I guess I need to thank SIL for pushing me to try knitting. My other SIL helped me (um I mean she did it) cast on the stitches for another hat.

You did a great job on the hat you made. I look forward to seeing your next one.

I completely agree! I was told repeatedly that "If liked MVMCP, then [I'll] absolutely love MNSSHP". Because of that, I was somewhat disappointed. It was fun enough, but I didn't get into it near as much as MVMCP. Of course, this from the girl who is listening to Christmas music already.... :rolleyes1

oh I am so with you on the Christmas music. I started listening to it Nov.1st

Have him take the pieces with him tomorrow with the rest of his project? He can show how much work he put into the project by having to redo it.

Nick has worked on it at school. That is where he painted it so I'm sure his teacher will know that this is a different one. This one looks more like a bow and the paint is on it. It still needs to dry, but at least he has something tomorrow. This is his worst subject too. I really hope that he isn't too tired tomorrow as the time change will add into it.

I picked up DH's bike on Friday. I decided it wasn't worth trying to hide it since he'd probably find it-even at my MIL's. So I gave it to him Friday. I figured he could remember on Christmas that he got the bike and maybe he'd be able to enjoy it between now & Christmas. He actually gets overwhelmed at Christmas so I think it was for the best. His reaction was what I expected. He doesn't let getting gifts (I guess that explains why he can't buy them for anyone else). He thinks his bike from when he was 6 is just fine. It is a huge old schwinn. I don't know he rode it at 6. I haven't seen him ride it in at least 20 years. He occasionally rides around the neighborhood on a kid's 20" bike we got at the dump. I think eventually he'll realize that bikes have made some improvements over the last 46 years. I'm sure come next spring he will love it but it takes him a long time to warm up to new things. I'm actually glad I don't have to deal with this Christmas day.

Sounds like you made a good decision on this one. My mom just bought Becky a new jacket that she gave her now as well. We are getting to the point where waiting until Christmas morning isn't necessary. My cricut will be my birthday/Christmas present from someone (even if it is myself). :lmao:

Thanks. It was really nice yarn from Italy. The new one I've started it that fun fur. I got it on sale at Michaels for $1/skein. I think it will be a lot harder to work with.

I did one of those a few years ago. I really like it. SO warm!

I've been on ebay off and on all day. I managed to win a used Burton snowboard for Chris and a new board with bindings for Hunter. I have questions in to the seller of Hunter's as I need to buy boots for Hunter and Chris, but want to get ones that will work with the board and bindings. It has been a long day.

I'm sure you'll love your bug! It looks so cool!

A friend of mine just bought at cuttlebug - I think it is made by the same company as the cricut but you can't adjust the size of the cuts on that one. I think if I were going to invest in one I would want the cricut.

I had a crazy weekend. Am trying to relax now.

Work has been nuts with tons of issues, which I hope go away on there own. But I think they will not. People are irritated about things which are out of my control and not things I can change or fix. Some I can hopefully improve but the solutions are currently clear as mud.

Monday night I have a parent meeting. Wednesday I will be in Valley Forge for a meeting. Thursday I will be at the Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women in Philadelphia for work. Both nights I have a meeting.

My shoulders and back is killing me. I am not sure why, but it is not pleasant.

Sending prayers, :wizard: :grouphug:  to all of you.

I have been trying to figure out how to have a quick trip to WDW before the end of the year. Not sure if it will happen but it has definitely been in my thoughts.

If you turn the back far enough it blinks. Not sure if I told you on the note I sent. Though you probably figured it out already.

nope Had not figured that out yet. Thanks for the info. Of course I am not sure I want Olivia to know it blinks as she will have it on all the time till the battery dies.:lmao:

Elizabeth- Have you heard about Soft Claws, they are covers for cat and dog claws.

The cuttlebug allows you to do embossing as well. I was reading on the scrapbooking board where people get both the cricut (for letters & shapes) and the cuttlebug (for embossing). Of course, many of them have both the Cricut & the Cricut Expressions. :lmao: They scrap every day. I want the small one because it will be easier to transport. If I start scrapping more, I can always pass on the Cricut to Katrina and get the Cricut Expression for myself.

I have it on. Chris went to bed as he said the Cowboys are making it boring :lmao: I can't see how they could lose at this point.

And with that I am off to bed.

REES IS GOING
HOME TODAY!!!!!!!

:wizard: Good luck with your work issues.

Sounds like you might be getting sick. :wizard: Hope not as it doesn't sound like you have time for that right now.

Those must be fun to put on. I think Elizabeth would need teeth covers too.;)

I wasn't sure if the cricut did embossing as I don't really know too much about them. My friend is a card maker so she was very interested in the embossing feature. She does some beautiful things. Another coworker that I don't know as well brought in some absolutely stunning things!
