More :grouphug: for Brantley Kate, and here's some for Davis too :grouphug: .

Oh and can't forget mom and dad :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: .

I'll think about you Saturday. We're going out to celebrate our 11th anniversary as well :goodvibes

Happy Anniversary to you too! Isn't yours actually on April 8? Have a good time.

I was afraid no one wanted to discuss it. I don't either :teeth:

Brian wants me to get the tubal ligation during my c-section. I'm not so sure because I only know 2 people that have had it done and both had severe problems after. One ended up having a hysterectomy 6 months later, the other just has more female problems (I'll leave it at that in case they guys are reading).

Brian was going to have a V until the Dr. said definitely a repeat c-section. He thinks he's too old to have anymore kids. I'm not sure I want to stop at 2. I figure if I make him take care of it, he never will and there may be a chance of another.

Anyway, any advice? Have you had any problems?

I had a long recovery because I had been on hospital bedrest for 12 weeks and was very sick with pre-eclampsia, diabetes, pre-term labor, etc, etc. As far as the tubal, I've not had any problems and it was very easy. My best friend had a tubal with her 5th child last summer during her c-section, and she did great. (She has bbg triplets who are 5, a 3 year old DD, and an almost 1 DS).

Denise,
I'm glad you feel good about your decision now. Rees has been through so much and that family time will mean so much whether it's in October or December :goodvibes .

Lots of :grouphug: to our little man Rees.

And John is so awesome. He said, $250 to change tickets and losing the free dining is not even worth mentioning if it is better for Rees. What a great husband and daddy!

Denise;

:wizard: Hopefully everybody feels better really soon!!! Poor babies!!! I hate it when my kids are sick, but sometimes I enjoy just holding them and snuggling w/ them when they are, because it doesn't happen all that often when they are not sick!!!!

I can totally relate to your stress!!! Some days I feel like saying why me, I can't handle all of this!!! Most days though I just appreciate all of the joy that Kyle has brought into my life and see what he goes through on a daily basis and it puts things into perspective!!! I know Rees' problems are much more stressful than Kyle's and it sounds like you have a ton on your plate everyday. But just remember that God gives you no more than you can handle, and it sounds like you can handle a lot!!! We are always here for you and I know I speak for everyone when I say that you are one TERRIFIC MOM!!!

I am now stepping off of my soap box!!!Sorry!!!

I think that you have made the best decision in the long run, but like others have said, wait a few days to cancel the ressie!!!

Take Care & I Hope Everybody Gets Well Soon!!!

Julie :)

Thanks, Julie! I know you KNOW exactly what I face. Having a child who faces obstacles that other kids don't can be so hard as a parent, but these children are such miracles and blessings in our lives. I wouldn't trade one minute of ANY of it for all the money in the world. Rees is perfect in God's eyes, and in mine and John's. He is the most wonderful, happy, rambunctious, amazing gift.

Denise, I hope all the kiddos manage to rest tonight, so you can rest too! Sending lots of :grouphug: and :wizard: that everyone feels better soon!

Amy :)

Thanks. John just brought home Uno Pizzeria Pizza that I baked. It's a Chicago restaurant. Anyone been to one? Anyway, we're about to have pizza, salad, and I'm having a beer (or two or three). and then I'm headed to bed to watch TV and fall asleep.

Try to relax tonight, snuggle up with your family, and thank God for all of life's little miracles. :goodvibes

We have Uno's here and it is yummy!

Tough one...I have thought about it myself...but I am just not ready to completely close down the factory.....of course recently Ithought I was pregnant (not trying to be either) and Bill had a mini breakdown...practically had to give him CPR!!! So I guess I need to decide something, and soon!

How about taking the pill for a while until you are sure.

I was scheduled to have a tubal after the birth of my 2cd ds, but I had to have an emergency c-section & the Dr wanted to wait. I had my tubal 7 weeks later & woke up to find out that my right ovary had been removed :scared1: I had no problems from the tubal at all. I have since then had a hysterectomy, but this had nothing to do with the tubal. My hysterectomy stemmed from years of having problems, even before I had my children. Good luck with your decsion!

Morning, everyone. Yes, it is early and I haven't had any sleep. Quit DISing, and 30 minutes later BK was up. Then Rees... then Davis... then BK again... Now they're asleep and I'm wide awake. So, I figured I'd DIS again.

Oh, and the fact that I'm having an absolute panic attack over changing to Sept and the kids missing 5 days of school is NOT helping... I really am freaking out. Should I switch it back to December so they don't miss any school? Geez, I'm so wishy washy. I wish someone else could make these decisions.

Ooh, an old Humphrey Bogart movie just came on TV. At least I have something to watch now.

I'll make the decision! Keep September. You have Rees' therapists (? was that it?) on your side with a note and they'll be fine missing a little kindergarten. There's nothing that can't be caught up through most of the school, I think. Heck, I skipped a week of law school because I felt that early Feb would be best for my sister's first trip at 5yo. I really think this will be best for your all! (Minus missing the decorations of course. :( )

How can I make this my avitar?

I have no photo editing progams except Microsoft Picture It Premium...and even then that's more for digitals...

DH has an appointment this month for one -

here is my take on it - it is an out patient procedure - low risk - and will cost us the $15 office co-pay

after I had two c-sections - this is the least he can do!!
That's what I keep telling him, but he keeps saying I have to have the section so why not do it while he's already "in there".

I just don't know that I'm ready to do it. I keep telling him that I might want to have kids with my next husband (j/k).

Yes. We haven't had an adult night out since our last anniversary so I'm really looking forward to it. Y'all have fun too! Drink some wine for me.

I'll chime in on the tubal ligation question.....but please don't think I have 3 heads instead of one. (That's the way people look at you when you tell them you don't have kids & aren't planning on having any :rotfl2: ).

I didn't of course have mine done in combo with having a baby, but I had my tubes tied January a year ago & apart from the discomfort associated with having any type of surgery, I can't complain. I have had no complications. I was sore esp. the belly button area (because that is where pants hit mostly) for about a week but other than that I took a few pain pills the first day or two & I was good to go. We talked long & hard about it & my husband said he would get the big V, but he had a hernia repair about 3 1/2 years ago & wouldn't really rest like he should & ended up tearing a stitch. So, I decided since he is a non-compliant patient that I would be the one to do it....since being the good nurse that I am, I will rest when told to do so & not over exert myself. :teeth:

That's my 2 cents.

I have a terrible time keeping up with this thread with work etc, but I try to read a little bit every day to keep up with how people are. I don't chime in as much as I used to, because I am not always sure what it going on.

Hi everybody :wave2: .

I didn't log in for 2 days and you did 1000 posts!!!!! I may never catch up!! I am back on 1074 trying to catch up.

But- here's my good news as to why I was away-
Check out my new car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

qx56.jpg

Apparantly all my "charm" ;) worked out after all! (Just not for a free dining trip in the fall!) DH felt bad about having to turn it down after all so this was my "consolation" prize. :rotfl2:

I would post a real picture of it on my driveway, but it is starting to drizzle and I don't want to get it wet  It is silver like this picture, though.

If the car doesn't come with a character meal, Wishes, and a Dole Whip, you can keep it... I'M GOIN" TO DISNEYWORLD (and I didn't even win the Super Bowl)

Yes, you are correct. Rees got very sick at the end of our trip due to too much stress on his little body. I talked to his therapists and Pediatrician about it today, and they all said December is the best for him. Also, Rees is refluxing again (he had HORRIBLE GERD as a small child and was hospitalized for months at a time, was on feeding tubes, didn't eat anything orally, had to have a major surgery called a Nissen Fundoplication). Well, the Ped is sending us to the GI doc in 2 weeks cause he thinks the Fundo has loosened up. That surgery is MAJOR, MAJOR, MAJOR. Rees was in the hospital for a week and 2 weeks recovery at home. It would require him to get a feeding tube again.

Also he had surgery on his foot 15 months ago for a tendon release, and it is tight again. So that is definitely one major surgery and likely 2 within this year. He already misses so much school for being sick legitimately, that I can't afford for him to miss 5 days of school.

So good news is, I get to see you and Marti/Hunka/Matt at Disney~ That's a great reason to celebrate. Looks like we'll go Dec 15-22 or 23. My only problem now is the plane tickets.

So glad you are not confused anymore... We decided to to in Sept to take advantage of the free dining also, so I guess we will just wave as we fly over Atlanta again....

I'm just kidding :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

See you in December Fig Family
