We colored our Easter eggs tonight

Nick colored one it cracked when he dropped it into the glass - I guess throw would be a better description than dropped!!

when he pulled it out he got this look of wonder and surprise on his face and said

"Ducky coming out - Ducky coming out!!!!" :lmao: :lmao:

Poor little guy can't figure out where the duckies are now!!

Are the Ducky and the Turtle friends?:confused3

Oh that's our favorite, too!

"What do you want to do?"
"I don't care, what do you want to do"?
{repeat}

:rotfl:

That sounds like Steffy and I going to lunch. She says "so, where should we go for lunch? I reply giving one or two choices but I sometimes ask her where she wants to go to and I hardly ever get an answer. :lmao: :lmao:

Sorry to hear about your knee, I hope you can quickly train it to stop misbehaving.

Talk about having a large variety of food. Here is our extensive list. This is short for my Mom normally we have a larger variety and more desserts.

Turkey, Ham, Potato Filling, Sweet Potatoes, Corn, green beans, broccoli with cheese, carrots, spinach dip with beer bread, Grand’s biscuits, honey lemon muffins, homemade strawberry jelly, homemade, apple butter, macaroni salad, cole slaw, pepper cabbage, deviled eggs, Jello eggs, Pink cement, turtle brownies, pineapple sour cream pie, rice krispy treats, cheesecake, peanut butter pie, angel food cake, sugar cookies, peanut butter eggs, cherry cream eggs, coconut cream eggs and butter cream eggs. I think that covers everything.

She always sends everyone home with leftovers and also takes some to the one neighbor whose wife died about a year ago.

I went to 8am church, than I helped my Mom get lunch together for the 15 people she was hosting. We ate lunch around 12:45, played some card games, watched Narnia and Toy Story 2 with my Mom’s friend’s kids. Somewhere in the we had dessert, it is separated from the meal so that we can actually eat it. I took my grandmother back to her nursing home and had dinner. I attempted to nap and then I went to work and I just got back from work.

Becky

Oh man, that all sounds SOO good! You all are making me so hungry this morning!! I do have to ask though...what is pink cement?

Tia,

Thanks for the reminder about Half.com. I just got the DVD (just the single disk) for $11 including shipping from a buyer with 99.7% positive feedback. I appreciate the help. Between the stroller and this, you're really helping me spend my money!

Better you than me! Though, I do need to get over there and order my stroller so I shouldn't speak too quickly!

I'm trying to catch up, 10 pages posted since I went to bed last night at midnight :smooth: I'm reading more "turtle" talk and on Chicken Little (The Easter Bunny brought it to Colby) he pushed the button to cross the road and a turle appears. I certainly wouldn't want that around here. Everytime the ok for turtle to cross would appear I'm sure someone would get ideas :rolleyes2 .

Happy Easter

My Mom is still sick so it looks like I've got to get some extra cooking done :guilty: She is all sad because she hasn't seen the boys since Monday. She usually sees them just about everyday and now she can't spend Easter with them. I just email her some pictures from this morning so hopefully that will cheer he up.

Deb

I hope your momis feeling better very soon.

Ohhhhh!! dear....that sounds painful. We are Colorado Rockies fans here...Todd Helton is my favorite player. The team is so young it is often called Todd and the toddlers!!

While we are on baseballl....I am sneaky :teeth: .....Abi will be singing(with her school's choir) America the Beautiful before the Rockies game tomorrow night! She got a special invitation as she is not in choir this semester. I sang in a choir last year the anthem but I think I am more excited about Abi singing at a baseball game!!

That's way cool, congrats :cheer2:

Plastic eggs  What's that all about? Ours are hollow chocolate and there's usually sweets or a toy in the box too.

This reminds me of German Kinder-eggs they are the same idea.

If you have a minute, we could use some pixie dust for our mortgage process. I don't know if there's anything wrong, it's just taking a REALLY long time. And I realize that they do take time. I'm just a little nervous because we aren't getting a traditional mortgage. We're trying to get a 'doctor loan' (sounds shady, but I promise it's a real thing :rotfl: ) that has all sorts of certain criteria -- no PMI, not taking deferred student loans into consideration (which is HUGE for residents whose loans are more than they'll make during their entire residency), little to no down but with a good rate still, etc. Basically a loan taking your future income/debt ratio into consideration rather than your current situation.

I don't know, there's a list of like 20 things that we are supposed to look for, and we had very little luck with it around here. There is one company in the area that does it, and the rest are online (which I am less comfortable with). If this company doesn't make it work, I'm not sure where to look. :confused3 And we don't feel like we have a lot of time. God help any students moving out of their city, this is hard enough while staying IN town!

Have a fantastic day! :goodvibes

:wizard: :wizard: Here you go - buying a house is always stressful - hope you get the loan sorted :wizard:

And yes the boards are suddenly running realllllly sloooooooooow...

Robyn- I am glad to hear you would rather be in my company than your SIL. I am a bit me-istic you know. So to be around me make you a better person.[/size]

As far as the base your SIL will be stationed at, I am not sure why she can’t tell you the base, but whatever. I don’t think the base is a secret (not to be confused with the secret I have and am not telling you all), it would be her job that would be secret. Usually when we are not allowed to tell where we are going, it has to do with locations that are not well known, but to be stationed someplace for a few years is not a normal secret thing.

I found four Air Force bases in England. You can google them and try to figure out where they might go. And if you do go visit Clare, then you might have time to stop in and visit you family as well.

RAF Alconbury
RAF Croughton
RAF Mildenhall
RAF Lakenheath

Out of those bases I can tell you which one it probably isn't, unless it's changed missions, that RAF Croughton.....that is where my dad was stationed and I worked when I was HS in the Public Relations Office. I am betting she will be stationed at Mildenhall and I think your sister thinks to highly of herself if you can't know the base....geesh!!

Let me share my day.....

We planned for 9 for dinner. Eight plates and an infant... The table was set. The food was finished. I had to make two Wal Mart runs as my son-in-law needed more cheese for the mac and cheese and brown sugar for the sweet potatoes.... The food was delicous!

My son and his wife drove up and I had lots of 'smell the baby's head time'...  They dressed him in his Eagles onesie and a "going to grandma's" bib. So cute..

My son-in-law's family showed up with an additional 7 people..... : :rolleyes1

You know, we didn't miss a beat. Pulled out paper plates, plastic forks (I so love that my daughter always has them on hand) and we just had a ball.

Nanny T hid eggs in our backyard and the kids ran around and found them...My granddaughter found my Disney easter egg decorating kit (I'm still unpacking from the move...long story) and we blew the yolks out of 3 eggs. She gave 2 to her cousins. We couldn't find the vinegar until after the kids left, so the eggs color wasn't very deep. But we put glue on and beads. They had a ball...

Then we made cupcakes. Nothing as elaborate as y'all. I'm just not that talented. But they were cute and I used Sponge Bob Squarepants muffin liners and my grandson loved them.

This is why we bought this house. The kids had a ball in the back yard. The inlaws had a place to smoke :smokin: We had 16 people when we expected 9 and it was no big deal. Just pull up a chair or sit on the sofa and pull up a tv tray or sit on the deck and take your plate and smoke.... There was still plenty of food, some had plates of food to take with, so my DSIL cooked enough.... Everybody gets along, and it is so nice that my DSIL has so much family right near us.

It was such a good holiday. I am blessed. :cloud9: :cloud9:

Oh Steffy,

Your house was made for that kind of day. :grouphug: :grouphug:
