Beautiful area, Paula. We drive through it every time we go back to visit our parents.

I have only spent about 365 days their, give or take a few. And that includes the few times I have been back. My Mom took my sis and I to California in 1970, my bio father was a bit on the interesting side you could say.

I was back a few years ago and it was very beautiful.

It sure does, It is actually called Twistee Treat. Here is the best picture I have of it. It is from when my Brownie troop went last spring. I cropped it so none of them are in the picture. I don't go very often as it is not an area I normally go except for Brownies.

The girls had a blast last year and the ice cream is good and inexpensive. Now I want a Peanut Butter cup Mr. Twistee. It is like a DQ Blizzard and oh so much better, since they use custard instead of plain old soft serve. :goodvibes

Becky

OHHHH so we're talking frozen custard here...now you've got my attention. In St. Louis it's Ted Drewes all the way!! So good and like Kate's place 10 windows can be open with lines 10 people deep all summer long, rain or shine. The traffice gets so crazy on weekends that there are a couple of police officers on hand to keep things moving. Their "thing" is that you can turn it upside down it's so thick.

Ok. Do you know if she found her size?

Do you all still have milk delivery over there??
We get milk delivered. It is hormone free. They do have glass bottles but we get the plastic gallons. We have a milk box on our porch but are always home when he delivers on Friday mornings. They also have eggs, cheese, yogart, ice cream, bacon, pizza....At least we always know we have milk in the house. Funny thing is Emma wouldn't drink milk on our last Disney trip. She said it tasted yucky.

ok I'm way back on page 947 and only here for 5 minutes so I've not read a post since yesterday tea time.

I just wanted to let you all know - if you don't already - that Glynis is safe and well! She took an unexpected trip to her mom's house to look after her while her dad went overseas. She said to tell you all that she misses you and will be back bright and early on Monday morning to catch up :goodvibes:

Now I'm back to bed as I still have the "lurgy"

Yeah! Thanks for the update on Glynis, Clare.

No for you...tell that lurgy to get away. Enough is enough I say. Of course, now you've had enough time to watch High School Musical a few times and working on building your knowledge up to Kate level. Are you ready to take her quiz now?

For herself?!?

I am not sure - I was going to try to pick some up this weekend but if you can find them for her just let me know!

She needs the multicolor in a 9

Ok, I'll check. Just to clarify...she did want the adult 9, correct?

That's a good point Tia - Kate can you send me the quiz please? :rolleyes1:

Speaking of...I need to go back and find that. Now that I've seen it I want to see how I do.

Hey Marti - how was your HP sauce? Did it taste different to the one you get over there?

Feel better!!

I'm coming to your house for breakfast, and congratulations on the weight loss. That is excellent!

I second Tammi's comments. You go, girl! Way to go, Elin! :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Sorry! Alyssa got into all the DVDs and she was screaming at me to put the Blues Clues one in. I couldn't really hear you either, so I'm assuming we both said "bye!" :teeth:

By the way, my daughter's latest thing is to call me "Amy" when she really wants my attention. I have no idea where she picked this up, because I rarely hear anyone, including Kevin, use my name. Has anyone else's toddler gone through this stage?

Amy :)
:rotfl2: Kyle does it too! He'll be upstairs in the playroom (I have it baby gated off since it is at the top of the stairs) and when he needs me he yells "Hey Kristin!"

Howdy...

I am exhausted....spending time with Bill's mother just sucks the life out of me!!

I ran a whole bunch of errands today...I found Julia's shoes.

In my running around I went 2 payless...neither has the multi-color adult shoes. They have pink & yellow swirl...or green & yellow swirl. They guy said the don't always get the same inventory as online...so if anyone sees the multi color adult size 9...let me know.

Do you guys think I should buy a park hopper non-expiration? I know the more days I get, the cheaper per day it is...what do you think?

Kristine

I just got here from reading it - and thought the exact same thing - excellent post Paula!

I'm gonna keep that thread live just to see if anyone else comes on trying to kill our pixie dust... I don't know... Mickey Mouse is just a college kid?? Cinderella is a waitress?? What is the world coming to? Can you please tell me why these people go to WDW? They've obviously mistaken it for UNiversal Studios :rolleyes1:

I pm'd one of the posters. She has had some bad experiences with adults pushing past kids so it left a sour taste. In that case, I agree with her 100%. Everyone should wait their turn. She has pm'd me back and says that the other posts had good points that Disney is for everyone. She definitely thinks that I should get my autographs while I'm there. When I get autographs on my own (when Becky isn't with me), I will make sure that a child isn't turned away. I know I will be back and can get it another time and I don't know the same for the child.

How many days will you be in the World this year, Kristine? It might almost be economical to get an AP (particularly if you don't need the Premium one with the water parks, PI, etc.).

To borrow from Clare's tag "blimey-you guys were hyper last night!!!!!!!!!!!!" I timed out at 10pm and you guys were like the energizer bunny- you kept going and going :rotfl2:

I did not take notes, but here is what I remember:

Mystic Tan is wonderful, but there is definitely an art to "toweling" off. The airbrush tans are practically the same price (at least here in my area) so get the airbrush! As for the "whitest woman in America" I am a blonde haired, blue eyed Swede- I win!!!!!!!!

Vicki- I missed the autograph thread. I don't think it is wrong for adults to get them. :confused3 I never went to WDW as a kid- my 1st time was my honeymoon. I did not get autographs but I waited in more than my fair share of lines to get character pictures. Plus we ate a character breakfast 8 or so times in 14 days. :teeth:

As for the "bonding" issue I did not breastfeed (didn't want to) and Kyle spent both my hospital nights in the nursery. Actually he spent them at the nurses station because he was too fussy and kept waking up the other babies! We didn't know he was milk intolerant until day 2 of his life when we switched him to soy formula and he actually did what babies are supposed to do after they eat- sleep! Anyway, you always here about Daddy's little girl- well Kyle is definitely Mommy's little boy!!

Have a great day!
Kristin
