The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 31

Elizabeth,

I had all of the pins that I had gotten from Darlene in the envelope she sent to me in my carry on. No one said anything.

I don't think airLINES have different rules about prohibited items. I did look at the SW website and the TSA website and they don't say anything about "no lapel pins". If I can bring scissors with 4 inch metal blades I think I am good with the pins.:rotfl: (I can not, however, bring a Chinese throwing star. Wouldn't you think someone adept with a throwing star could throw a pair of scissors?)

Good luck with the airfare, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you :wizard:

I hope it works out, Jennifer!:wizard:

I just came back from Super Target. I got a ton of stuff to have for dinner. Or it felt like a ton of stuff. It is really only enough for 8 dinners, and we need to have 10 dinners before our trip. We'll probably get a Sam's rotisserie chicken one night and a pizza another night, so that makes 10.:)

Still plugging away at the laundry. I need to wash the bathroom rugs, the kitchen throw rug, and the foyer rug.

So it turns out Kyle can come with me on my trip. I would have bought airfare for him in an instant - even at risk of cancellation - if we would have thought there would be ANY chance. However, he never gets 2 days off in a row while on medicine in the winter, let alone 2 on a weekend AND the weekend I'm booked to travel. Now, of course airfare is completely prohibitive. :guilty: I know I'm nuts for complaining since I will be at WDW, but we NEVER get to see one another ... and I would almost just as soon not go at all than go knowing he could go if we could only find airfare. :guilty:

As I was typing my last reply, I got a ding -- and it included CMH to MCO! However, it looks like they are all past our dates now, and starting with travel beginning next week. I'm thinking the chances look slim, which makes me a little unsure about my trip.... :headache:

ETA: I'm sorry to complain when I know many of you want to go to WDW for the holidays. I'm sure I'm just hormonal or something, but I'm a complete mess about this stupid situation! Ugh!

Hope everything works out!

Debbie - I am glad you are feeling better! I hope you continue to feel well!
I didn't get the edible cellophane thing, either.:confused3 Why cover up the tree? But you know, there was a weird one when they did gingerbread haunted houses where the girl did a cave with all these elaborate rooms, then you couldn't see what was IN the rooms because she covered them up! It was very strange, and the judges told her it was strange.

Debbie...I don't recall sam-e having headaches as a side effect...have you recently changed anything else? Have you reduced you caffeine or sugar intake? You could try reducing the amount of sam-e to see how you do - 1/2 pill...maybe you are more sensitive...

Thanks for being sympathetic! :rotfl: I know it's silly, but it's driving me nuts. I want to be excited for this trip! I'm sure it's not helping that we've had the dreariest, rainiest day, and I've been so unproductive!

I'm off to A Christmas Carol... I wish this were snow instead of rain, to put me in a better mood! (I know, I'm going to take that statement back shortly. You have every right to remind me I uttered those words!) :rotfl:

Debbie, I hope your headache stays away! This article (while not all that helpful) does say headache can be a SE of the supplement. Be careful with supplements -- they scare me! People think because they are "natural" that they are harmless -- be sure and listen to your body and talk to a doctor if you think you need something else to help, that will be safe and monitored! I hope that you are able to find a dose of it that works for you, or something else to help lift your mood! :goodvibes My family and I have plenty of experience with all different levels of depression, etc and I know how frustrating (and sometimes downright debilitating!) it can be!

Sure is great to have a nurse in our midst, huh?

For myself and my father (who had debilitating arthritis..it worked well)...but as pointed out...be cautious!

Elizabeth...

you are soooo organized!! I find myself at the grocery store every other day...even with the automatic list generator thingy!:)

Thanks, when I read on the package that it was also good for arthritis I was pleased, as I think that is also part of the problem. My arthritis has been bothering me a lot lately, I'm not in extreme pain of anything, but hurting continuously is pretty depressing.

I'm definitely going to give it another try, because I definitely haven't felt this good emotionally in quite a while.

Thanks to everyone for their concern.

The first batch of cookies is out of the oven, I'll glaze and add the sugar sprinkles when they cool.

