I am not one to advise on anything healthy.

Oh Glynis, where are you.....:rolleyes1

I'm here, just trying to catch up! You guys were too chatty last night and today. Fridays are hard for me to be online.

As for healthy: I'm doing a ham for Easter dinner with twice baked potato casserole for the kids and a yummy sweet potato for me and DH. I'm also doing sugar free jello salad, jello beans, cottage cheese, veggie tray, and for dessert???? Strawberry daquiri cupcakes for the kids, and a flourless chocolate torte for DH and me. I figure it's a holiday, and should be special. I just plan on eating the ham (my kids don't like glaze so that makes it healthier), veggies, sweet potato and a small bite of torte.

Sorry I'm not much help at the holidays.

Hmmm... sounds like a good meal, but not one I could eat very much of. I do realize that you are not eating much of it either, Glynis! I will go search recipes and see if I find anything really yummy sounding that is low fat and low calorie. I will let you all know if I find anything.

Kate - Just keep swimmin..just keep swimmin... THANK YOU KATE! (Now if I could only find it on her photobucket account!!! She still hasn't pm'd it to me! :cool1: )
Oddly enough, I can picture you scooping your kids up in a big hug and smelling them. :) Yep, that sounds weird when I read it twice.

Robyn - It's my job! No need to thank me. :teeth: All I ask is a thank you note or a postcard from DW!

Denise - We are on Airtran from Akron to Atlanta to Orlando. Arrive into MCO at 1:39pm.

So Kate, you still around? I'm gonna go hunt on your photobucket account again...

We leave on AirTran at 4:30pm.

I've decided no one really cares where I've stayed in the past. :rotfl: Dory's more important!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Kate!

PS: Did you change your Segway tour to get the 15% discount? It's the least I can do for my signature!

Can you tell I have a thing for fish? :fish: <- and even he's yellow! I used to have a yellow angel fish in college. For some odd reason, he lived through everything, and for over 5 years. I bought him when he was the size of a quarter, and he ended up being the size of a CD. Then he died. I wanted to get more fish. Then I saw Finding Nemo and felt guilty. :guilty:

Can ya'll tell I'm excited?! I'm rambling!!

I wish I could splurge and stay at the Contemporary Atrium Club!

Speaking of concierge...I have some clients staying at the Beach Club and I've convinced her to stay concierge. I've NEVER had anyone stay concierge before. Can someone tell me what it's like so I can pass the info on to her?

Becky -- I love your imagination and creativity! Wish we could find someone to hire you to do nothing but sit around and come up with them all day long! But, most of us are already working too many hours a day and/or night to do this... wouldn't it be just amazing to see though?!? <<insert nodding smiley here>>

That's part of my problem, I already do to much so I can't see my ideas through. But I also found another part of my problem, it is the day I was born. :rotfl: It is quite scary how accurate it is.

Your creativity is supreme, but it sometimes makes it hard for you to get things done.

Your strength: Your inner peace

Your weakness: You get stuck in the clouds

Your power color: Emerald

Your power symbol: Leaf

OK -- I did mine and it is pretty good too!

Mundane tasks tend to drain you - you prefer to be making great plans.
You are quite original. When people don't "get" you, it bothers you a lot.

KATE

I PM'd you but I wanted to say THANKS here for the cool new name gif you made for me. I love it...thanks again!!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay:

Your Birthdate: November 16

You're incredibly introverted and introspective. You live inside your head. You spend a lot of alone time meditating and thinking. People see you as withdrawn, and at times they are right. You are caring and deep, but it may be difficult for you to show this side of yourself.

Your strength: Your original approach to thinking

Your weakness: You tend to shy away from others

Your power color: Pale blue

Your power symbol: Wavy line

Your power month: July

The strength is right on but I'm not really sure about the rest of it. I definitely don't think I'm withdrawn. What do you all think?

Don't tell me she has taken a leave of absence without permission again!!! :furious:

here Tammi - you can amuse yourself until she shows up!

No leave of absence, I promise! I bowl on Friday mornings, so I had to leave the house early. Then I had a meeting with a school librarian for help on a final project I have to do. Next, I had to take Katie to her violin lesson, then directly to a birthday party. In between I had to hard boil eggs so the kids can color them tonight. Now, I'm making dinner (Chicken Enchilada Soup and Cornbread), and making chicken salad for sandwiches tomorrow and a jello salad all for the family Easter Egg hunt. I'm trying to catch up, but you guys were really chatty last night and today, so it's going to take me some time.

I promise I won't leave again without telling y'all (is that right, Denise)

I read the first line and freaked out!! But I don't see how ****makes me feel empowered! But travel and yellow?!? Spooky. :)

***Your Birthdate: July 23***

You're not good at any one thing, and that's the problem.
You're good at so much - you never know what to do.
Change is in your blood, and you don't stick to much for long.
You are destined for a life of travel and fun.

Your strength: Your likeability

Your weakness: You never feel satisfied

Your power color: Bright yellow

Your power symbol: Asterisk

Your power month: May

We drove down last November, our mistake being we left around 10pm and thought we could do it in one shot. We went with my parents & sister so there was 2 cars, each with 2 drivers. Problem was Molly did not sleep at all the entire way down. This year we will leave Saturday early am and drive til we are tired then get up Sunday and finish.

My DH says we will just get water when we are down there. No way!! I will pick it up on sale and stock pile. Why waste time in a grocery store down there when I can be in the parks.

The last time we drove we left our house on Friday (Halloween to be exact) at 1am..drove straight thru..We had made pb sandwiches in a cooler & snacks in the car. Got to Carribean Beach resort at 6pm Saturday in time for dinner. My kids didn't sleep more than maybe 2 hours each & that was in short naps..I did all the driving going since I was so excited.

Coming home we did the reverse..we left Disney at 6am. DH did all the driving back. We got home at 1am...funny huh?

I just know how tired we are by the time we have to leave Disney so the drive home is very l-o-n-g.

By the way, your eggs look great...Oh I haven't started cleaning yet..we had a fun day with the kids instead! :grouphug:

Hi Guys;

We just got some bad news tonight about our 4 year old dog Cody. He is a big Golden Labrador Retriever.

Dave took him to the vet today for his regular check-up and shots and they felt a lump on the top of his hind legs. They did a needle biopsy to see if it was anything to be concerned about.

We went out for a quick dinner and when we got home there was a message from the Vet asking us to call them immediately. We called and they said that it was a tumor of some sort w/many active cells to it. I don't think that it sounds too good by what she said. We have to take him in right away to have the tumor removed and sent to a pathologist. If it is benign that will be all that we have to do, if it is malignant there is not much they can do.

He is the absolute best dog in the world, he is so gentle and loving. He looks after the kids and lets them do anything to him. I don't know what I would do without him!!!

I am also worrying about how much this will cost, I mean we already paid almost $300 for today. Obviously though we will do anything that we can do for him!!!

I know that in light of all of the many hardships that I have heard about on this board this may sound trivial, but he is such a big part of our family!!! If anyone can spare a prayer or two I would very much appreciate it!!!

Thanks,

Julie
