Lindsay, I can't believe this trip with your cruise is finally here! You're going to have so much fun! :goodvibes

I'll come on tomorrow or Thursday to share how we're going to announce it... it's pretty lame, but I'm trying to put something together.

I'm so nervous about it! :confused3 :rotfl:

I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I got back from the u/s and went to our Blue Ash office, and as I walked in I found out we were in the midst of an unannounced state survey. Sweet. I already was going to wait until I got back to my office to post because it's a bit less out in the open, but I got stuck there muhc longer than I ever anticipated. Now I'm here, and can finally post!

It's all good news. We saw two beautiful blobs, both with nice flickering heartbeats! My RE was slow to congratulation and quick to remind me of the "vanishing twin syndrome" that is still a possibility. (Research shows that very likely, 1 in 8 or 1 in 10 pregnancies starts out as multiples, but before a normal pregnancy gets to u/s, the "extra" baby doesn't make it but is reabsorbed (as bad as that sounds) before anyone can tell the difference.

That being said, there is also a lot of data that says once a heartbeat is detected, the m/c rate drops quite a bit, so here's hoping I'm really going to have two babies!

Especially with this busy day at work, it's all very surreal and I have had about zero emotion about it. I feel less nervous, and that's about it. I'm sure it will hit me at some point!

Sorry to make you wait!
I'm so happy for you, Jennifer! Take care of yourself. Congratulations!!!

When did I become a Griswald?:headache:

I called my mother to see if she is on the road yet. Nope. She just picked up her rental car. (BUT she did get a rental car instead of making the trip in her rickety old car, so that's one good thing.)
My sister answered my mother's cell phone and asked me if Mother had asked me about keeping the guinea pig here in my house.:scared1: Apparently my sister has a guinea pig. Instead of finding someone to feed it while they are away they decided to BRING the poor thing and now they can't figure out what to do with it when they arrive. I am sure Arabella would LOVE to snack on a guinea pig, or at the very least tip over the cage and chase the pig around. I am not going to offer to put it in DS's room because 1) he has been sneezing to beat the band and 2) I shouldn't have to provide livestock lodging. The sister they are staying with said they can put the pig in the garage but I guess Mother decided it would be more comfortable here with ME! I told her no.

Let me just pop on down to the tattoo place so I can get a nice BIG "Bad Daughter" across my forehead.:sad2: That's what this will turn into, because I am always the bad daughter.

Lindsay - Ordinarily I would be happy to hyperventilate for you, but right now I am too busy stomping and muttering. ;) I know you'll pull it all together and have an amazing time!!:goodvibes

:rotfl: Oh come one, Elizabeth. Having a guinea pig for a few days might be fun. At least funny for us!! :rotfl:

This is the set I am looking at from Bagsbuy.com

It only comes in black though. I wish I had $200 or $300 to spend on luggage, but I just can't spend that right now. This set with the 20% off is $80.00.

Janet, I would suggest buying hard-sided luggage if you can. With the way the handlers throw stuff around, it will hold up much better.

I have a better idea! YOU keep the pig at YOUR house! I have your address. Mother can swing by there on her way. Kansas to Virginia to Texas isn't really out of the way. (Especially if you use Mother-logic.) I'll go call her back.;)

That is what Gary's mom has. It is so heavy though, I would have to pack very carefully lol

I am on a tight budget at the moment, so I am going to have to go cheap. Gotta have my money for Disney lol

I don't know if I should laugh or cry over this one! I can't believe that they would do this to you like this on their way and why in the world did they think if your sister will allow it in the garage, that you'd allow it in the house? :grouphug:

Ok, but does it have to be alive when I give it back??? :lmao:

Our new set of DVC contracts came today. We are signing them now. We'll go get the one notarized in the morning and send them back out.

Thank you Elizabeth! I had looked here earlier but did not see this set.

Janet - How about something like this?
http://www.overstock.com/Clothing/Travelers-Choice-Voyager-3-piece-Luggage-Set/1736957/product.html

The smallest bag in that 4 pc. set won't hold much, so maybe it's better to go with 3 pcs. that are more practical. Our one set has a little bag like that but it has a retractable handle. Most of the interior of the bag is taken up by the frame of the handle so nothing fits in there!

Hey look! I finished decorating for Christmas!

In my signature anyway...... :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I'm off to try and make it through a shower and actually get ready to go out for a bite to eat and "drinks" with coworkers for someone's last day. I swore I'd be there, but now I'm regretting it. I plan on getting there around 8 -- which is usually my bedtime these days! :rotfl:

DH and I are asking ourselves that very question right now.

The thing is, she was griping about my sister's house being about 100 miles away and how she didn't want to drive ALL the way over here and then drive ALL the way back over there to spend the night. That was when we were discussing what day she was going to see us. Wednesday and Saturday are the only days she has "available". So I told her I preferred to see her Wednesday since we're having breakfast and seeing "Enchanted" with the uncles on Saturday. She complained some more about driving ALL the way over here and ALL the way back to my sister's. Hello? She has to drive ALL the way back to KANSAS! And she has to pretty much go north past where my sister lives to get back to Kansas. I guess maybe we are supposed to invite them to spend the night here either Wednesday or Saturday? I already specifically told her she is NOT to show up here at 2 AM tomorrow, but I have a feeling that was her plan. Drive straight here, give me the pig, then go to my sister's house either Wed. PM or Thur. AM.

DH has a crazy day tomorrow so when he gets home we'll (DS and me) need to go out somewhere so he can rest between shifts. Mother likes to park herself at our kitchen table and just stay there, but she doesn't like to be told that she has to be quiet so DH can sleep. That was the big issue last time.

If I have the pig she will have to make the drive to my house TWICE during her stay, which I thought was a BIG problem. Unless she abandons the pig here like she did with the goldfish. But DS likes the fish so that worked out OK.;)
