weluvdisney said:Hi Guys;
We just got some bad news tonight about our 4 year old dog Cody. He is a big Golden Labrador Retriever.
Dave took him to the vet today for his regular check-up and shots and they felt a lump on the top of his hind legs. They did a needle biopsy to see if it was anything to be concerned about.
We went out for a quick dinner and when we got home there was a message from the Vet asking us to call them immediately. We called and they said that it was a tumor of some sort w/many active cells to it. I don't think that it sounds too good by what she said. We have to take him in right away to have the tumor removed and sent to a pathologist. If it is benign that will be all that we have to do, if it is malignant there is not much they can do.
He is the absolute best dog in the world, he is so gentle and loving. He looks after the kids and lets them do anything to him. I don't know what I would do without him!!!
I am also worrying about how much this will cost, I mean we already paid almost $300 for today. Obviously though we will do anything that we can do for him!!!
I know that in light of all of the many hardships that I have heard about on this board this may sound trivial, but he is such a big part of our family!!! If anyone can spare a prayer or two I would very much appreciate it!!!
Thanks,
Julie
Julie -- the animals that we choose to bring into our families are not a triviality by any means. We love them and want them to be our companions for a very long time. Here is some
that the biopsy will come back in Cody's favor.
It is quite scary how accurate it is.

Yep, that sounds weird when I read it twice.
All I ask is a thank you note or a postcard from DW!
