The exhibit opens next October. If you Google King Tut Dallas you can probably find where I signed up to get the e-mail for advance ticket purchases. It doesn't cost anything to sign up.
I think Eric and DH would get along swimmingly. Maybe we should leave them at home to play Wii while the rest of us go see Tut!
Mother just phoned and said they are going out to lunch and then they will be here. All of a sudden I feel like there is an axe embedded in my skull. We were JUST in the mall 10 minutes ago! The shops in that mall are WAAAAYYY too exclusive for my sister to be shopping in. She says she needs a dress for "winter formal" which she may or may not actually attend.

But I am sure she wants to get a dress here so she can go tell her classmates she went to DALLAS to buy her dress because the shops in Kansas just aren't good enough for her. She is quite an elitist for someone who is about 1 step away from being on welfare.
Mother believes that nobody should ever tell my sister "No" for any reason. Her father DIED, you know! My sister was the biggest manipulator when he was alive - she played both parents against each other until someone gave in to her whining. Now Mother is reinforcing the belief that my sister is entitled to anything she wants, regardless of whether it is practical and affordable. And I am the outcast.
My mother has a life insurance policy on me from when I was little. My father is the beneficiary. He's dead. Been dead for 18 months. I have asked my mother MULTIPLE times to let us take over the policy and name DH as beneficiary, but she keeps dragging her feet. She made a comment the other day that as long as she retains ownership of the policy she can be sure it is being paid!

EXCUSE ME? DH and I pay our life insurance bills JUST FINE, thank you! And all of our other bills, too, come to think of it! So what was that comment? Is she planning to hire a hit man so she can collect on the policy? She isn't even the beneficiary, so if I drop dead right now I don't see how that would be useful to her! Sometimes her behavior is so bizarre I just can't even begin to wrap my brain around it.
