So clare's post about when we all came along inspired me - here is a list of when people joined the original thread (up to the first 20 pages) then I skimmed to see when the real designing began for Midnite and I and when the chatting began - I could be wrong as I didn't read anything - but here is a quick synopsis

And followed up with this a few posts later

Then followed by this:

And on page 36 – I made this statement

On page 37 – I posted the first off topic post – about Julia & Belle – it was related to the first design I ever did – someone asked how Julia got to ride the teacups with belle

Then on page 39 – it was all over when I posted this:

On page 169
Chaoscent dubbed us the Disney Design Addicts

And it appears that Marti and I started the first conversation shortly after with a discussion about (Of course) DVC!!!

You can look here to see when you first found the DDA!!! (if it was the original thread)

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=826364&page=1&pp=15

then we can see when everyone started posting!

Kate! I'm supposed to be studying and I just spent 10 minutes getting completely square eyed tryig to find my first post :rotfl2:

I found myself on page 23!

I must have been a lurker for a while cos I remember being around before then... I do remember Midnite's 3 designs offer though... oh the things we say without the benefit of hindsight :rotfl2:

I will, I will :sad2: !!!!!

I am really excited for Kyle's First Communion, it is such a big milestone I think!!! He is really looking forward to it, but Carli is extremely jealous!!! I am glad I have a son doing it first though because it seems like the girls are a lot more work and expense  , what else is new???? I swear I am going to be broke by the time April is over with, between Easter, a birthday, and First Communion!!!

Congratulations on Kyle's Firt Communion!!!!!!

HUMMM.... It was more like he tried hiding the ring in a oyster instead of a pearl at that place in Epcot in Japan while I was on the Haunted Mansion in the MK, so when we went back the next day I'd find it but then it was gone type of dream. Like I said, it was weird.

I don't have far to look for my first post. Well, after the 80's fashback last weekend, I might have to go back a little further. :teeth:

Kate - What are these famous bags I'm hearing about?!

I think I'm a candidate for worst mom of the day award. Lizzy lost her first top tooth last night and was SO excited. We have a special tooth fairy pillow she uses. She came in my room crying this morning that the tooth fairy didn't come.

Well, the last time she lost a tooth it was in the middle of the night and she left the tooth on my vanity. My DH went to wake her up that next morning and I heard her say the tooth fairy hadn't left anything so I put it on my vanity where the tooth was.

Last night I had put the $1 coin on my vanity but was wait for her to fall asleep before I put it in her room and then I forgot/fell asleep myself. So this morning when she came in crying I told her "maybe the tooth fairy left it where she did last time". We told her the tooth fairy must have been real busy and that since she lost the tooth so late in the day she wasn't really "on the schedule" so the tooth fairy didn't have time to search for the tooth. She seemed to accept this "explanation" fine.

Good recovery. Maybe you can make a note that says sorry I was so busy last night, that might help also.

AND YOU ARE NOT THE WORST MOM IN THE WORLD!!!! (sorry for yelling, but you are a very good mother and you shouldn't think that you are not.)

My firstborn son is going to be 4 tomorrow. Wow! Where has the time gone?! For his birthday we're just going to do cake and ice cream with the family, but this weekened we're taking him to the park in a neighboring town that has a kiddie train, kiddie roller coaster and a merry-go-round. (This is their website.) We plan on spending the day there. Tonight we took the family out for a pre-birthday dinner at a nice new Mexican restaurant.

This is my boy riding on the train last year (the date's wrong on the photo!)

Great to see you back around - and happy birthday to your son! I hope you guys enjoy the celebration!

Ok so why did no one else point out that all the time I was trying to find out if there was a HM in Tokyo there is in fact a Japan in WDW :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Doh!

I still stand by the fact its a premonition though...

Kate -- I have the world's worst memory, so I'm thrilled you took us on a trip down memory lane.....

Now, can you do my cruise excursion research for me since I'm having trouble remembering what I've read... I thought I would remember about the excursions, hence I wouldn't need to trouble myself to take notes. HA! Wrong again...

