Jennifer-I can't wait to hear we are going to be aunties (and uncle) again!!:goodvibes

Lucy seems relatively comfortable. She hasn't fussed much at all today and slept pretty good.

We just got back from Emma's conference and her teacher had nothing but positive things to say. She is reading above grade level. She is always helpful, the mother hen of the class and that the other kids love to have her read to them. I got to visit her classroom last week and she sits next to a little boy who is autistic. I mentioned to her teacher that it amazed me how undistracted Emma is by all that he does. He is in constant motion. She felt a little guilty as she said Emma has been sitting next to him for a while but Emma can maintain her work and also helps keep this boy on track. I know Emma sat next to him in 1st grade as well but we've talked about it and Emma likes it that way. We agreed that as long as Emma doesn't have a problem getting her work done that it's ok. We are thrilled with her progress.

Hold on to your hats when I tell ya this one . . . . . .

We're talking about staying off property on our next trip, and adding in Universal and Sea World!!!!

Our next trip will probably be a trip for the whole family, at least six of us, possibly seven, and we are looking into renting a private home for a week, which we could do for under $1000. Has anyone ever done this?

We've never done a home, but we have stayed off property several times at my parents time share. I love the convenience of having a kitchen and a washer/dryer. The drive isn't bad and often easier and quicker than the buses. I think it sounds like a lot of fun to rent a house for a group like that!

Olivia has a package to pick u at the post office I assume that is probably the one from Theresa.

I'm off for the night, as far as I know. I finally tried to start "decorating" yesterday, although all I accomplished was pulling all of the (many!) boxes up from the basement. Today, I thought I'd finish. Well, I have, um, emptied the boxes! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Our mantle looks about right, and I have a few things put out that were easy to do (read: I remember where the heck they went, or at least found a comparable spot!)

I'm absolutely exhausted though.... tomorrow is the ultrasound! It better give me a darn good reason (or 2! ;)) for not being able to accomplish squat anymore! :rotfl:

I'll try to post fairly quickly after the u/s. I appreciate your prayers... I'm getting awfully anxious!

Have a wonderful night, DDA!

You have been in my prayers and will continue to be. I can't wait to hear the results of the ultrasound tomorrow.

Congratulations on getting the decorating started.

Please tell me if this is a crazy Idea  I was going to place an order with Garden Grocer. With Staples having free shipping I am going to order the water through them(worked great for the Oct. trip!). I will buy milk at the resort, so that leaves Gary's Mt. Dew. I was thinking of putting his soda in a smaller piece of luggage & checking it. Then I could use that extra piece of luggage for the trip home for our Christmas decorations & any extra items I may have accumulated. I plan on shipping our decorations before we leave, so this would eliminate having to ship it back home. So what do you think?
Well the last 2 August trips I packed a suitcase full of bottled water & check it. After it was empty I filled it with soveniers! Maybe put the bottles in plastic bags in case one breaks or due to the pressure.

I just got off the phone with Amex. I got my statement today and they still hadn't transfered any points. I called and they said they didn't have my JetBlue TrueBlue number. I said it was on the application and why hadn't they asked me for it the last 3 months that I've called. She said she'd take it and my points would be transferred in 6 to 8 weeks.:headache: I asked for a supervisor who put me on hold forever but eventually transfered my 72 points. It only takes 100 for a free roundtrip ticket. With the awards points from flying they issued an award voucher-that I have to use by 11/20/08 and I still have a balance of 40 points. I should earn enough on my Jan & May flights and any new purchases so that I can have another free ticket for our August trip.

The nice thing is that the awards tickets are not really a round trip ticket but rather 2 one way tickets so you can pick the more expensive leg to use the award vouchers on.

Hopefully using the award vouchers will be as easy as it seems.
Wow, what a PITA you have to go through! Good thing you follow up with calls & stay firm. Congrats on the free flights!

Thanks Theresa!!!

Emma,:dance3: :yay: :cheer2: :thumbsup2 Way to go!!!!!

I was hoping to do some more on my TR but I really need to go to bed. I was real achey all day so I'm thinking I may have more than an old cold.

I promised a neighbor that I would take her to an early train in the morning so I have to leave the house about 2 hours earlier than I normally would. So going to bed early is a good idea.

I hope you feel better soon!

It's time to go bake cornbread for Miles' class, make sandwiches for our preschool Family Feast, prep preschool project for tomorrow, and finish laminating placemats for preschool. And hopefully watch some tv with dh.

Have a good night!

Good luck tomorrow, Jennifer!! I can't wait to hear the results.

Me, too!

Ehhhh. I have put a bottle of carbonated water in a checked bag before and it was fine, but that might have just been lucky! (I wasn't thinking when I stuck it in there.) I would be worried that the pressure would make it explode. And like Bernadette said, if it leaks it will make everything around it sticky. I wouldn't do it, but since my stuff won't be in the cargo hold of your plane I guess you can try it!:rotfl2:

Feel better, Bernadette! I think your crew moves too slow to be in an offsite house. You guys would never make it to the parks!:rotfl:

DS is coming down with my cold now. Better now than 3 weeks from now. Momboss said I should be off by about 2 PM tomorrow so I can come home and take a nap. I dozed on the sofa for a bit this afternoon while Princess was napping - I just couldn't seem to stay awake!

Emma,:dance3: :yay: :cheer2: :thumbsup2 Way to go!!!!!

Thanks Anne Marie!!

I hope you feel better soon!

I missed that when I read your post, so I'll ditto Beth's!!

Yay for Emma! I'm glad that Lucy seems better, too.
