I just checked out my new reservation on line. It is listed as waterview even though we only paid for standard. Think that is a mistake? They won't come looking for more money, will they?

Also, there is no mention of the dining package. Should there be?

Hi All!

This is a quick, drive-by posting, so much to do - so little time!

I've tried to skim over the pages that I've missed, sorry if I forget some things!

Clare - the HP sauce is wonderful and I love the plastic bottle. SO much easier. The bottles in America are still glass. And the Curley Wurleys are GONE! That didn't take long.

We had our homemade version of a Dole Whip today - pineapple sherbet in pineapple juice. Let me tell you - I was impressed!!! Now if I could just do this with Chick Fil-A.......

Hi, Marti! And Hi to Paul and Matthew, too!

I went to a local ice cream shop for opening night last night. They have the Dole soft-serve. This week's flavor is mango, but next week is pineapple!!! It won't be as good as eating it in Disney...

I totally agree. That is one of the reasons we will homeschool. Too many schools have gotten crazy about some things lately, due in part at least, to No Child Left Behind, I know, but still. Family should always come first.
Tia we are also planning on homeschooling Olivia. This is one of many reasons we are planning on doing it.

Happy Anniversary Denise and John

Hope you had a great day and feel better soon.

My daughter had this sent to her and she forwarded it to my mother, my daughter & I. I'm sending it to all my DDA friends.

To realize

To realize the value of a sister
Ask someone who doesn't have one.

To realize the value of ten years:
Ask a newly divorced couple.

To realize the value of four years:
Ask a graduate.

To realize the value of one year:
Ask a student who has failed a final exam.

To realize the value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.

To realize the value of one month:
Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of one minute:
Ask a person who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize the value of one-second:
Ask a person who has survived an accident.

Time waits for no one.
Treasure every moment you have.

You will treasure it even more when
you can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of a friend or family member:
LOSE ONE.

The origin of this letter is unknown,
But it brings good luck to everyone who passes it on.

Do not keep this letter.

Send it to friends & family to whom you wish good luck
and don't forget the one who sent it to you!

Peace, love and prosperity to all!

Remember...
hold on tight to the ones you Love

I don't normally forward on e-mails that I receive (or post them). However, I got several this week that were just too good not to pass on. So here's another for my DDA friends.

A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked, "How heavy is this glass of water?" Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g. The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance. In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." He continued, "And that's the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on. As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden. So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can."

So, my friend, why not take a while to just simply RELAX. Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now. Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while. Life is short. Enjoy it! Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

* Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.

* Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
* Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
* Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.
* If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
* If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it
* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on.
* Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.
* Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late
* The second mouse gets the cheese.
* When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
* Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.
* You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.
* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
* A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
* We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

And here's the last one of the day from me:

Woman to Woman Encouragement

Someone will always be smarter. Their house will be bigger. They will drive a better car. Their children will do better in school. And their partners will fix more things around the house.

So let it go and love you and your circumstances. Think about it.
The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart. And the most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children. The richest woman you know - she's got the car, the house, the clothes - might be heartbreakingly lonely.

So, love you. Love who you are right now.
Tell yourself, "I am too blessed to be stressed."
Be blessed ladies and pass this on to encourage another woman.

"To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might be the world."

Send this to wonderful strong women you know.... I did!!

So I made the Strawberry Daiquiri Cake and it was delicious. I took it too my Aunt's and everyone devoured it. Thanks for the recipe Linzybrooke!

We made about 300+ easter eggs, a tradition that my Grandmother started long ago, out of potatoes, powdered sugar, butter and of course chocolate. We also made Peanut Butter and Coconut variations. Been a long day.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!

Well there was about 15 of us!! As for the eggs themselves, we mix the powdered sugar, cooked potatoes, butter all together, shape them into eggs and the hardened them in the refridgerator. Then dipped them in melted chocolate.
I heard my mom say that they used 36lbs of powdered sugar.

They are so yummy but not quite as good as my grandmother used to make. She is in a nursing home now so we have been doing this the past 3 years to keep the tradition alive. I don't know how she did it all by herself, but I do not think she made anywhere close to amount we have done. My mom and aunt just do not know when to stop! My aunt has over 25 Bundt pans and close to 700 cookbooks, clearly she has a problem!!

Just a reminder - don't forget to Spring Ahead tonight!

I've never heard of this. It sounds interesting and I'd love the recipe if anyone has it. Of course, I don't think I would make quite that many.:teeth:
