what part of new york are you in? i used to live in North Valley stream

We lived on Long Island all our lives - until we moved upstate about 15 months ago. Long Island is a nice place, but I love the Rochester area so much more!!

I dated a guy from N. Valley Stream and lived in Lynbrook for a while. Small world!!

Don't worry Julie - this is one of the years we did not get them - so I will be home tomorrow!!

I remember watching Sean get hit and it was a heart stopping moment! He is such a class act and I was really ticked that the Reds traded him - he was such a leader and positive force in the clubhouse and I really don't think they can ever replace him

I wonder how he and Ben are getting along now that they are teammates?!?

Don't you have them??!?!?!?! How would you know if severe weather was coming?!?!

The sound like a fog horn continuously blowing but they turn around as they blow so it has the same effect as a siren would

Maybe Ellen could help out here - but severe weather for us is snow and they don't blow any horns for that. But like I said, maybe its because we haven't been here long enough.

We don't have any kind of weather horns around here. We out in the country even though we live in a small town. We are very lucky that we have very very few tornadoes and I can only recall even hearing about one hurricane. The worst weather we get would be an occassional blizzard.

I worked in the city....between the commute, and dealing with the poeple in the city every day..I am glad I am back in IL.

I worked in the city....between the commute, and dealing with the poeple in the city every day..I am glad I am back in IL.

I did 8 years in Manhattan, two hours commute in and two hours commute home. My FIL did NYC for 41 years! God bless him!!

wow! I just can't imagine. I am not a small town girl by any means...but Manhattan about pushed me over the edge!

I can't fathom that either - DH used to drive at least an hour to work - and he was so crabby!!!! I can't imagine if he had a two hour commute!!!

There are things I miss about NYC - but I can visit! It was very tough, but it taught me many, many things!

And Kate - I liked the new designs. Do you ever sleep??

I've slept all day, and I'm not feeling better yet. All because I went out on Friday night. I swear I get sick at the drop of a hat!

I'm just going to jump in & update.
The G-Sale went GREAT.
Saturdays sales = 512.00
Sundays sales = 249.00
Total = 761.00
Ad - 18.00
Grand Total = $743.00

I wanted to get 2 little tv's for the bedrooms, end table, coffee table,
2 bar stools, 1 table lamp, & 1 floor lamp.
I have enought to get all.
I haven't touch any of my savings.
I'm so proud of myself.

I still have some very nice Disney stuff left over.
To nice just to go to the Goodwill.

XDH wants to have another 1 before we move.
I'm not sure??
Maybe, I really don't want to do E-bay.

Well I'm back on page 1020.
Going back to catch up.

I can't fathom that either - DH used to drive at least an hour to work - and he was so crabby!!!! I can't imagine if he had a two hour commute!!!

I worked an 8 hour day, but had 4 hours of commute time door to door - so I had a 12 hour day (without break downs etc). But I did this prior to having a family - I don't know that I could ever do it again!
