The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 5

Okay guys - I need some DCL advice.

DH and I are going to take the 4-night Wonder Cruise right after Thanksgiving in 07 for part of my belated 30th b-day trip. We've never cruised before!

Availability is pretty wide open right now, and we're wanting to book a Cat. 6 room (the deluxe stateroom with verandah). My options for a room coming up on the DCL site are 6076-6082, or the other side of the ship with 6576-6582.

Which should I go for? I've read some of the reviews here on the DIS but I just don't know. Do I want to be on the port side? Is there a better part of deck 6 I should be going for? HELP! :goodvibes

Dawn -

Amy tried to sell you out and made it sound like maybe you were not being nice about other people!!! I am glad you clarified

Julie - should we call the church?!?!
That's the way I read her post too! I think you two should call and report her!

ETA: To all of you innocent souls, Amy's not nearly as nice as she seems ;)

Well, you fall pretty high on my list. Everyone here does. I'd rate you as a better friend than most of my immediate neighbors. Even though you (and the rest of us) can be sarcastic, it's all in good fun, and I hope everyone knows that. It makes me feel more like a family here with the teasing! Another reason to love the DDA: more family than you can shake a stick at!

Shhhhhh! You aren't supposed to tell her that when others can hear you. It will ruin her image.

Will they be having a full day kindergarten or a half day kindergarten program? I'm guessing from this post it will be a full day but am not sure.

Becky

Full day. 7:40am to 2:20pm. Bus picks up at 7:05am so I really won't be able to stay up late every night. I'll have to start posting early with Tammi and Elin!

Kate, where are you? We're hitting a milestone, I'm taking (super friendly) jabs at you, and Amy's trying to pretend she's not mean. You're missing out on all the fun! :goodvibes

I was designing!! Some of us still do that around here!! :rolleyes1

Can I just tell you about our little drama since Friday? We're trying to teach the kids to wipe themselves after going to the bathroom. Davis needed to go Friday afternoon, so I told him to try to wipe himself, and when he was done I'd come check. Well, he calls me into the bathroom. He had used about 15 baby wipes and completely clogged the toilet. We tried everything to unclog it. So finally today I took the kids to Lowes and bought a powerful plunger and a toilet auger. After 3 hours tonight and slitting my arm wide open on the auger, I finally got in unclogged! the bathroom was a disaster, and it took DH and me another hour to clean it. But we saved a big Plumber bill. I was pretty proud of myself!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I've so been there. Jacob had the hardest time with this. He consistently used almost an entire roll of TP each time! He was terrified of getting any you know what on his hands.

I posted before I even saw that Tammi had also found it and you commented on it. It's funny how mine sounds like I'm quoting you two. :rotfl:

I think you mean Jennifer! ;)

Welcome home...how was your night?

Amy :)

I don't think there's enough blue in that to satisfy us anymore!

Hmmmm...it seems someone is following "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." :rotfl2:

Amy :)

All the way up to Northern, I kept hearing that girl from that movie saying "I'll neevvveerrrrr telllll!" I can't remember the name of the movie or the main actor but it was about a psychiatrist that has his daughter kidnapped and he is supposed to get some number from this psycho girl in the hospital.

Thanks for all the continued kind words about the outdoor fireplace! DH is mighty proud of building it, so I had to share it! I honestly don't know where he finds the energy to do such things. He works M-F 5am to 7pm (and sometimes later) and Saturday 5AM to 3pm. But building is his passion so he always finds the time! (Clare- we can cook marshmallows and hotdogs on it- but we haven't yet! It is a real wood burning fireplace with a gas starter.)

Easter was fun here! The Easter Bunny left tons of Easter eggs hidden around the house for Kyle- with matchbox cars inside. He loved it! He also got a Bob the Builder Talking Toolbelt, a Easter Book, some small outside trucks (for digging in the dirt!) and Toy Story and The Incredibles on DVD (Easter Bunny was also trying to fulfill her Disney Movie Club Commitment!). We went to the IL's for dinner and he got tons more stuff there (It was almost as bad as Christmas :sad2: )- including a big semi-trailer carrying case filled with more matchbox cars!

MIL, SIL and I sat down and went through our trip plans so I can make our ADR's next month. I showed them our plan and they built their plans around it. We are trying to eat together for 4 meals. Has any one ever had a problem making ADR's for 8 people? HDDR said we will have to be at 2 tables of 4 :confused3 and I am wondering if we will have the same problem at CP, 1900 PF dinner and Chef Mickey's?

And lastly, I highly recommend the Jergens Natural Glow lotion to all you fellow "whitest-woman-in America" girls. Today was day 4 and I can really see the difference!!

I think that is all! Hope everyone is having a great day!

I believe a lot of places will suggest two 4 tops, but together.... CRT had a table long enough for 8 of us... Chef Mickey will probably do 2 4's.... 1900 has a few large tables.... CP we had this round table in the back in a corner. We made all of our ressies at 6:59 am...... 90 days ahead. Now it should be 180 days ahead....

Oh my! I am sorry you had to go through all that, but glad to hear is all worked out.

And Beth is usually in there too.

Then we can give those late nighters bunches of pages to get through.

I saw that - I think we might all need to stop hanging around together as we seem to be morphing into the collective!!

What's this finally business? Didn't you get 9000 the first time around? Don't try to make excuses for your sarcasm!

Hmmm...I think I've been accusing the wrong person of having manilla folders on us all! :teeth:
