels - so I just told everyone I was wearing easter egg shoes!!!

Gotta laugh about the comfortable shoes. I have worn SAS shoes (the Freestyle, tie up)for years. With everything. Shorts, (YIKES!!), dresses (old lady, yes I am), dressy clothes.

So when my son got married, his wife looked down at my feet and just shook her head. And I said, hey they're navy, just like my dress!

Fast forward to today. I have a soft cast (the infamous black boot) on my left leg and a teak colored SAS shoe on the right leg, that I had a lift built on so I would walk evenly. And then I have this flowered purse that tinker1bell gave me for my birthday eons ago.

So the kids tell me I not only look like a granny, I look like a great-granny!!

And then, and then, I found a grey hair in my eyebrow..... :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I think the 9 to begin with would have sent me over!

Sounds like a great day was had by all Steffy :thumbsup2

Thanks Clare!

Thanks for the concern everyone. We took him to vet, just to be safe, and they said he is fine. From what my DH and I can tell, he had about 1/2 of a white chocoalate lollipop. He had more fun with the Jellybeans and Peeps. He is acting quite normal, running around the house "fighting" with Brandi, our other dog.

I remember when we were redoing our bathroom. DH brought the toilet outside for me to clean. It was only one but I wonder what the neighbors thought?

Yep - although we're having to do it in stages as I have a dust allergy and after about an hour my skin starts to crawl and I have to go take a shower! We've already taken one car load to the tip and today I filled another 3 boxes with junk!

We're getting there slowly but surely :thumbsup2

Clare,
Is the "tip" like a land fill or dump?
