Yay for Emma! I'm glad that Lucy seems better, too.

Robyn - Good news all around! DS would be so interested in watching the autistic kid he wouldn't ever get anything else done! Emma's powers of concentration must be intense!:thumbsup2

How cute!

Lots of cute ornaments!

Dana had the day off today so we went out for lunch. I had plans to get alot done today as far as holiday shopping but didn't get much accomplished. I feel like I am coming down with something & am headed to bed. I hate the cold!

Feel better, Anne Marie!:wizard:

It's time to go bake cornbread for Miles' class, make sandwiches for our preschool Family Feast, prep preschool project for tomorrow, and finish laminating placemats for preschool. And hopefully watch some tv with dh.

Have a good night!

Beth, you make me tired. I like cornbread, but we don't make it very often. I hope you get it all finished and have time to watch some TV!

Glynis,

  :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to you and your family.

97 years, wow I imagine your grandmother had a lot of stories to tell when she was younger. She finally had the last word when he picked her up!!!

I was just reading that they announced the performers for the Epcot flower concert. Below will be there when we are..
April 24-26 The Ventures
April 27-30 B. J. Thomas

Only problem is..I don't know who they are? :confused3

Glad to hear Lucy was more comfortable to day!

Emma sounds like such a sweetheart, what a wonderful daughter you have :goodvibes

Lucy seems relatively comfortable. She hasn't fussed much at all today and slept pretty good.

We just got back from Emma's conference and her teacher had nothing but positive things to say. She is reading above grade level. She is always helpful, the mother hen of the class and that the other kids love to have her read to them. I got to visit her classroom last week and she sits next to a little boy who is autistic. I mentioned to her teacher that it amazed me how undistracted Emma is by all that he does. He is in constant motion. She felt a little guilty as she said Emma has been sitting next to him for a while but Emma can maintain her work and also helps keep this boy on track. I know Emma sat next to him in 1st grade as well but we've talked about it and Emma likes it that way. We agreed that as long as Emma doesn't have a problem getting her work done that it's ok. We are thrilled with her progress.

My father used to have albums by The Ventures, but I can't say I know what their music is like. I can picture B.J. Thomas - longish, wavy hair and a face that is lined and tanned like he spends too much time in the sun. But I don't know his music, either. I think they are both late 60's early 70's performers. (Which is when they were popular. But I supposed that could also be how old they are now.):lmao:

Janet- thanks for the ornament!! I love it...the extras are great also.

How much do I owe you for the duckie??

That is great news. I must say, from the short time that I spent with her in Baltimore, she seemed very advanced for her age. Mature as well!

Thank you Anne Marie! I was hoping to hear someone had done this. I will definetly wrap them in something if this it what we decide to do :thumbsup2

Well the last 2 August trips I packed a suitcase full of bottled water & check it. After it was empty I filled it with soveniers! Maybe put the bottles in plastic bags in case one breaks or due to the pressure.

Sometimes being a parents stinks the big one:headache:

Got Abi's progress reports...she is getting A's except in Science and Math (taught by the same teacher)....the reason she has a B and C in those classes??? Not turning in work:mad: I took a page out of Elizabeth's book and she gets to turn in the work...even though it won't be graded. She looked so forlorn in giving me the progress reports but it's her own darn fault!!

Bernadette hope you are feeling better tomorrow :wizard:

Oh no! Hope you feel better soon as well :wizard:

Hope you find some time to rest in there!

Only when they want to be! That is how we got talking about it. She is easily distracted at home and I said it frustrated me because if she can sit next to him for 6 hours a day and stay on task and help him on top of it then she has us snowed!

Glad to hear Lucy was more comfortable to day!

Thanks, Janet! :goodvibes

Last year, the little boy gave Emma a Valentine's gift. At first, I had no idea and was sort of shocked (box of chocolates, a stuff animal and a real valentine card) but I found out from the little boys mom that he wanted to do something special for Emma since she was so nice to him.

That is great news. I must say, from the short time that I spent with her in Baltimore, she seemed very advanced for her age. Mature as well!

Thanks Tammi! Boy did she snow you ;) :goodvibes I know I am really hard on her and I forget sometimes how lucky we are. She really is quite the pet of the school.
