I've been so busy I forgot to say that I've received my ornament exchange from Elin. It is beautiful. I'll post pictures when I get the time (if all goes well that may be before Thanksgiving ).

Speaking of forgetting...I keep meaning to ask you for your recipe for white chili. I'm thinking that you had one your girls really liked? My mom has been wanting some and the beans that had a good recipe last year have changed their label. Thanks!

We met with the pastor at church for Lucy's baby dedication service. This was the first time we've talked since we switched churches. My childhood church has grown so large recently that you feel lost within it and I just haven't felt too at home there. Anyway, he was nice and he was very supportive of our mixed faith household.

I am sure the service will be terrific!

Good night, everyone! I'm fighting a terrible cold now, and just took some nighttime cold medicine. Before my keyboard starts getting fuzzy, I'm going to curl up in bed!

DH is off today. He got a call from his EX supervisor (since they took his route away he has another person who oversees all of the guys who do vacation coverage) about an account and DH got dressed and went to help him. How does this happen? NOT DH's route, NOT DH's supervisor, NOT DH's problem! And he wasn't going to get paid for going in, either!! So 20 minutes after he left he called to say the guy got it figured out and now he is on his way back home. Ridiculous.

Princess has gymnastics today. After nap I will take her for a haircut. I wanted to get it cut this morning but the lady only had afternoon appts. so that was that.

Morning DDA! Life's been crazy, no idea why. Work is going good and for some reason the house is staying clean enough - just no idea why there's no computer time at home for me anymore! Found out yesterday my cousin is pregnant (there really is something in the water); she's the one that got married on 7/7. I promise to get the ornament for the exchange out on Friday. No ifs, ands or buts on that one. We've picked a florist. It feels weird that everything is done - except for paying off a few people. Off to go get ready for work! Have a wonderful day DDA!

I don't remember if it was posted yet, but it looks like the P&PP dates for early 2008 have been released. I really hope some May (if that's when we get to go) dates are released later!

Pirate and Princess Party Dates for 2008
Walt Disney World has official dates announced for January through March for 2008 Pirates and Princess parties. April-August dates are anticipated although not officially verified. Tickets purchased on or before December 15 are priced at $33.95 plus tax for adults and $29.95 plus tax for children (ages 3-9), with DVC members and Annual Passholders paying an even lower $29.95 plus tax for adults and $25.95 plus tax for kids. Regular advance ticket pricing after December 15 is not yet known. Day of Event pricing is significantly higher, at $45.95 plus tax for adults and $39.95 plus tax for kids. To purchase tickets, call (407) WDW-AHOY or (407) 939-2469. Official dates thus far are:

January 21, 26, 29
February 2, 5, 9, 14, 22, 26
March 1, 6, 11, 14

Good morning, DDA! How are you all this chilly (at least for me) morning. We're supposed to get up to the low-60s today, but man it's chilly at 5:30am.

Well it's a very cold 29 degrees here now expected to go into the low 40's. I am not happy.

It's weird. But good - because now we have a year to pay everyone off and not use CC's for it. But yea - reception, cake, florist, DJ, tuxes and dresses are picked but not bought. Really the only thing that we actually have to do is invites and the Enrichment program so we can get married in Church.

I think I can verify this. That webinar that I took last week had a chart for us to use for clients and letting them know "Time's to Visit" and had all the Special Event's listed. P&PP is highlighted from January to September, ending when MNSSHP starts.

The boards were down for me last night. I just couldn't load it so I gave up.

My doctor wanted me to give the anxiety med a try again since I'm not currently taking any other meds. She was convinced that light headedness is not a side effect of the anxiety med. She is WRONG I've only taken it twice and I am so light headed. I even felt so faint that I thought that I was going to vomit. I will take the back pain that I get when stressed over the lightheadedness any day.

I guess I'd better go into my closet and pick out an appropriate outfit for the funeral. She was always dressed to the nines so I'm sure it will be a dressy affair.

I do have a question about Thanksgiving, do any of you have a recipe for an unusual side dish that you love? Something that you wouldn't necessarily see on the menu?

Mom's Fried Corn

As much corn as you want (can be thawed frozen, or canned, drained well)
A full stick of butter or margarine
Salt & pepper to taste (I use no salt, and a little pepper)

Melt butter in an electric skillet on low. Add well-drained corn and stir well. Cover and cook on low until the corn starts to caramelize. Salt and pepper to taste just before serving. (I put this on in the morning and cook it for a few hours.)
