The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 5

Did she sound upset when she was telling you she couldn't go, or more matter-of-fact? If she was matter-of-fact, then maybe she is looking for a reason not to go.

Does she know that all she has to pay for is souvenier $$? Maybe that's the hang up.

Regardless, I'd tell her that you really want to share this with her, and for her to trust you on it. Have you bought anything already that you might lose if she were to back out now?

DVC!!!!

I wanted her to go on my first trip home. She was more matter of fact. "We need to get on the same page" stuff. I think it is because she needs a new refridgerator and she doesn't want her son to buy it for her....

Her son just wants to make her happy. He'd do anything for her. Anything. And he has the means to do it. She's just so "independent."

I like the "trust me"

I'm going to work on her when we go to Chicago next month....

When are you all arriving in DC?

I get there Thursday and have promised DH that I will do whatever he wants until Saturday - at which time he has to do what I want - which is of course hang out with the DDA!!! He is a good sport and is looking forward to it!! Did you all know you get to meet Mr. Kate?

We leave late Sunday night - so I thought we could do something on Saturday afternoon - into the night and then Sunday morning -

I am not sure where we should go - the bars I used to hang out in probably aren't what us old ladies want to do now!!

Steffy and I could leave early Saturday morning. I think Pal Mickey should do something patriotic, or maybe the zoo or Smithsonian. There are so so many places to go to.

Seriously - none of us will ever be able to sit through Turtle Talk with a straight face again!!

And it will be my first time. Turtle Talk was down the last time I was there!!

Alrighty...I'm finally caught up and, more importantly Terra is finally asleep. Since she is about to cut off the circulation in my arm, I think that I'll say goodnight. I hate my physical therapist - okay not really -

but I went from being able to function with occasional buckling of my knee - to constant pain and buckling all the time - by night time I can barely walk!!

I know it is going to get worse before it gets better but OWWWW!!!

I love my podiatrist. My tendon is actually getting better. I was really hurting tonight at the grocery store, but I really think I won't need surgery....

but I never think about doing that and I hate to take medicine unless I really need to - I am afraid that I will mask the pain and end up doing more damage - the pain now reminds me not to carry my kids up the stairs!!

Get better Kate!!!

I am in SO much trouble tomorrow!!! I have done no shopping for the Easter Bunny yet and I am dreading going out tomorrow, I know it will be a zoo !!! Anybody have any good ideas, I usually go w/ some new videos but the ones that I was going to get them my parents have already bought for them !!! Plus I need to find an Easter/First communion outfit tomorrow too.

I went the other day -

I went to the Disney store and got them bubble blowers (a gun blower) and an antenna topper and watches that were $2.99 each -although if you decide to do that - I highly reccomend that you do not buy your kids the Cinderella or Toy Story watches

- at Wal-mart they have pre stuffed Mickey Mouse and Care bear eggs so I bought those - I am so lazy!!

They are each getting a video - assuming I can find Parent Trap and then Julia got a cupcake doll b/c that is all I have heard about for two weeks and Nick is getting something for his train set!

oh - and the Easter bunny always brings a kite and new markers and sidewalk chalk