I'm not that organized.;) I usually don't make a list - I wander the aisles aimlessly until I see something we're out of. We just waste so much money on fast food when I don't have dinner on hand that I need to make an effort to shop every weekend. It also eliminates DH calling me EVERY day at 5 PM asking what he should make for dinner. If we have groceries he can work it out himself.

That's how my father was...constant pain really does bring you down, that's for sure.

I think you may just have to fool around with the dose until you find what works for you....

sending good vibes your way!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Bill could be sitting in the middle of a pile of groceries...still not sure he'd actually think of making something on his own

With our schedules if DH wants to eat he better cook something! I don't get off work until 6 PM, and DH has to be in bed no later than 8 PM. If he waited for me to get home and cook something he would be starved and sleep deprived! Besides, I don't cook.

We do one, but not the kind that has candy or gifts. Just one where you open up little windows and there are pictures behind them. I have a Disney one that we will be doing this year. I'm anxious to see what's behind all the windows.

We have 6 calendars this year. I'll take pictures of them and show you. We have to have one for everyone, so that all the kids (well, me and Alan, too) can do one each night. We have one that is a house with 24 doors. Inside each is a tiny ornament that we decorate a small tree with. We have one that is a felt Nativity scene. Each night we add another element to the scene. We also have one that I made that you untie a candy each night. Our neighbors made us one that you take a piece of hard candy off each night, and the last one is an archway with beads on one side. Each night you slide a bead to the other side. My kids love them and look forward to dinnertime each night when they can do them.

I've returned from shopping. I was quite successful. Due to all the talk of Panera recently, I had to stop there for dinner. I had the Cheddar & Broccoli soup with a Sierra Turkey sandwich. Yummy!

I saw a really cute nativity at the Disney Store. It had 24 drawers and each drawer has a little (about 1") Mickey head ornament. They are 50% off right now. I almost grabbed one. However, I don't really have anything to put it on. I was really tempted though.

All snowglobes were 50% off as well as all the Christmas stuff. However, I was able to maintain control and didn't pick up anything as there was nothing there that I really needed.

Hi all! I've been busy with Christmas preps, shopping, thinking about Christmas stuff, adding borders to my photopass photos......

I had a huge multi quote started last night but then we lost our electricity for a few hours this morning so I lost that. Let me see what I can remember.

Happy Birthday Nicholas!

Happy Birthday Emma!

How exciting that so many are heading to the happiest place on earth soon! Safe travels to all!!!

Jen-so happy to hear your cousin will be visiting soon!!!

Tammi-glad to hear the sleeep over went well.

Janet-congrats on the luggage, washer, & Richard Petty tickets. I think your DH will love Poly. The lounge is very casual and there is always the pool bar that is nice and the beach and its a nice walk over to the GF.

Vicki-stay safe. I'm sure your staff really appreciates your concern!

Kristine-like your new gadget!

Karen-:wizard: good luck with your surgery.

Robyn-hope things are less crazy for you now. I swear Lizzy & Joe each took a bit of my brain and Emma took a big huge chunk. I really miss the days when I could remember everything and was relatively smart. I'm not that way anymore. Loved your cup cakes!!!!

Elizabeth-tell DS that his face has to look better than the hair cut I gave myself (just my bangs). One of my "friends" at work told me I would have to tell everyone the kids did it to me in my sleep. I mananged to wear a hat into work and hide in my office for the last few days. See....I'm just not too smart anymore.:scared1: I think it will look OK for Joe's trip.

Your DH does need an extra battery for his camera.;) I wouldn't worry about the pins. Don't you just have to get past TSA? How would SW know you have pins in your bag?

Becky-love your TR and photos!

Jennifer(TX)-great Christmas photos. The girls are so beautiful!

Jennifer(OH)-good luck on airfare and on Wednesday! Cookies sound fun.

Deb-congrats on a great night at work! Good luck with the refinancing decision. I would 2nd Vicki's advice and say that you should go with a payment you can make without stretching and then you can pay extra when you can. Would love to see Colby's photo.

Debbie-hope you keep feeling better. Hope your cooking went well.

Tia-I saw a thing on TV about Branson and it looked beautiful for Christmas.

Theresa-hope Jim gets well soon!

:wizard: and  To everyone I missed.
