Is a 10 year old boy going to want to do the masks at Epcot? I'm thinking of doing the passports instead for them.

I'm really having fun getting started on our June trip. This is going to be so much fun. I am looking for pins for pin collecting thanks to Elizabeth.

DS did a mask once - it was either the 1st or 2nd trip and he hasn't wanted to do one since. It really depends on the child. He has a Passport the same trip and he seemed to enjoy it but he hasn't looked at it again.

Well, my mom and brother got home from the shore a little bit ago and things just arent looking good. On Tuesday, my grandpa will be going for tests to see if the cancer is spreading. He wants to know if the problems he has been having are a result of the cancer spreading or from the chemo. He hasnt been eating and is veryw eak and depressed..started talking about DNR orders and hospice..just a really hard night..sorry, had to get it out

I am sorry, Jen.

I'm not sure if I will have time to get back on, so talk to you all in a few days! We will be back late Wednesday night.

Have a wonderful time, Janet!!

I love the one your SIL made. It is beautiful but I can't imagine a boy wearing it. It wouldn't fit an adult, would it? :rotfl:

Bernadette - I think the hat you made for Joe is adorable! It looks great on him! I was going to say the one from SIL isn't THAT girly, but the 2nd pic of it really IS girly!:rotfl2:

o man deb--hope it works out!

Poor Nick! I hope he gets a good grade on the project!:wizard:

Elizabeth, what is the site where you track all the Disney pins that you own? ETA: I found it. www.pinpics.com

:rotfl2: You are the one who told me about PinPics to begin with!:rotfl2:

Elizabeth- Have you heard about Soft Claws, they are covers for cat and dog claws.

Yes. They look like a pain in the tushy. Arabella yells when we restrain her long enough to just clip her little nails. Then Aurora comes running to see what all the fuss is about - it makes her very nervous. Trying to glue little caps on Arabella's toes would drive us ALL over the edge. And I am not going to mess with taking her to the groomer to have it done because the caps only last about 6 weeks. Thanks for the link, though!:)

Earlier today I was looking at the MVMCP pins and making a list of all of the pins I want to buy in December. I made a comment to DS that I am going to ask the uncles to bring me some pins. And he made a face at me like he knew I was lying. That face that kids make when they KNOW your secret and they wish you would just give it up. Tonight I was reading my UG because I wanted to see what it says about Universal (I know - blasphemy). So DS gives me this SLY look and he says "I wish we could go back to Disney before August." Then he just stared at me. I said "Bye!" and went back to my book. Then he said "Maybe I can suck up to the uncles and get them to take me with them!" He started to rattle off compliments that he thought might help him snag a free trip.:rotfl: So I don't know if he knows we are going or if it is just him wishing out loud.:confused3

I have it on. Chris went to bed as he said the Cowboys are making it boring :lmao: I can't see how they could lose at this point.

And with that I am off to bed.

and trust me, i am very glad the cowboys made it boring! gonna love seeing those eagles fans tomorrow ;)

Becky - I think you need a trip to WDW.;)
I forgot Kristine and Amy when I was naming off December DDAers the other day - sorry! We aren't all going at the same time but there will sure be a LOT of us there next month!

My jaw is all weird now because of that crown. I think while the very back one was messed up the crown on the tooth in front of it shifted, now my bite is all out of alignment. Just the thought of trying to get it fixed makes me tired.:sad2:

We just had a major crisis in our house  Nick has an Aztec project due and he decided to make a bow and arrow. He worked on it all week, selected a stick, whittled the bark off, painted the designs on it. He just needed 2 holes drilled for the string and help stringing it. I drilled the holes and he apparently asked dh to string it. DH (aka bull in a China shop) pulled the string too tight and snaped the stick into many small pieces. This was 10 minutes after Nick's bedtime. Then he went out to find another stick, but came back with a straight one so we both went out in the dark searching for an appropriate branch. Remember we have NO trees on our property so I hope we didn't flash our light into our neighbors houses while we searched the outskirts of their properties. We finally found on that will work. Dh had to cut it to the right size and then he took it out and whittled the bark off. I drilled holes and added the string and now Nick is trying to paint it again. He had put a lot of thought into his paint scheme using gold and green because the Aztecs cherished gold and jade. Hopefully it will dry overnight and Nick won't be too tired tomorrow.

I swear that I read everything, but I can't remember now.

Great pictures Glynis.

Yey for the Pats.

sorry guys my head is mush right now, not to mention the headache. The look on Nick's face when the branch snapped broke my heart.

oh no, poor Nick. Glad you were able to find a new stick.

well the itching was a little better today.

Becky I hope you start feeling better:wizard: . I hope work improves.

Vicki safe travels to Lansing tomorrow.

Thanks! I should be in bed but I have to finish one more load of laundry. My new washer's end of cycle bell isn't loud enough. I have it set to loud and have the basement door open and still couldn't hear it. Its in the dryer now.

I hope everyone had good weekends. I need to get to bed soon, but am trying to squeeze out a few last minute things on my "to do" list. I didn't get quite as much accomplished today as I would have liked, but I still made a decent dent. I made the "mistake" of printing off an exhaustive packing list from the DCL board, and I'm having heart palpitations at all the things it says I should bring! :scared1: I need to cull through it and see what is really necessary.

I did laundry and ran a whole slew of errands yesterday. Today was church, and then Jonathan and I ran to Lowe's to pick up some things we needed with a coupon that expired today (finally got lamp shades for our bedroom, for lamps I've had for 5 months! ), and then we went on the quest for luggage.

And whew, that took a lot longer than I was expecting. We went to a couple of luggage stores, dept. stores, and the Samsonite outlet just to get a feel of what was out there. After today, I've decided that for us, Samsonite seems cheaply made, and is horribly expensive. I couldn't believe the prices at the outlet! :scared: We ultimately decided to get some more Delsey luggage. I have one carry-on suiter of years that I bought almost 8 years ago that I love, and of everything we looked at, we liked their features the best for the price. I then came home and comparison-shopped to see what I could come up with online. Thank goodness eBags was running 20% off, plus I got a free "personal" bag with purchase. Wish I could have gotten free shipping, too, but I'll take what I could get!

Hopefully, these bags will last us for a while - I bought a 26" suiter, and a rolling garment trolley in sage green. My 21" from them is also sage green. Unfortunately the one other decent-sized suitcase we have (that isn't now too big for the airline weight limits) is a London Fog bright red. I told Jonathan if we like these bags after using them in December, then maybe we should ask for another 24 or 26" bag of the same line so we're not all mismatched. I hope these bags last as long as my other Delsey has (and it still works great)!

We also pulled the trigger on a camcorder we've been planning to buy for the trip. I know it's a good one and we got a good price, but after today, my CC needs a rest. I just don't like spending lots of money anymore.

Have a great Monday morning, DDA! Hope everyone feeling under the weather is much better. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Good Morning DDA,

Denise - Fantastic news about Rees!

I really, really, hate time changes, I have been up at 2:30 am for the past two days, which means I am falling asleep by 7:30 pm.

I'm so far behind on my trip preparations that I'm afraid there won't be any postcards this trip. I'll be thinking about all of you.

Oh my gosh, Deb, how terrible! Poor Nick :( I hope it looks wonderful this morning, and he isn't too exhausted! :wizard:

Can you download to it or do you have to use their cards?

Hmm... I didn't know the answer for sure, but what I just read says "works with most downloading services" or uses their cartridges. So I don't really know what all they are capable of. I just think the price is so much nicer if you're worried about them losing the iPod! What about a different brand to start out with, that you can get for much cheaper? I swear by Apple products, but they are certainly never cheap!
