I went the other day -

I went to the Disney store and got them bubble blowers (a gun blower) and an antenna topper and watches that were $2.99 each -although if you decide to do that - I highly reccomend that you do not buy your kids the Cinderella or Toy Story watches

- at Wal-mart they have pre stuffed Mickey Mouse and Care bear eggs so I bought those - I am so lazy!!

They are each getting a video - assuming I can find Parent Trap and then Julia got a cupcake doll b/c that is all I have heard about for two weeks and Nick is getting something for his train set!

oh - and the Easter bunny always brings a kite and new markers and sidewalk chalk

Very good ideas!!! What so the M/M & Care Bear eggs have in them?? I was thinking of going w/ an outdoorsy theme or pool theme. I am never this late, I usually have all of this done way before now.

Were the Cupcake dolls still on clearance???

Kate-I would try Target or Best Buy for Parent Trap. Do you mean the old one or the new one,, we have both and I think that the older one is at Best Buy and the new one I am sure is at both...If you can't find it I can give her our video if you want it, because she just got the DVD from someone. Both of them are favorites of mine!!!

I am not sure about care bear but the MM ones have MM and friends shaped candy!!!

I always think outdoors is a good route -

since I am trying to declutter I tried not to get more clutter!

I think it's funny that I called one of my "Supposed" best friends to talk to her about this because she had went through something similar w/ her dog and she was just too busy to talk to me and she said she would call me back later---which she never did . Then I tell you all about it and I get all the support and reassurance I need!!! Thanks!!!

Well, I do have one, but not as bad as it could be! And I'm a darn proud Southern gal. I can't imagine dealing with all that snow. Yuck!

ETA: so would it be better if I typed Southern? Would ya like it if I talked on here like I do in real life? I can do that, if ya are wantin' me to. Denise - I watched Idol last night and was thinking about you when SImon was giving Kellie her feedback.

She said she couldn't understand a word of what he said because of his accent - he said he had the same problem - to which Kellie said, but I don't have an accent!

Dh and I were because to us Simon doesn't have an accent and Kellie most definitely does

I love her accent though - it's so stereotypical American for us to hear that - like it is for you guys to hear posh Londeners, when only the minority of people actually speak like that! Not me anyway

Everyone is probably wondering why Tuesday as Good Friday and Easter Monday are not holidays here!!!

Really??? You've not all got the days off from work? They're public holidays here so shops are open - but for limited hours - and things like banks, postal services etc are closed.

How wierd - I assumed they would be for you guys too

Hi Guys;

We just got some bad news tonight about our 4 year old dog Cody. He is a big Golden Labrador Retriever.

Dave took him to the vet today for his regular check-up and shots and they felt a lump on the top of his hind legs. They did a needle biopsy to see if it was anything to be concerned about.

We went out for a quick dinner and when we got home there was a message from the Vet asking us to call them immediately. We called and they said that it was a tumor of some sort w/many active cells to it. I don't think that it sounds too good by what she said. We have to take him in right away to have the tumor removed and sent to a pathologist. If it is benign that will be all that we have to do, if it is malignant there is not much they can do.

He is the absolute best dog in the world, he is so gentle and loving. He looks after the kids and lets them do anything to him. I don't know what I would do without him!!!

I am also worrying about how much this will cost, I mean we already paid almost $300 for today. Obviously though we will do anything that we can do for him!!!

I know that in light of all of the many hardships that I have heard about on this board this may sound trivial, but he is such a big part of our family!!! If anyone can spare a prayer or two I would very much appreciate it!!!