Haven't read anything this am. Good morning! On our way to school. Rees slept through the night. Said he feels better this am, but the first thing he asked me was to take him to the doctor to make his tummy feel better. I have a call in to the GI doc. I'll let you know when I find out any more details. Thanks again for all the prayers.

I'm glad that everyone was able to get some rest. I hope that the doctor has some answers for you guys. I thought about you guys a lot last night!

My youngest loves choo choos as well! He is 1 1/2. Have you ever been to the Strausburg Railway? We love it there! We have never been there when Thomas was there though, but I know Jay would love it!!! We usually have lunch or dinner on the train - it is a very relaxing and peaceful ride! Watch out for that gift shop - your daughter will find another 10 things to sleep with! :rotfl: We have also gone to the "Amaizing Maize" while we were there - and boy, is that a lot harder than it looks!!! They also have a wonderful farm-oriented play/hands-on area for kids! Hope you have a wonderful time!!!

Has anyone listened to Sara Evan's albums?

After Kellie Pickler sang suds in the bucket on AI I downloaded Sara's latest two albums and they're really good - just thought I'd recommend them...

There's a funny story too, when DH heard suds he said it reminded him of a song we heard on our last trip, I asked him for more details, lyrics etc but he couldn't remember anything... so anyway I'm driving to work listening to Sara Evans for the first time and I hear this track, real fine place, and I realise I'm singing along... even though this is my first listen... I figure I must have heard in on tv but couldn't find anything on google, so I played it to DH... and it was the song from holiday!

If you've not heard her stuff before check it out :goodvibes:

Clare - I love Sara Evans, and discovered her not long ago myself! I knew some of her songs from the radio, but got hooked when a local band covered her song, "Perfect", one evening.

Her music is generally fun, upbeat, and she seems like she has a good head on her shoulders!

I diasgree, you don't deserve the worst Mom of the year award. You would deserve it if you would have completly blown the toothfairy fact away. No one's perfect everyone makes mistakes. You acted on your feet and you covered it up very well.

Perhaps now you will always have to put it on the vanity. :lmao:

Sending :grouphug: your way.

My first post was 2025 on the monster thread....took me forever to find it!! I was a lurker from the start.....just had to get the guts up to post and then I was sucked in!! I only had 65 posts on the first thread....this one I think I am over 500....I sure got chatty didn't I? :rotfl2:

Can I go over to her in a box first, as Pal Becky??? Can you imagine the cost of that? :rotfl2: I think I would be better off buying the plane ticket.

That sounds like a cool place. Where is that located?

It is located in Lancaster County, PA. So near Steffy and Tinker1bell and about an hour from me. Here is the website for the Strasburg Railroad.

They have lots of neat stuff there and do neat things like ride the train with the easter bunny or santa claus or they have Thomas there. I haven't been there in years, probably since lower elementary school grades or even before.

OK ladies, I need some help here. I'm trying to find a decent bag for our next Disney trip. I want something small, something that can hold a camera, water bottle, towel (don't laugh!) and park maps. Nothing major, since it will be going on rides with me! I really like the bags that cross the body.
I bought this one: http://www.ebags.com/ful/peabody_mini_sling/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=59966
but when I received it and tried it on...I just didn't like it. Too big for me, and the "girls" didn't like how wide the front strap was.
So I returned it. Here are my next two choices.
http://www.ebags.com/brooklyn_industries/mail_bag_small/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=66063 I really really like this bag. It's small, the strap is small enough to not bother the girls, and it looks like there is plenty of room inside to fit my needs.
Then I kept looking...that was my mistake. I found this one, and it's been recommended on the DIS in other threads. http://www.ebags.com/baggallini/mes..._nylon/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=18644 I'm thinking it might be too big, and when I look at some of the alternate photos, I don't know if I like how wide the strap is. I'm thinking it might be too big for me, but the organization of the bag just amazes me.

Help me pick! I hate buying and returning things, and loosing shipping each time!

I think you need to ask the Queen to custom design you a bag. I am sure someone has already posted this though. :rotfl2: :lmao:
