Becky, I'm loving all your pictures. So many neat things to do on the cruise. Maybe, I'll have to convince Chuck that we should try it sometime. Though, I think he has already been thinking that by a comment he made the other day when we were reviewing the DVC paperwork.

Hope you enjoy your dinner at Bananas :rotfl:

:woohoo: for having the day off!

Or we hope you enjoy your banana dinner :rotfl: :rotfl: Perhaps by the end of Dinner you will go bananas?

Go bananas..go go bananas...
Peel bananas...peel peel bananas...
Eat Bananas...Eat Eat bananas...
Go bananas...go go bananas...

That was a boy scout cheer :rotfl:

Beautiful, I must copy ;)

The kids are watching Santa Claus 2 & giggling their heads off.
Dana went to bed, the poor guy is sick. He never has a minute to rest so I insisted ne try to get to bed early.

Maybe I need to send him to Disney alone to come back refreshed!!! ;)

Oh I forgot to say..Sophie was picked to be the lead angel at out Christmas pageant at church. She is soooo excited, she gets to sing.

:cool1: :cool1: Way to go Sophie

PS: My FIL apologized to DH

I'm glad that he came to his senses. :thumbsup2

How sad. Thanks for the update, Deb. How is she doing?

Jen is holding it together at the moment. She said she was glad to call as she needed a distraction for a minute or two

We've signed the DVC papers and they are winging their way back to Disney. I guess there is no turning back now!

:cool1: :cool1: Turning back? You are already talking adding points :lmao:

I'm making devilled eggs for Thanksgiving tomorrow and Chuck is making pumpkin & pecan pies. We are going to his brothers house. All Chuck's family will be there including all the kids (18-25) including Katrina and Becky. We all wanted to be together since we haven't been for several years. Everyone wants to see Chuck's dad.

My mother will be coming with us. She arrived tonight. She made banana bread for tomorrow. You don't get better than her banana bread. She uses a recipe from my dad's aunt.

My mom makes the best banana bread. I have the recipe, but it never tastes like Mom's does :lmao:

What a Day!!!

I worked tirelessly today to get my house together. I did it too :thumbsup2

Hunter stressed me this morning. Yesterday we cleaned up some misc stuff from his room. One item was a $20 Gift Certificate that a friend gave him for his birthday. I told him to put it away, but apparently I know nothing. He had a pile of stuff in the living room and a grocery bag with garbage items that we were tossing. Somehow after I left for work many of the items that were garbage ended up back on his desk and the gift certificate is missing. We searched high and low for over an hour. I went through every garbage in the house, jackets, pockets, backpacks and everywhere else I could think of, but we did not find it :confused3 I hope he learned his lesson.

I ordered a 1/2 sheet chocolate cake with white frosting and 24 mixed cupcakes. I was happy not to have to cook on top of everything else. I also came to the conclusion that I will not be hosting any Christmas parties here as I have in the past. I work too many nights to keep my house up and the stress of power cleaning isn't worth it. Since I have hosted our extended family Christmas here the last 2 years I did find that our Rec Hall in town is available for Christmas Eve for the mere price of $100. :thumbsup2 I'd say my mental health is worth it. My mother thinks that it is a great idea and she thinks that each family should contribute. I'll bring it up tomorrow and see if someone offers their house or if we'll go to the rec center. I though that we could each bring an ornament to decorate the tree then do a yankee swap kind of ornament exchange.

The party went well though hardly anyone showed up. My MIL did come and she was her usual PITA self. She complains about everything. She mentioned that she was going to Chris's sisters for Thanksgiving and I made the comment that we should crash it. Of course she said the we should, but never mentioned a time  She also commented that we have never invited her to Thanksgiving here, which is when I pointed out that I do not host Thanksgiving, but go where I am invited. Oh, Colby didn't recognize her when she arrived either. :rotfl: I told her she should come by more often to which she said the road goes both ways and Chris jumped in with the "we are not wecome at your house". She said that she never said that. Chris gave her the exact conversation and she changed her story to say that he BF has changed and we are welcome anytime  Of course her BF didn't come to our party and he is apparently taking a grinder sandwich to Thanksgiving dinner as he "doesn't eat turkey". Chris' mother used to have Thanksgiving dinner then stopped because her BF wanted the day to be just them. So why would we invite them to Thanksgiving dinner anyway :sad2: OK, you get the picture. I have to hide our Disney photos when we know that she is coming because she goes into overdrive on the You need to visit your grandmother speach. I think she forgets that he mother hates all the males in the family so I'm sure she wouldn't want to see us anyway.

I am so thankful of having you guys to keep me sane on days like this.

:cool1: :cool1: Turning back? You are already talking adding points :lmao:

Shhhhhhhhh! Chuck reads this thread sometimes. He doesn't know that I'm talking about adding points yet. I need him to come to that conclusion by himself. Or at least think he did? :rotfl: :rotfl2:

My mom makes the best banana bread. I have the recipe, but it never tastes like Mom's does :lmao:

My mom makes better banana bread than your mom! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Chuck is the only one I know that can make mom's banana bread and have it test as good as mom's. Others have tried but it just doesn't come out the same. Mine is close but doesn't quite make the grade.

I am so thankful of having you guys to keep me sane on days like this.

:grouphug: We are always here for you. I'm sorry that your MIL was as expected. I was hoping that maybe since she was coming, she would make an effort to be polite.

I love your idea for the Christmas party. So much easier just having it at the hall. I think the Yankee Ornament exchange is a neat idea. A way for everyone to get something without the stress of exchanging names and worrying whether you are getting the right gift.

So we watched the Disney Dreams show. It is about AnnMarie and Peter Pan Since the last time I saw it they had some new enhancements which were great

Deb- I am sorry your MIL is a PITA

We played Yahtzee, watched Santa Clause 2 and they are now watching Ratatouille. I stopped because it was confusing me.

It's been nice to have nothing to do.

We have decided to buy a sewing machine and there are 3 on sale for about the same price on Friday.

Walmart has a Singer basic as part of Doorbusters

Kmart has a Kenmore

and

Target has one.

If those of you who know something about sewing machines are looking through the Black Friday Ads...could you advise me on which one to try and get.

They all seem to be basic machines which is fine because it would be a machine to learn on...I am not going to be a Deb or my friend Beth right out the gate (Beth is a quilting artist...no other way to put it).

We went over to Rockin' Bar D and they were finishing up some activity, it was pretty funny
DSC00317.jpg

Then we watched Rich Purpura do his adult show it was hilarious
DSC00319.jpg

I got picked to select a bag for him to smash but the bottle was not under the bag I selected
DSC00323.jpg

He also did a funny thing with animal crackers, Harry Potter glasses and making the crackers disappear

People were starting to head out before the end of the show and they were given a hard time. Where where the heading? The Midnight dessert buffet.

Now you would have thought they starved us all week because of the long lines. Only I went inside Stephen did something else.

They had 2 long tables lined up in Lumiere's loaded with desserts and a white and dark chocolate fountain. I didn't line up and wait I came later so people had already made selections

DSC00330.jpg

There was fruit but I don't know if it was touched
DSC00331.jpg

There was an ice sculpture
DSC00332.jpg

Wine is for sale to go with your desserts
DSC00333.jpg

Lots of people waiting for the fountains

Once again I was not super thrilled with these desserts, at dinner they were better, they had some mousses that I ate that were really good but I am not a cake fan for the most part unless it is really good. I would have loved a pick cup full of chocolate from the fountain and fruit to dip instead of them dipping the pieces for you one at a time and putting them on a plate.

I headed back to the room with my plate of goodies. They did have the tables set but I took my food to my room where I found I think a turtle towel animal

We still did not know 100% if we were having parasailing on Friday at Castaway Cay we did not have tickets or any information. So I called guest services and then went down and picked up our tickets for parasailing.

I think I watched a movie on TV maybe Shrek 3 and then headed to bed.

Do we or do we not go parasailing? That is the question.

Thank you for reading and have a Happy Thanksgiving

Jen just called and she will be staying at the hospital along with her mother tonight. Her grandfather just had a seizure and his breathing is labored. They think that he will pass tonight and the family is praying for that at this point. He hasn't been conscious for any length of time since Sunday. She wanted everyone to know that she is ok and that your support means so much to her. She will update me with any changes later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the update!

Jen
, your family is in my prayers tonight especially!

Heidi and Elin -- I am sure the holiday season is especially hard for you without your loved ones to share it with. I hope you are able to look back on fond memories and enjoy the time with the rest of your family. I'll be thinking of you!

Thank you, Jennifer. And I, in turn, will be thinking of you. You have so many memories about to be made that it has to be such a "thankful" day for you all. Have fun letting your family know that they have so much to look forward to!
